It's crazy just how much Krampus has exploded in popularity these past few years! Personally, I adore the 2015 movie the most; it has such a delightfully creepy but still festive atmosphere.
I found the "evil toys and cookies" part of that movie more tired than funny, but the "Krampus" design is great. That scene where it's jumping from roof to roof…!
@@robertcastorena5064 the movie wasn't bad it was just not intended for a PG-13 rating But the plot isn't that bad it's mildly OK at best But the digsin is awesome and my definitive version of krampus
I personally loved the film of Krampus, it's exactly like Gremlins. Heck it used cartoon sound effects like the Gremlins films, I honestly don't understand why many hated it because of those reasons? 🤷♂️
Yup, been a crazy amount of Krampus films since 2015, I almost got tricked into watching one of them back in the day when I thought it was the 2015 film, but I guess I watched them all for this video now so I guess they won haha
I wonder what Krampus will look like in Marvel Comics. He'll probably be Huge, a little taller than Hulk, furry, has long horns, Bulky, maybe have the ability to take the form of a handsome man, and is probably a demon from Hell that used to be a servant of Mephisto, and would have a Rivalry with Santa Claus (who's a Mutant).
Guys you did a phenomenal job here! Not only are you capturing these great visual representations of krampus, but the visual cues you're doing is awesome! Fantastic job!
My favorite versions of Krampus are: -Krampus (2015) -The Aquabats (2013) -A Christmas Horror Story (2015) -Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell (2015) -Krampus Unleashed (2016)
I never knew Krampus has so many appearances and now thanks to your wonderful evolution, I’ve learned that he has and I’ll be trying those movies whenever I can. Perfect Christmas guy to use for your Christmas evolution! I would love to see John McClane next.
I'm pretty sure a majority of these movies are very low-budget and were made to cash in on the success of the 2015 movie. Though some of them might still be enjoyable.

I really enjoyed all these different versions of Krampus! And I loved how you even included the one that was in Robot Chicken and Hotel Transylvania the series and The Santa Clauses!
The Santa Clauses one caught me off guard in his appearance, I was watching the show a few nights ago and he showed up and I was like I need to add it to the video 😬 haha
Fun fact: It’s implied that Krampus from The Santa Clauses was once the infamous “Mad Santa”, and he was cursed to become a demon who scares naughty children and takes their toys.
Fun fact: In folklore Krampus actually works with Kris Kringle (Santa) and aren’t rivals. Kringle rewards the good children while Krampus punishes the bad ones.
The first time I saw krampus was with Scooby-Doo in what we can all admit is the best scooby doo series but when you watch him he is scary is hell like before you learn the truth he is terrifying
The creature in Rare Exports isn't actually Krampus, but Nuuttipukki. In Finnish tradiotion Nuuttipukki was this creature that when given boose and offerings would bring a good farming year. Nuuttipukki slowly became this Finnish pre-Santa, as an adult would come dressed as a semi-goat to ask if there were good chilren in the house. Unfortunately, these costumes were usually scary and frightened children, so more childfriendly Santa became the new Nuuttipukki. The premise of Rare Exports relies on a Finnish pun that causes the misunderstanding in the movie. Santa in Finland is called Joulupukki (lit. Christmas Goat, Pukki= goat), since the original Santa figure in Finnish culture was a goat. So the movies protagonist think the elves are Santas (aka Joulupukki), failing to realise that the term Christmas goat literally means a giant Christmas goat.
Krampus is literally terrifying in the creepypasta he puts the souls of bad children in toys after eating their bodies which try to kill the girl/main character who is then saved by Santa later in the story.
I'm still hoping for the Bots from MST3k... You can laugh but it turns out they actually have changed their design over the years... Especially if you compare them to the KTMA days... KTMA crow is my sleep paralysis demon...
(And then, me, kai, jay, zane, Cole, lloyd, nya popped out of the roof) Lloyd: why? Because you hated the teen titans? Me: I'm totally hated robin, he's a loco.
Here is another, in BRR's Skylanders vs Krampus christmas 2014 minisode, he has dark gray fur with gray highlights, humanoid hands and feet, small horns, red pants, and a christmas tree topped spear. he kidnaps the mini teams and steals the Skylander's christmas party and attempts to melt them in caramel, but his plan fails and he falls into caramel. he comes back in 2017's Revenge of the Holiday Assassination Team, where he is now brown with goldish highlights and is leading a team of holiday baddies to take command of the elements to conquer the holidays, but one of the members, Rhino In The Iron Armor, gets the skylanders to their base and locks them up for good
I almost didn't know it existed until two days before I posted this, I had done all my research for this before that episode came out, same thing with Disney+ The Santa Clauses Episode that released a couple of weeks ago, that's why I do a fake out ending and then those two at the end, a little behind-the-scenes info for you :)
As someone who lives in the country where Krampus came from, i am suprised how many versions the Media made of him. Some are more "accurate" to my suprise.

I appreciate this video compared to the others just for the sheer amount of "I have no idea what these movies(?) TV shows(?) TV movies(?) even are." I guess that's the result of a schlock-ready character with no copyright.
I have to agree with the majority, 2015 krampus was less like a punisher and more like a damn monster. Plus the movie’s freaky atmosphere sure as hell kept me on my toes while it played!
