Nice! That one is pretty much identical to the old Ferrari fragrance from back in the day. So random lol. Smells amazing but I’d say too sweet for my tastes these days. Lasts forever though.

    2 things:

Mate, I'm nearing a thousand bottles, but i've been at this for over 3 decades now. Instead of fragrances for life, i'd suggest fragrances for 'phases' or 'stages' of your life. Like the scent for that period of your life. As you change, so should your scent. That's my take anyway. Cheers from the land down under

I've been trying to avoid collecting for the reasons that you've mentioned. I tend to like anything incensey without going too warm amber. A cheap incense I use is morningstar green tea, very tranquil, calming and fresh but still a little austere. Glad you're doing well, love your energy and message at the end.

Recently discovered your page and I love everything about your content! Thanks for sharing about your personal journey as well, I identify a lot as im sure a lot of people do. also, as a perfume lover, i would never have thought id ever be absorbed like i am by a fragrances review haha! i absolutely adore a musky and peppery scent for myself, and so I've been obsessed with Tuscan Leather by TF for the last couple of years. Ive always been a TF lover, but not every scent is for me (dont like the too girly-sweety-flowery scents). Used to wear Black Orchid for a looooong time. and also oud oil bought in Morocco. But those are definitely a/w perfumes. I usually go with something lighter in the summer. My go tos are: Infusion d'Iris by Prada, Jardin en Méditerranée by Hermès, and I recently discovered Hinoki & Cedarwood by Jo Malone and I think it will definitely be my next summer perfume. Thanks for everything, looking forward for the next videos! xx

My list of 7 Fragrances I can't live without:
    1. Azzaro The Most Wanted edp - the best night out, clubbing fragrance, MASSIVE compliment getter and intoxicatingly gorgeous
    2. Valentino Uomo Intense - sophisticated iris, vanilla, leather scent with a more unique scent profile, you won't be smelling this on a lot of people and it got me positive attention
    3. Dior Homme Sport - elegant fresh scent, extremely versatile, great performance and that characteristic Dior touch that elevates it over other citrus fragrances
    4. JPG Le Male pride edition - insanely addictive citrus/white floral unisex scent that is intoxicating. I bought the 125 ml bottle AND a backup of it, it's the only backup bottle I ever bought, it's just that good
    5. Tom Ford Eau d'Ombre Leather - in my opinion the best in the OL line, because I'm kind of tired of smelling the original everywhere and this one is the most versatile and mass appealing of all 3. Not a massive SILLAGE but longevity is eternal, it's still on my clothes after a month
    6. Brioni edp Intense - a designer bordering niche with a one of THE BEST openings I have ever smelled. Versatile, elegant, classy and rich, this has to be in my collection
    7. Armani Code edt/parfum - this is and will continue to be an all time classic, you absolutely nailed it in your description, it's soooo versatile but lends itself better to more formal attire. I don't think a single person can smell Code and not like it

Here is my Fragrantica review of Celine Nightclubbing, working from a sample from their Discovery set:
I'm test wearing Nightclubbing from a Discovery set decant, but I did spray 10+ times on skin and clothes. It's simply far too weak a performer. I'm not one of those young Beastmoder's who gripe if a scent isn't nuclear, and I cherish lots of subdued skin scents in my collection, but this is gripe-worthy. Anyway, scent profile wise, this does not smell like Cabochard by Gres, a fragrance I have. Although, frankly, Cabochard does a better job of creating a Nightclubbing vibe, as long as its a 1959 club. Nightclubbing is a tobacco-oriented scent, where the tobacco accord is evidently formed by a combination of the Powdery, Green, Earthy, Mossy, Woody, and Balsamic accords. Galbanum no doubt plays an important role in this tobacco accord. It's rather pleasant and very wearable, despite the tobacco being a bit on the raw, raunchy side. The brand hilights nicotine, and reviewers often characterized it as a cigarette/cigarette smoke or ashtray sort of smell, but I don't agree. To me, it's more of a pre-smoked tobacco smell, albeit a slightly "raunchy" variety. Its not acrid or even smoky. It's a pleasant, dusty tobacco. Not challenging at all. There are two fragrances I would use as a comparative reference: Jazz Club from Maison Martin Margiela's Replica line, and Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d'Orange. Very different fragrances, but ones that go for a similar vibe. Jazz Club has a tobacco with a similar, but stronger, raunchy facet. Jasmin et Cigarette imparts a rather realistically stale cigarette tobacco, as if you are smelling an unsmoked cigarette directly, and is the only one of the three thats a bit challenging. I think both Jazz Club and Jasmin et Cigarette are better artistic creations, and are certainly stronger performers that Nightclubbing. This is an awfully quiet nightclub.

Do you think the Molton Brown is blind buy worthy? Found a sealed bottle EDP on Ebay for $90 available for bid.

    • @itscharlesmackenzie
      @itscharlesmackenzie  12 дней назад

Nope. I have been so dissatisfied with blind buys my whole life. I think you need to smell everything first. Because yes, it’s all good smelling in theory, but it’s also subjective. And like, most times you’re going to expect so much initially and be pissed at the influencer who convinced you to buy it because you expect instant satisfaction but with some frags you just need an experienced nose to appreciate it. Almost as if it’s an art piece and less of something that you want to wear.
So if you’re looking for a summer fragrance blind buy I think keep it under $100 and go with nautica voyage, azaro chrome, or aqua di gio. Less “art” here but more easy to wear, practical, mass pleasing energy.
I’ve just been disappointed so many times personally I can’t recommend a blind buy unless you’re a collector or a curious person willing to take a risk.

Thanks for the video. I havent tried some of these on this video and I'm curious to check them out. Also, great camerawork and production value for someone who seems to be just starting out (relatively).
However, A bit of constructive criticism from a viewer, if you'll indulge me. 'Literally' just about seems to be America's new fav word to use everywhere and anywhere, among kids and teenagers and clearly some adults too. Your video title says "you'll literally die". You are saying that if you dont have any of these fragrances, it'll actually cause your death. Thats what 'Literally' means. Not figuratively, not metophorically....but 'literally'. Like if you didnt have water or food or air, your body would perish. Its hard to take someone seriously who actually wants to sound immature just to use a trendy word that everyone else likes to use, whether it makes sense or not. And this criticism is coming from someone from a third world country whose first language is not English.
    (Sorry, I'm in a mood today...lol)

The moment you have more fragrances (or samples in my case) than you actually use, reassess. Buy too much of anything to only realize that the money spent in several of your bottles could have bough the 300-400USD niche perfume you now want feels a little uncomfortable. @@itscharlesmackenzieI believe the phrasing affected the interpretation, if you said "the price is a little steep but it's worth every penny." it would've landed better.

@ Honestly valid point. I'll take that criticism and adjust moving forward. I basically 1 take these videos and don't think to much about every word I say. As long as my message gets across I am happy.

No you won't die mate, get a grip on yourself. Fragrances are THINGS...your soul is much more vitally important. Get a right perspective. The whole of your fragrance collection could be wiped out in the blink of an eye.

Trying to watch a video that's edited into 3-7 second cuts is beyond absurd. The fact that someone would think its ok to present this as content is baffling.
