Those of you still stuck on this level, here's a tip: when Squawks is carrying you, the thorns on the bottom DO NOT HURT YOU. Yes, you can actually "run" along those thorns. This ONLY works if Squawks is carrying you and not if you're turned into Squawks.
+maaariaaa231 This level isn't anywhere near as hard when you realize you can touch the bottom brambles without taking damage when you hold on to Squawks, because the Kongs don't count as a hitbox to the Bramble when hanging from Squawks.

2:13 IT WAS THAT EASY?!! I thought there was some secret route that I hadn't been able to find, so my solution was sacrificing Diddy to be able to squeeze past the UP barrel (2:55), and did the whole spider section backwards.
What's funny is that I somehow remembered this stage being set at daytime as a kid, but returning to it I find that they actually bothered to darken the sky

And I just struggled and struggled to get more and more Kremling Koins and DK emblems without help but I just couldn't do it forever. If this were still the 90's then I would play without help no doubt. So thanks for your help and god bless!
One of the greatest levels in any 2D platformer. Tough but fair for the most part and the variety of challenges it presents is awesome. Plus… the music… My only complaint would be the fake brambles. That’s a little mean.

I reached this level today. It's downright sadistic and pissing me off a lot. Quite possibly the hardest level I've encountered in the game so far. And I thought Red Hot Ride and Slime Climb were bad, this is much worse.
The fake Bramble wall would be BS. But the banana and extended platform make you suspicious and draw attention. Shows how to make a secret without being stupid.
How do you find out these secret invisible walls =o By accident? It's insane imo I would never have guessed. I don't recall finding any of those secrets in fact
This level has me truly stumped. Edit no word of a lie I clicked on the video and then saw the loose banana and thought F it let me just jump into the wall. Didn't even watch the video lol. I had already found the spider sign so I knew it was around the halfway point.
Buying the original console in your Sony trinitron with the rf cable or in your newest led with an ossc adapter for HDMI, with a scart cable for ntsc console
As someone playing this at 8 years old, I would like to see this game redone or rebooted; where it can't be predicted. On a side note, how can a particular run be classed as 102% when the player doesn't even collect all the bananas in the map. Just drives me a lil. Also, if you're gonna boast a % higher than the possible 100%, why not try to not lose any kongs :(

This level’s tricky so here’s a tip, you can touch the bramble floor. This works because the hit box only works for Sqwaks and not the Kongs.
You can let diddy and dixie touch the brambles while riding squawks, oddly enough. It makes the level a lot easier.
