especially with people like him. awesome stuff and knowledge
I'm 20 years old and I grew up listening to Dj Scratch on Wbls in Nyc. I have about 3 boxes of cassettes I recorded of Scratch on Saturday nights on Bls from 9 to 11 p.m. Everything from Maxel's, Tdk's, Sonies, it's a lot.
That would be cool to hear some of that shit
erock755 got to figure out how to convert them joints to MP3. Was just listening to one of those tapes earlier today.
@@jamieso7 Update. I’m currently in the process of converting those cassettes to my computer. I just posted one on my Mixcloud page.
That collection is mouthwatering
LL Cool J test pressing is the wow factor.
there hasnt been a new crate diggers in AGESSSSSSSSSSS
CRATE DIGGERS IS BACK!
My dude it takes time to track down old Dj’s, make sure that they even want to do it, travel to their house and edit the video. Not everyone lives in New York or LA...
Fuse We need a Buckwild and Ez Elpee crate diggers!!!!!
Perverted .Alchemist There are a good 5 to 10 interviews with Buck on RUclips.
Rip crate diggers smh
" No bootlegs son ! " salute Scratch
The best episode for me, strictly Hip Hop, really, some rares records,
unlimited knowledge and a humble DJ.
Big ups to DJ Scratch. I hadn't heard too much about him, but I loved this episode, he was great, and he had some amazing records in his collection. Fuse, please continue this series. I keep going back to this channel every week to check for new Crate Diggers episodes.
His collection is crazy
DJ Scratch is that dude! #respect
Because of this episode, it seems like everybody is diggin for test presses now!!
I like the fact that he dosen't brag about ultra rare and obscure music from all over the world just to impress..
Mostly Hip Hop and well known song in rare version.
*_Acetates! Acetates!! Acetates!!!_*

Which brings me to the great question which is well over do...
With all the top djs still doing their thing, where are the NEW episodes of Crate Diggers?
I hit the like button before I even watched this. One of my favorite producers. Great episode.
I died at the story of the tables falling and he still caught a beat.....would've loved to see that
Bounce while you skate was killing !!!

My favorite episode thus far, not only does scratch have some heat, he's engaging as well... you can tell he was just licking his chops waiting for his turn.
Oh and for everyone writing the dumb, gimme madlib, etc etc comments.. go away!
That acetate of off the wall is sick. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get some acetates.

It's Guys Like "Dj Scratch" That Inspire Me To Become A Better DJ
When I first seen this video, I was hoping and praying that he would show the sample that he used for Busta Rhymes “Party Is Goin On Over Here” and he didn’t smfh.
Great episode, genuine rarities unlike some in the series... and he plays them! Seen him with EPMD, great to see and still using vinyl... dope production too! Nice one Scratch
FInally a little turtablism demo on the Crate Diggers!, dope episode!
MADLIBBBB!!!!!!!!!!

Best episode for sure!!
Yea it was. He actually reveals a lot of gems. That's what a crate diggers episode should be. Just like dude said in the beginning.
Okey, JUST STOP WITH THAT RECOMMENDATIONS!
Fuse know how to do this episodes! This is A CLEAR EXAMPLE for this!
SCRATCH, YO THA MAN!!! Soooo priceless things!
Is Crate Diggers officialy over or will there be more???
Cool, likeable guy. One of the first 45s I bought was We Don’t Work For Free. I looked at the guys on the cover (Melle Mel) and said “this is hip hop?!”
FINALLY - DJ SCRATCH = G.O.AT.
Nope.. he is not, but he's pretty good though.
DJ Scratch you’re legendary
Legend.
Oone of the best episodes PERIOD!
Scratch the GURU! Deadass, him and Jazzy Jeff are my fav DJs ever. Just iLL
This shit gets me hyped.
Dj Scratch is gosh dang ill for his pullouts in this digg. That MJ dubplate is bananas
I "liked"this video before I watched it
Damn Scratch... You are my kind of record digger. Geez... ... ...I could see the little school boy glee in your grin when you were showing off your record collection. That is classic. Still having that kind of enthusiasm about your art is a beautiful thing. Good job on calling out LL trying to play with you. "Come on Scratch it means more to me man..." Well LL... Go find it then. LoL
That was really cool of him to say that he would give LL's record to him instead of selling it to him. I was amazed at all the Micheal Jackson and the Jackson's he has.
He seems like a cool dude.
You need to compile all these and release a dvd....
2021 agrees.
CLASSIC 101!!!! #NEEDMORE
this guy's great.
Since it's the only credit to the Fuse Channel, why hasn't there been a new episode for the last 3 months?
Great collection and dope story!! #DJSalute
Easy the best series on the youtubes ... cant get enough of these ... nice work fuse .. keep em coming !!!!
His last words are epic !
Scratch is the GOAT ,my fav producer all time
Hi dj scratch a couple of things the scratch patterns that you displayed on so what your saying , it took me over an hour to perfect it in 2007 hope you dont mind me copying but that is one of the wickedest scratch's to go down in history also nuff respect from the hip hop community for giving ll that record that also shows that your full of skills as a dj an full of grace as an individual and last i looked up that record ESG's ufo and i added that song to my playlist and it so happened that one of their other songs moody which ive been looking for 4 a long time showed up so i just wanna say thanks , and thanks for the insperation comming from dj's like yourself , premier dj spin bad from NY
"I was a fan before I became The Man."
@Mendle44, Thanks for giving us the Update on this Series, Peace
I remember spending hrs Digging in Crate found some real jems... Like my X's Aunt was in a Doo-wop Group and did background vocal for the Rascals
Love this cat, keep on rockin Scratch salute!!!
I'm glad to see no laptops being used in this amazing interview.
New Jack DJ's take notice.
Keep this series going!!!!
did I get this right, he has bought I need a beat regularly in a record store in '85, but is now going to send it to LL? I'm not so shure that it has more sentimental value to LL than to him. It's hard ...
this is definitely one of the best episodes so far, even maybe better than the jdilla one.
dj scratch is fucking up the vinyl game with his collection hahah his killin it!
it's all about the passion. you don't see guys talking about traktor and cdj's with that same kind of twinkle in their eyes as the vinyl cats do
100%
Very dope vinyl selection. I'm searching for the colored MJ vinyls now!
Where the hell is the new episode? Cant live without this! You guys should come to europe too!
Please give us Q-TIP!
His collection caught fire in the 90s unfortunately. But I bet he's built it up again since.
I found two test pressing while diggin at flea markets and found Mantronix "Needle to the Groove" test pressing and white label promo and Super lover Cee Casanova Rud "I gotta Good thing" white label promo. Thought of this episode at that moment
