She is my favourit german singer her voice depth and feelings she transmits to th'ose who listen i first saw her in' HABANERA' she was hypnotising, beautiful ,sultry, mysteries; Its very late excuse spelling mishaps i'm nearly asleep . But delighted to have found the woderful zara leander at last
She worked in germany but she was swedish. Made some films in Sweden and then left for germany. People in Sweden thought she was nazi but probably she just wanted a european Carrier
Please post the German lyrics of this beautiful song! This song was written by famous lyricist Bruno Balz, who was persecuted - but not killed - by the Nazis, although he was a homosexual Jew.
Veuillez publier les paroles en allemand de cette belle chanson ! Cette chanson a été écrite par la célèbre parolier Bruno Balz, qui fut persécuté (mais non tué) par les Nazis, alors qu'il était un homosexuel juif.
My own links to it were deleted years ago. I made an English-subtitled version. I have the film somewhere on a disc. The problem is that the upload speeds here are so dire. If ever I upload it again, I'll let you know.
The translation is terrible, completely distorts the meaning in 2 lines and their repetition! It is actually far more explicit than this translation, nothing to do with "I listened to it all" or "I heard everything", but rather "you had everything from me this night".

I d know if it is true but they say she told Goebbles - " release my songwriter immediately, are you crazy?" And he did.
