Radney always sings his songs better than the more popular guys. You can tell he wrote it.

Unknowingly, Keith changed a lyric. Radney had written the lyric as "your kiss is the incense of a prayer nailed to a door" Keith accidentally changed incense to innocence and, even though it worked out in the end, it made the lyric different.

Wonder if he still has that 1959 jumbo on the cover of Del Rio, TX album?

I think the unfortunate issue for Radney was that Foster and Lloyd were just getting more and more popular when the act broke up. Radney still wrote great material but took a more laid back approach. The Dixie Chicks also rode Never Say Die all the way to the bank for him.
I think on this video Radney is probably in his element, despite the flashy video for Nobody Wins.
People often equate happiness with chasing after a brass ring and judge success by numbers. Maybe he is just as happy without the grind and avoiding the musical rat race.

I love this song. So much. Hate the fact that Keith Urban gets all the credit for it though...

+Katie Daisley What would songwriters be without singers to sing what they write? Keith made it a huge hit for Radney.

Radney isn't just a songwriter. He was a huge country star in the late 80's-90's. He doesn't need other people to make his songs hits. That was just the case for this one and I'm sure Radney is gracious to Keith for that.

Real musicians don't dance around crotch grabbing. They play instruments and let their music speak
