This makes me cry to think of what our ancestors went through it breaks my heart. As a nz born Samoan I read up on the history and watch some vids on RUclips. We have a very beautiful deep history of a people that were strong that they fought for independence. I'm so proud to know I descended from navigators the cradle of polynesia and just blessed to have been able to witness Samoa have their first female prime minister. God bless Samoa and her people 🇼🇸✝️✌🏼
How wonderful to see my fellow Tongans taking part in the Sāmoan Independence Day celebrations. I can see the elderly women wearing the ta'ovala who are bundling the ngatu, perhaps they were Tongans who married and settled down in Sāmoa.
