it took a couple listens to realize how many layers there are in this song, so much effort went into this and it really shows, keep it up
I remember the first time I found this. I was reading a fantastic fanfic, University Days I believe. This song has been with me ever since.
This song brings up so many feels... I haven't finished University Days yet, but it has quickly become my favorite fanfic I have read so far. This song is incredible and I hope to see nothing but more perfection from you!
Let me explain the visual context behind the song title. The song is primarily focused around Vinyl, definitely moreso than Octavia. The concept branches out to having something hidden beneath the surface, a fact or notion about you that's not open for all to see, clouded over. The violet clouds represent a common trope in any fanfiction depicting Vinyl, where she will often hide her eyes behind her glasses, which are a bright violet colour. You can probably join the dots from here

This is absolutely amazin and I adore the fact that you got inspiration for this from University Days.
Dude, this is the first drumstep Lav has made. He expected something non-drumstep, because Lav hasn't made that before. Seing this in his Sub-box he though it would be something to his liking, and despite the fact that he uses some harsh words, and concludes a bit wildly, there's actually something in what he says.
You're welcome. If you want a little context to where you gave inspirations, the parts involving Octavia's first jaunt to the world of clubs mixed in with my own experience at BronyCon with everyone performing sort of amalgamated into the other key component to the inspiration of this remix.

Heh well as implied by the title it's all about what lies beneath, that hidden aspect. It has so many meanings for me really, including the fact I actually make this sort of music, when most know me for my orchestral work..

I liked University Days but I've not read Changes, but with your approval of it I think I will give it a read. It must be good if it helped inspire a wonderful piece like this.

I can't really remember it as him saying "You've run out of ideas", but let's leave it at that. And I wouldn't say that him insulting you changes the fact that the major porportion of the brony music is dubstep/drumstep/similar genres, which was the "something in what he says" I was refering to.

I absolutely love this track man. It's slick and dirty sounds soooo good. Addictive leads and head bangin' bass. Totally a vynle worthy track. Plus the pic, it's so sexy. Not that I'm into ponies that way, it's just the only word I can think of that woks. All in all 10 out of 10 easy.

The moment I clicked on this video I started to read the description but somehow skipped over "DRUMSTEP?!". As I read the excerpt from the fanfic that you posted I came to expect a nice classical piece, complete with soothing orchestral sounds. Then 0:47 happened. And it was incredible. I get the title perfectly 'Ruby Skies' Vinyls eyes against her skylike blue and white colours, the 'Violet Clouds' showing octavias eyes against her colours :) anyway Love the inspiration, Amazing fanfic, I expected more violin/Cello though. Still an awesome piece though.

I think the point here is kinda me at 1000 subs at Omni at near 18000. I put a lot of effort into not only the composition but the overall mix, sound design as mentioned, and lots of elements people probably don't notice. I'm a silly little perfectionist, which is why I take so long between my track releases! >.
