We were going to go to Eagle Pass, Maverick County Airport but didn't want to drive across the country to look at clouds. I've seen them before.
We changed plans and went the opposite direction, to Merrill, Maine where it was cloudless. The total eclipse from the center line in a completely clear sky, way out in the country was amazing!

I went from Houston to SA, and decided Sunday evening to drive to Dallas. So glad I did. It worked out for me thankfully, and I had clear skies for 20 mins just in time for totality. Absolutely Amazing!!!😎

I’m happy to think that because of this beautiful celestial event a child will be inspired and become an astronaut ,astrophysicist or aerospace engineer 😊.

This would've been better had the female reporter not constantly talked over and interrupted people. Just let the enthusiastic dude on scene describe it.

Is there any reason why the camera in eagle pass just showed the field and ground and very little of the eclipse?

There's been solar calendars for thousands of years. The Maya predicted eclipses with insane accuracy. The even predicted the 1991 solar eclipse.

Oh Wow. It's not like you can see that every night after the sunset. LOL What is wrong with people? Technically these happen regularly. This isn't even the first one in my lifetime. This is nothing more than a typical, standard, eclipse. Been there, Done that.
