@@arashmizrahi17 DKC2 is my favorite game in the entire SNES library, mostly because of its music, but gameplay plays a big part. 2 is so much better than 3 and original.
That’s true! David Wise was going to use a relaxing song for the water levels, but went with the more upbeat dramatic tune while using a more mellow and wonderful track would be best for tough ones like this!
I think for me is the complete lack of *any* floor or landscapes what gets me, all clouds and brambles, nothing below As a kid these levels used to unnerve me for this very reason😂
I remember getting 102% back in '95-96, without internet and I had the Japanese version (I don't know Japanese) so Cranky's advice was out of the question.
Finally got to play this level for the first time today. The music helped me in a way I can't describe. It was like I instinctively knew what I was doing and I was going to be alright
One of the greatest video games of all time. If you grew up in the 80s/90s then you know, there was nothing like it when it came out. Did everything donkey kong country did but better.
i can remember when i was little and my big niece was playing this with me it was my turn as soon the music starts i went into super concentration mode and my niece couldt talk to me during the levelXD
Anyone else think the SNES version of this level rips the Switch version. The pre-rendered bramble is soooo well detailed and the OST on another level.. amazing stuff
It's been years since I've played this game, but I came across it in my old belongings the other day. I could remember specifically the music in this level, but I couldn't remember which level, so I googled "Donkey Kong Country 2 Soundtrack," and this level was the first to pop up- for obvious reasons

DKC,Castlevania,Mario and Battletoads ports simply have the best OSTs in the 16bit era period...and those games quite possibly are among the top 5 OSTs of all time as well.

The music......too good....serious...best in the whole game.
koopa786 yea I agree same here . what's better this game or donkey kong country ?
Arash Mizrahi dkc2
@@arashmizrahi17 DKC2 of course^^

Arash Mizrahi I like the original a little more but it’s very close.
I'm guessing they chose the most relaxing music possible to aid you in this hellhole of a level.
Pretty much. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s true! David Wise was going to use a relaxing song for the water levels, but went with the more upbeat dramatic tune while using a more mellow and wonderful track would be best for tough ones like this!
Well thanks to David Wise the music composer of DKC2 choosing the best type of music
That sounds like balance lol
That's the first impression, wow the music & look! Wow what awful game play!
Best music in all of the SNES.
some super metroid music might be better but i agree, it's right up there
Super Metroid has my vote. But this song captures my childhood Saturday nights..so...perfectly..
Chronno Trigger dude
me too, Chrono Trigger has the best soundtrack in snes
Chrono trigger >>> ALL of ALL
The only way to support the frustration of this level is turn the volume up. What a such masterpiece of David Wise.
After all these years, I still love this game and especially that music : )
... the goosebumps!
... the feels!!
... the tears!!!
SDallstar so many goosebumps when the beat goes into its main part
So many tears when I hit the thorn for 50th time
i would purposely go in the wrong direction just 2 hear this level's epic music, love it
Imagine this kind of place actually existed. A giant entanglement of thorns with man sized, man killing bees everywhere.
Nightmare fuel
And yet, it has one of the most relaxing music....
Oh God
I think for me is the complete lack of *any* floor or landscapes what gets me, all clouds and brambles, nothing below

@2:00: "YOU'RE GONNA D-- Bah, forget it."
Sweet music.
Since we got a Mario Maker, we need a Donkey Kong Country Maker!
That would be so good with all the DKC assets.
Nintendo would never make it.

Holy shit, the quality got raped on this one. What have I done to deserve this?
The music is sooooo good!!!!! the only reason i can stand this level lol
I sometimes just stop and let the music play... the rush of nostalgia is almost a bit too much sometimes..
Jazzmin YES! Lol
you clearly haven't reached the checkpoint of youtube
I think the the DKC series may have the greatest soundtracks of any video game
This level gave me so much anxiety as a kid, but it was juxtaposed with just the coolest music ever!
This level is so crowded Display and make me stress but this Music will Balance it and make me relax from that
i can remember when i was little and my big niece was playing this with me it was my turn
as soon the music starts i went into super concentration mode and my niece couldt talk to me during the levelXD
The music thou!!...Damn i miss playing this level
This music had no business being this good. Someone flexed.
You’re a legend for still uploading videos since 2008
Man.. Why this is so beautiful? I'm Crying
The best music, I remember my infancy listening a song.😪
watching this brings back the stressful yet fond memories of this gamer ive recently set my snes up again haha
best music of donkey kong series
It makes no sense how David Wise was able to put masterpieces like this in games that hold up still to this day!
I never even cared if I died in this level the music made me wanna keep playing since RUclips wasn't around in 95-96
This level, the trick is to know every direction and master the timing
I cried at this music my first time
vdd
All Donkey Kong Country Trilogy SNES version was my first Donkey Kong games since 1998/1999 as toddler

There's a switch version?
@@TheUltimateNatural Yeah SNES Nintendo Switch online they have both Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 I’m currently in this level right now haha
As far as I remember, if you see a line of Bananas after a Barrel Cannon, that is usually the direction you should shoot to.
The music is good. The arranged version for Super Smash Bros. is made by Michiko Naruke, well known for the Wild Arms series. Soo good.

How is the music so good in this game? It’s insane.
Okay, It's totally fine. Why am I crying?
In all the SNES Donkey Kong Country games, the more soothing the music, the more frustrating the level is.
XD Boulders? I mean barrels.
The music and background go well together.
i used to listen this stickerbrush symphony in my studies
This stage should have been named "clusterfck"
I’ve this is considered a fan-favorite level.

Had to buy this game all over again 2 weeks ago wrapped it up and opened today for christmas this was a bad ass level 6years old now 29 shit I love it
Childhood traumas coming back to me, I died like 10000 times in this lvl , awesome game
I’m glad I’m not the only one that loved this music when I was growing up my sister and I use to sing lyrics to it while the other played
20 something years later & just watching this gives me anxiety.
Serene music and fun level. What more could you ask for? My favorite level of all. :)
This game was a psychological enigmatic masterpiece.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the music! Alsome! But i had lots of difficulty on the level... lol

I think this is my fav level because I love the music since I was a child, when I used to play the game with my brother and sister. 😄
I woulda never gotten the G without this vid 😁
To this day the best music of any game Nintendo released. I’m super happy they threw it in super smash bros brawl
brawl ruined this music. Even in GB and GBA this theme sounds good

Rodney Ramos Martins kkk quem nunca
É so ficar parado ouvindo
I can't be the only one who found this easier than some of the previous levels, right?
