It's great that you are back. I used to enjoy your videos, but when I searched for more videos, you were already gone, so I was kind of disappointed, but you are back, so thanks for that.

I am a 56 year old fart with tech not to mention just trying to learn Spanish now going since end of March, only 4 months. Very motivated since the USA too much emphasis on STEM now in school, so languages, music, the humanities get kicked to the curb, sad too, since my Dad was a college English prof and Dean from way back when in the 1970s, 1980s....although he and other members of my family literally knew no other languages, as far as I know. Yeah, I know, us monolingual Americans and our country pretty sad now, but watched your "motivational video" and of course plan to keep at it for as long as takes or maybe getting back into French too, since quitting aquiring a skill/s like this is NO option at all for me, unless I want to be bored with banal American films, TV series and depressing politics for the rest of my life. So many, multitude of videos and sites/tech that is a steep learning curve for me, truly overwhelming and just trying to learn now a 2nd language. Main question is, I have a Windows 7 quite old now laptop but still runs like a top. But, your downloading page with all the steps is NOT straightforward for a person like me at all. Am I missing some big thing here or is it that complex and also won't work with my old computer anyway??? Pretty savvy though a "growth process", so I finally found the highlighter in DeepL which is also great for word phrases, words, so have that installed at least now, as also "Immersion translate" for double titles on videos finally, truly great. Never ever liked LingQ though since seemed like a racket when your program obviously does same exact thing, nor Readlang which seemed so limited to me also. I look at reading aids like these and yours like they would also help me improve my vocab in my native English as well, never stop learning, always be improving even at a snail's pace, stagnation is NO option!!

I like that - yea I feel you big time, and applaud you on continuing this! Yeah LWT is tricky to get it worknig at first, it's coded as this old web server thing and if you'd want to run it - you'd need your windows 7 to "host" it. Don't worry if your machine is a potato, there are no fancy graphics with the program. Here's a link that aided me on getting things sorted with it, take a look: www.mezzoguild.com/how-to-install-learning-with-texts-lwt/
hope this goes smoothly and wishing you well on your progress in being the only non-monolingual in your family, it's a great hobby. I'm actually posting an update to this, this week so I'll show more on my Spanish progress too, I've started actually getting serious in the past month or two, now that summer got me more free than usual.

thank you much, muchas gracias, mucho apreciado since I've installed several language subtitle and reading aids and LWT looks really cool esp. since it's open source, but installing it with all the steps and my 56 year old brain with tech too, not just 2nd languages, looks a bit way too much for middle aged me. But LR looks really good so far, but it says pro features go away in 2 weeks, assume most of the rest of it will be free intact since just a chrome extension, right?

The preposition "to" is used with happen. I do not want to criticize you I simply want to help you. In my native language being Russian we use "with" with happen so I would make the same mistake without knowing this rule. To be honest I have been learning English for almost six years and still do not speak it well. As far as I know the Spanish language is closer to English even though they are from distinct language groups. I wish you good luck in your English learning journey!
