If you hear anyone laughing non-stop, it's just an online pen-pal in Moscow giving me a tongue twister in Russian on Zoom.
She's going to have her boyfriend try the same thing since he's getting a tooth yanked.
Kind of a dumb request for an Amish friends kid.
She is doing a report on the USSR in 1981 (the year Reagan became President).
She'd like to know what the average Soviet citizen thought about him.
Also what major changes took place in Russia in his 8 years in office.
Why did Willem Dafoe do this? I know that many people learn Russian, hence this channel. Has he a connection to Russia? Girlfriend/partner/ancestors? Great video by the way, the topic is brilliant, interesting and recent I think. Masha is fine, but she is not mine is my favourite. This saying might help with jealousy, I think that jealousy is a big problem for some people, that something isn't theirs doesn't matter to them, they will try to take it anyway. 😞
I read in the internet, that translating Russian proverbs is his hobby.
But if you jealous of smth, it means that you really want it and maybe it's time to make it your goal

You are correct about jealousy, to be fair everyone suffers from it to varying degrees. Making something a goal is the constructive way of dealing with this emotion.
It is an emotion that some people can't control though, I suppose people not being able to control their emotions is why we have jails!

1. Да, я согласна с Арнольдом, но не всегда получается. Поэтому в трудные моменты я всегда вспоминаю его слова и продолжаю идти в сторону своей цели
2. Не говори гоп пока не перепрыгнешь - моя любимая из этих трех
3. Я не припомню, но мне часто ее говорила мама "Не говори гоп пока не перепрыгнешь"
Когда я говорила ей о том, что у меня будет, когда цель выполнится.
4. Я не то, чтобы за или против, они все спорные. Первая про Машу говорит о том, что нужно радоваться тому, что есть, ну или стремиться к желаемой цели, вторая про друзей - выбор между дружбой или деньгами, раньше в советском союзе люди помогали друг другу одеждой, едой, еще чем-то, то есть денег было очень мало, поэтому вероятно эта поговорка была популярна.

Daria - Arnold Schwarzenegger is a german name - so it doesn't make sense to look for the english pronounciation - look for the german pronounciation instead
... and add an austrian accent to it 😉
But I speak English and don't know German. It's like when I talk about Russia (name of the country), I should say not Russia but Rossia (Россия)
