Thanks for this nice review of the different plates. In your description you mention 3.5mm Poron Gaskets where used. Can the 3.5mm Poron Gasket can be applied on both side instead of the silicone gaskets, and this setup fit into the case without much compression of the poron gaskets? Or have you applied the 3.5mm poron gaskets only on the bottom side? From pictures/videos of the M1 i would have guessed that the original silicone gaskets add less than 3.5mm on each side of the plate. I don't have the Monsgeek M1 yet, but want to buy some modding stuff so that when the monsgeek arrives i can test different setups and see which will be me favourite. And do you have some more information about the 3.5mm thick poron? I can only find 2mm thick ones.
i'm having an issue with my pom plate. my backspace and enter keys don't go back up after being pressed but this doesn't happen with the pc plate that originally came with the board. i'm using tx ap stabs and akko cream yellow pro switches. any ideas on how to fix this issue?
@@Josh-ik1jy thanks for the reply! The pcb only allows for one orientation iirc (like the holes are differently sized) but I sent it back for a replacement and its working a lot better than before.
@@Flameboy0501 Well as you'd expect, POM makes for a much softer typing feel than the FR4. But I personally kind of like the stiffer feeling of the FR4 plate for this board. Just makes typing feel alot more solid which I kinda prefer.
I love the POM sound. Gonna build one when the materials arrive with banana milk switches. Do hope they sound creamy as well. Havent had these yet
Sound wise that POM got me
That FR4 plate will sound great with tactiles.

How did you get the space bar to sound like that? Its insane. Literally the cleanest space bar sound I’ve ever heard

FR4 or POM, which do you prefer? Having a hard time to decide between these two. (Currently using stock PC plate)
FR4 slaps!

Which one is the best among the 3?
How's the sound and feel compared to tiger80 lite?
Is it just me or does it sound like there’s not a lot of difference between POM and FR4?
Yeah I caught that aswell. There isn't really a huge sound difference between em.
Is there a difference in typing feel tho?

Huge enough for me. POM has a bit of this hollow-y deep sound and fr4 has a sharp end to it.
Same here. No much difference
What have you done, to give the keyboard more flex? Is it the poron gaskets? Were can I get them?

@@Val_Smith thx. Ordered them already. 😉

How about alu plate mate
Does the monsgeek m1 sockets fit the akko pom silver switches? Please answer im gonna buy the keyboard soon
Yes they should fit perfectly fine since they're 3 pin switches.
