In this video I install an aftermarket Steering wheel and boss kit to the Toyota MR2 Spyder Track-car, I also use a resistor to override the airbag warning light on the dash and I relocate the horn..

You don't need to disconnect the battery and you should really put a fuse in line with resistor, then put everything back to standard for the MoT.

The resistor is not polarity-conscious.
