    Good video straight to the point...
    Just wondering in what sequence you tightened the screws to keep from moving!
    Everytime, i have at 0.70v then tighten upper rt. Screw the signal moves to 5.2!
    So, i tried, to tighten bottom left after hours of trying to calibrate signal, only to end up at 5.5
    After, aligning it to 0.71v
    I turned engine off and removed fuel pressure regulator, and tried rt. bottom screw, then upper left.
    Lower left and upper right, snd some how the signal still dropped from my 0.701v
    Somehow when screwing in screws the signal ends up lower!
    Would you please comment on how you did yours??
    Las time i changed, i got it on the second try...
    This time i tried, for 4 hours!!
    Thank you, would appreciate your comment!

      When you got close to 0.7 +- 0.1 V then tight on filing not to hard and you have very litle small srew near pins and you can adjust to 0.7 +-

      @@190mex thank you, for your reply!
      I have a 92, 300e 2.6l
      Would, my model also have small adjusting screw to adjust voltage.
      Is it located on pot. Near the 3 pins? With plug plugged in and mm + to pin 2 and - to pin 1
      I noticed you had cables hooked up which would give you free hand to adjust pot. Up or down-calibrate...
      Thank you, again as I tried for 4 hours yesterday!
      Really, appreciate your help!!

    0:43 - Mine has a bolt from that central pillar going through the air filter.
    It looks like it's not supposed to be there, as I don't see the same bolt on any other picture online, or even in the Haynes manual.
    I see that my bolt is screwed right into the adjustment pillar.
    Could this be a cause of my exsessive fuel consumption?

    • @190mex
      @190mex  3 года назад

      I don't know about the screw, the Mercedes put a plug on the top, otherwise there is a 3mm Allen key inside to adjust the mixture. For higher consumption, the lambda sensor may be defective, the mixture may be set incorrectly (too rich)

      @@alexismontealegre1845 does it stumble and cut out and hold at a certain rpm? Mine did this but only when the engine was cold, I changed my fuel pump check valve (maintains fuel loop pressure) and it fixed it, I did this at the same time as fitting the new jetronic controller so I’m not sure which exactly fixed it, although the car should ‘run’ smoothly without the controller fitted at all, just less efficiently. Are you able to source another ecu? I picked mine up for £20

    Hy! I have a w202 from 1987 with 2.0i engine. I have the same sensor underneath the distributor. How does the engine react when this sensor is broken?

    • @190mex
      @190mex  5 лет назад +2

      The sensor plate potentiometer is installed in airflow sensors in the KE-Jetronic. It measures the deflection of the sensor plate and forwards this information to the control module.
      In conjunction with other sensors such as the throttle valve sensor and lambda oxygen sensor, the control module can identify various engine operating states and correspondingly adapt the amount of injecting fuel.
      Together with an idle actuator, the idling can also be stabilized to make engine idling smoother.

    Thank you , I have a 190e 2.6l. She is randomly stalling. I have had two mechanics look at it and clean different bits on it. Is there stuff I can do?. She also is slower than she should be and hesitates when going up a hill. Originally the problem was that she wouldn't start if the engine was cold. The first mechanic only clean bits on the car and didn't resolve the issue. She has 250k and the second mechanic said it is because she is old. I am the third owner and the last owner had her for 14 years. I think he took care of of her. I do not know where to start with the car.

    • @190mex
      @190mex  7 лет назад +1

      For good performance
      of the engine should have good pressure for the KE jetronic system,
      good spark plugs (distributor, cap, cables). Good air flow
      potentiometer, good temperature sensor, should not have vacuum leaks,
      and this is disadvantageous if they are not regularly serviced. For engine cold start check a temperature sensor, fuel regulator, fuel accumulator.

    Hi 190mex, my car suffers from idling problems and, after cleaning the idle speed valve, I have realised that the air flow potentiometer is not working fine, since the idle is istill inestable when the engine is working at service temperature. Before trying to repair the sensor, I have some doubts: Does this method of fixing the potentiometer actually works? I mean, is it reliable in the long term? Another question is, since there is no way to find graphit 33 where I live, is there another product that can fix the part in the same way? Thank you very much, your videos are helping me a lot!!

    • @190mex
      @190mex  6 лет назад +1

      Hello this method works but not long-term. For the long run, it is best to take the original potentiometer or a good aftermarket. In other words, using a ceramic carbon-based ceramic method for best performance, any Electrically conductive coating in sprey can be used. I'm glad to hear that my videos help.
