The thing I liked is that R2 belongs to Padma and Anakin built C-3PO which means that Luke and Leia indirectly inherited their parents droids
Also, they exchanged each other's droids. Padme gave Anakin his R2 which would be his legendary companion and friend, while Anakin gave C3PO to Padme as a wedding gift.
Notice: Yoda says that fear leads to the Dark side. Yet, at the end of the movie, he says he fears training Anakin.
If the Jedi didn't treat Anakin like crap and respected him then he wouldn't have become Vader.
We already know he's a Sith lord, because he deals with absolutes.

We give kudos to Jake Lloyd, who played Anakin when he was a child because Jake quit acting in 2001 after he was bullied in school and unable to handle fame. Later years, Jake diagnosed with mental issues. I wished that he was able to attend Star Wars Celebrations with other well-known actors, who were in iconic movie franchise.
The queen's double is Keira Knightley. This was the first big movie she was in.

I'm impressed that you noticed the body double switch so quickly. I never watched as an adult but as a kid I never noticed until they reveal it at the end.
Regarding Yoda, he's old and wise yes but he's also simply following the Jedi code. Anakin didn't grow up training in temple like these serene, high and mighty Jedi are supposed to, he grew up a slave on a harsh and dangerous desert world ruled by a giant mafioso slug.
I've watched a lot of reaction videos of this Episode. It's always consistent that women easily recognize the difference between Padme and Sabe even with full hair and make up on, while men never had a clue before the reveal😅
I saw this in the theater in ‘99 at a young age and had the same reaction to seeing Quigon getting killed as you.
Would definitely be interested if Emma liked "The Duel Of The Fates" which is the piece of music playing during the lightsaber duel between Qui Gon and Obi Wan against Darth Maul.
Star Wars has a lot of great music but that's probably my favourite piece of music from the entire franchise.
If I have ONE compliment about JarJar, it's that he makes great comic relief.
Qui-Gon is definitely one of my favorite members of the Jedi Order, along with Yoda and Mace Windu.
Also, the Podrace spectator isn't the only Star Wars character that Warwick Davis has played. He was also Wicket the Ewok in Return Of The Jedi.
Hi Emma, great reactions. Just a note of interest, for those of us ( old folk) who saw each of these as they were released , there was a 16 year gap between episode 6 and episode 1 ! Its was a long wait.

I love this movie, I saw it in theaters as a kid, people didn't like it years ago when it came out but over time more have grown to love it too
It's still the weakest of the first six films.
I really liked it. Pre-quels are easily better than the originals.

The lightsaber battle and the pod race scene are the best parts of the movie.😊

Watching Star Wars the clone wars fill out much more Anakin's story. Its a long series but probably the best star wars media out there.
Not the best one out of the franchise, but still a good movie and the final fight with darth maul is on top. Enjoyed your reaction :D

Now that you’ve seen episode I, you should react to Weird Al Yankovic’s “The Saga Begins,” based on this movie.
Weird Al hadn't actually seen the movie when he wrote that song. He pieced the story together just from the trailers, and various leaked information on the Internet. He then sent the demo track to Lucasfilm for their approval, and they told him he had gotten 95% of the plot exactly right. He then changed some of the lyrics (based on information Lucasfilm provided to him) to make the song more accurate.

People that grew up with the original trilogy hated this, especially Jar Jar. They forgot these movies were for kids. This movie is awesome compared to 7, 8, and 9

The thing with Jar Jar is audiences hated him. However there is speculation he was supposed to be revealed as an agent of evil using his clumsiness as a cover. It would tie in nicely with the next film if that had been true.

The story is complete after the redemption of Darth Vader and the death of the Emperor.
People really need to stop recommending watching series in chronological order. That's fine if you're doing a re-watch, but the viewer's first experience should always be in release order.
Did people recommend you to start at 4? Why? That's not the intended order, and it spoils a lot of the story if you start at 4
I really loved this reaction! I’m really excited to see your reaction to the next films! I know it’s hard to believe how could Anakin become Darth Vader. It’s really heartbreaking that Qui-Gon was killed, because to me he was the Jedi master Anakin needed more because he’s would’ve been the father figure he also needed. Obi-Wan was more like an older brother figure to Anakin. If you loved Liam Neeson, I highly recommend his films: Christian Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Taken trilogy, and The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy. 🌌🛸⚔️💚💙🤎❤️🖤
