Hey he lives! Welcome back Johnny. Was afraid you dropped off the face of the earth for good. Glad to see you’ve joined the cult of the N&W. It was always my favorite railroad. I have an old MTH Norfolk and Western J with an electronic whistle but I’d love to give it the full Protosound 3/Legacy treatment if I could, preferably from Sid. 😊 I noticed your layout has gotten a huge makeover. Can we expect a layout tour soon?
I have some old issues of Model Railroader magazine where guys have taken to Berkshire locomotive and made one articulated locomotive out of it and you cannot even see the joint where the two bodies are joined together. Model railroaders even tinplate we're Craftsman in the old days. You really had to be dedicated to be a Model Railroader back then.
Hat's off to ya...Maybe the first time I've laughed out loud at a model train vid (well, other than SCL3618's _HO Scale Fails & Derailments_ series). Getting serious Evan Kale vibes here, and _that's_ an accomplishment :D I'm primarily Northeast stuff, but have been seeing a slow influx of run-thru power from "the other side" I see you've been at York. We've probably crossed paths as I've attended every one since 1998.
Wow, Johnny, wonderful video! It was exciting and beautifully done. Once again, Sid has done an awesome job on a locomotive upgrade! Besides seeing Sid, it was great to see George and Tim in the video too. Keep up the great work! Bill B.
Excellent video!! I loved the intro! It's nice to see some east coast hit your rails lol! The upgrade was very well done (good job Sid!) and I think you've got a wonderful model there. My only grievance with the MTH A was the letter spacing on the tender is just a bit too small. Aside from that, she looks beautiful! I understand the price tag on the Vision one (I'm still recovering...) but really do enjoy mine. Can't wait for your next video!
Dude the production quality on this was nuts! I loved all the humor. Great seeing you and Sid together in this project! One of the best things you've ever made dude! 😂🔥❤
Hello Johnny Great video those train demons I know I get them also I cant decide to get the new Kato N scale charger or p42 Genesis locos I own eleven Amtrak trains from them you know .Oh wait a minute I have 30 P42 Genesis locos So my decisions should be a NO BRAINER what do you think Johnny please let me know that's for sharing your videos Your funny side is very contagious take care GOD BLESS ;-)
Who DOSEN'T LOVE 1218. she is a beast and a badass. She MUST HAVE WORLD DOMINATION. SHE WILL BE IN EVERY HOME. THERE IS NO ESCAPE. No. All joking aside. There is something about 1218 that is mesmerizing. I have one ho scale. They are simply just fun
Steam locomotive had a soul of Their Own and their whistles were haunting. They save this country during the war and they rewarded with being scrapped while they had Decades of service life left in them. Mostra sitting on scrap Lions still while the Diesels that replace them were on their way to be traded in on new diesels. Such a rotten shame.
When K line came out with an o27 size big boy for $400 I bought one. The review and classic toy trains lamented the fact that they did not also make one and American Flyer gauge as well. I have a small 027 layout underneath my hi-rail layout where I run just 027 locomotives and cars so they do not look out of place. I would never pay the ridiculous prices that Lionel wants for its locomotives. Some of my old pre-war and post-war locomotive cost me $30. They were in running condition as well. For the price of one Lionel locomotive with all the bells and whistles I could build a whole layout. For product made in a country where they work at $2 an hour these trains are obscenely overpriced. Their electronics are also unreliable and short-lived. Whether you use them or not. Command control locomotive their Electronics if they are not used will delaminate in time. Electronics are also ridiculously expensive to replace. I would rather have a conventional engine that ran forward with no Bells no whistles no smoke no nothing. I just want them to run.
Excellent video Johnny!!! It was my pleasure being able to build that engine for you. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much Sid, this video turned out fantastic and it's thanks to you and your awesome acting. Hope we can collab again soon~!
Love the WOTW tripod horns used super cool love the sound so much

Wait Johnny and Sid are going to Hooters? I want in on that.
Great conversion, you don’t have to give me exact numbers but what’s the average cost to upgrade an MTH premier PS1 to what you have here.
