The noise looks minimal on the display! Looks great for a USB-type scope. I'd be interested in what the hold-off and triggering look like with complex or fast type signals. At $280 that's not awful, but I'm with you and would recommend a bench-type scope.
So far so good - you have to find it for a good price though, at the time of posting the video, the price was through the roof - keep in mind it IS a fairly high-end USB scope
Does it have FFT functionality? Can it do bode plots with the built in signalgen? It would be nice if it could do those functions with the 14bit resolution.
Great review but I just looked at the price for the VDS6102A on Ali and it's just shy of 500 quid ! way to much for a 100Mhz 2 channel scope unless its got a party trick we haven't seen besides the Sig Gen, but thanks for the review and I look forward to seeing the alternatives, probally just setup but the signal displayed on the UNI T bore no resemblance to the waveform displayed on the scope ? the displayed signal was far more complex and nasty looking ! am I missing something please ?....cheers.
The price is a bit out to lunch - availability dropped since I got it, and so the price went up - it was under 400$ Canadian when I first got it. The waveform shape is hard to figure out - it could be the sig gen or the scope - but I think it has to do with the cabling - I have to look into it more
@@SimpleElectronics Haha yes it is ! and it could well be cables, I'm glad you didn't pay that much though and once again thanks for the review..........cheers.
I don't know why, but your voice is extremely soothing to hear! Great job! What about the probes though do they do their job well?

Very nice it reminds me of a picoscope
Hello, are you still happy with this device? Have you discovered any "issues" or flaws? Thanks for the review!!! Great job! Stay healthy!

no waveform math and no FFT, their 25MHz model seems to have that though
Ac coupled 1/2 hz ? Better use dc coupling.
Oh and please show the 14bit resolution ( zoom into signal and see least significant bits).
Good idea, thanks!
@@SimpleElectronics Yeah, with AC coupling you get a lower frequency limit usually around 10Hz, it should be in the specifications
Is it possible to define a scale factor in the software so that the oscillogram will show for example Amps instead of always Volts?

@@SimpleElectronics now it's around 700€ (~1050$ CAD) ... 😅 I'll think I'll stick to the way cheaper hantek 😅
@@drfailbucket the price skyrocketed recently, probably due to availability concerns, give it a week or two, it will be back to about 400$ CAD
What about 14 bit resolution? Is it real?
Looks like missing FFT feature. Will they add it?
Why are you AC coupling for the sine wave?
Does not work!!!!!!!!!!! Communication ERROR!!!!!!!!! ?
What does USB - Driver - Output to PC mean on Win 10?
Currently $706. That's insane.
It's like 400$ at digikey, places like BG and Ali/EBay are quite variable on price
I just bought the VDS6104A for €375 at Eleshop.
takr a barrel jack over that crap micr usb anyday.
