- Sailing's not all about constant action. In fact, a lot of the time it can be pretty boring. So, in this episode, we try to show a brief glimpse of how we fill the time in those moments between needing to actively sail the boat.
We leave the Atlantic side of the Outer Hebrides and make our way back through the sound of Harris and down to the Isle of Barra. After making a quick stop to re-provision, we set sail again and headed down to the small island of Staffa. Here, we venture into the majestic Fingal's cave in our little dinghy and capture some great drone footage of the island just before sunset. The sailing continues the following day through the sound of Iona and back towards mainland Scotland.

Just back from the West Coast myself, I visited some of the anchorages you've featured in this series of videos. Thanks, they were great.
I now wished we went ashore on Staffa. We visited the island but just drifted past the cave; It is stunning.
Dont forget the other half the time..when the wind changes in the middle of the night and the anchor alarm goes off anyway. As soon as i heard the alarm ...ha ha

Great film, nice to make the landing lucky with weather. Vests please in the dinghy… you are amazing sailors and sure ye are awesome swimmers but your “influencers” on YT and some donkey will try the same in a F6… ye wear them all the time normally… stay safe and safe home
Fair comment we do usually wear our smaller life jackets when exploring in the dingy.
