Big Up Bionic Dub ! Crucial Roots Classic. Great 👍 song from Pablo the Great. I could tell for the first listen that this is really hard roots vibrations that the people need to hear 👂.
Norris was a beautiful soul He and I used to reason together and he was going to record one of my songs and version it that sadly will never happen but he has left a wonderful legacy of great roots music.we must unite
I noticed that , I think it was only Style Scott & Flabba Holt ...possibly at time of release '79 the Radics were ' getting hot ' with the Barrington Levy connection. So it may have helped sell it to a different market that wanted 'the new thing' & may not have heard of Norris Reid . ( though it does sound quite like the laid back style the Radics used when backing Mr Isaacs )
@@andchat6241 Radics in FIne Style at Channel One. Its Style (Drums). Flabba (Bass), Steelie (Organ), Bingy (Guitar) ,(Dwight is not playing here) Augustus Pablo Play piano here (Normaly it would be Gladstone Anderson or Steele) but not neccary cause he could play himself so could save money I think !!!! Percussion could be anyone (Sky Juice, Bongo Herman, Skully, Sticky) two other songs from the session are Ten To One , (Delroy Williams), Bunny Brissett , Selfish One. From another session there is the rare "Rise in the Strenth of Jah" on rockers 12inch by Norris Reid (recorded at Harry J) along side a couple of songs from Delroy Williams and Pablo him self).
@@joukeyspeerd thanks - yeah I know the 'Rise in the strength of Jah' track, thats got a 'Norris Reid' writers credit !... A number of the Radics are named on my copy of Delroy Williams 'I Stand Black' - I assume the tracks that were recorded at Channel One , The rest at the 'regular' Harry Js .
@@crucialpdenislea1963 yes same song both played by radics one produced by Pablo and one by Linval Thompson!! Also pablos version recorded at Harry J and Thompsons version at Channel One!!!!
