I am a big time art and craft person I have been making little things off and on for years. Me, mama, and daddy lived together and we were all disabled but I helped them do things they couldn't do and be lived with them and spent so time with them we were very close. They died just 4 days apart and I started getting very depressed and I decided to start doing some kind of art and craft things and that was when everything changed for me. Now I make memory/ jewelry/ gift boxes, little gift boxes that anyone could get to maybe put some kind of jewelry in but the whole reason I started making them for my grandbabies and my nieces and nephews to do able to give them to their classmates and friends. I bought a few different kinds of candy in them and everything I make is a one of kind and very different than anything i have ever seen but I have been wanting some glass glitter to put on one of my boxes and see how it looks and everything and if I like it then I will see about getting more to work with. From everything I seen i think it would turn out beautifully

    Beautiful painting Wendy!
I was thinking about use of resin during winter, ( I too live in a cold climate state , Alaska)
I understand your concern with ventilation as a lot of resins have harmful VOCs. I have found Art Resin brand of resin is a great option as it doesn’t have any harmful fumes and is almost scentless too!😊

Oh my gosh, you are a phenomenal teacher doing it step by step and also explaining your technique and products.. for so long I've been wanting to take the time just to learn how to do this. This piece is stunning and so gorgeous!! I do have one question regarding if I wanted to have some holographic coloring what I do it with the sparkles? As I did see one on Etsy and when the light shined on it it was almost holographic colors. You are doing an impeccable course in training thank you immensely, as your work is stunning and I've been getting supplies myself although I need to learn about using modge podge okay second question. Would you use modge podge opposed liquid class as I have never even used it myself? Yours came out so beautiful I'm just thinking the liquid glass but I would like to know how to use the resin. I hope you do another one soon. Thank you truly it was beautiful and like I said your info showing us thank you for your time too! LOVE! ❤️

Such a good teacher,People always say to me "You seem very artistic " etc etc...
Truth is I created one piece of art aged 9 ,it was of stalagmites and stalagtites inside a cave, I think I used wax crayons ? Anyway it was commended and the head Teacher Loved it and hung it outside his office...
Thing is he wanted MORE...,He wanted all kinds of things and would hover abive me...thing is the man was an absolute brute,he used to beat my best friend (who didn't have a mum) ,on her bum cheeks and the top of her thighs with a plimsole !! He would roll his sleeves up and lay in2 her, FOR talking a little whisper to ME !!
Of course I could not paint another pic, worse still I think he pretty much killed any artistic notion within me, buried it..!
but we have to get over these things...Maybe just listening and watching you It may just awaken in me...
Like a therapy, slow and steady..Thankyou xx

I recently used white latex caulk on a black canvas and the result was a mid-century modern looking art piece. Fun!

I love this, cant wait to try it. You should add links to your supplies. Not only does it make finding them easier, you will make commission off of them :)

I also want to add I love how you explain everything you do and show your tools. The way you did this piece is unlike any other way I’ve seen people do this kind of art and I’ve learned a lot from your video! The push pins under the board so you can paint the edges and how you put dollops of paint down first so they blend perfectly when you start painting is such a good idea!! So glad I found your channel!! Such great ideas!

One way to make more of your color. Is to measure how much you it in of each color and brand ( each brand is different). Keep a record book and you can always remake the the color later.

This is the first video of yours I’ve watched. You clearly know what you’re doing. How long have you been creating these lovely pieces of art? Or should I ask how many of these have you created? I agree with the others comments, great color combination. This piece came out beautifully. Excellent job.

Thank you so much, Jeanine! I’ve been doing these for about a year now - give or take. I paint a lot of furniture so took some applications from that and moved them over to canvases - who knew LOL

This was really a very done video. Bling art is definitely on my radar to try. One question: Do you add any type of top coat to seal it or not? Thank you!! Love the finished piece!

    • @wendydevereaux
      @wendydevereaux  3 года назад +5

Thanks Sheryl!! I only used the Mod Podge gloss to seal and shine up the paint before I added the bling 😉
