Loved this show; think I need to watch it again someday. Good version of this song although I connect it with my all-time favorite series "Justified" more.
Yeah, I don’t recall this song being in Hell on Wheels though. Justified was a good series with a good setting. It was only a state line away from being in the great inbreeding state of West Virginia and then the whole series would’ve been ruined.
I guess I'll finally have to watch it, hopefully not disappointing. Know a little too much about the real Hell on Wheels with my Julesburg #3 background.
i keep wanting him to revert to Cullen B.... when they showed the first scene in episode one, (star trek), he's full on beard and riding a horse across his land and i thought 'yes!'. Bohannen is by far one of my favorite characters of all time, even if i may spell his name wrong at times.....
I want so badly to see a reunion scene in China..... I love Mei/Fong and the way it ended.....but wouldn't it be great to see what happened to them down the line? Except i want them to live happily ever after, they deserve it, so how about a movie with a reunion, a few obstacles, and then on they go like the narrator told us about Wyatt and Josie at the end of Tombstone, even though Josie's whole life as she told it was pretty much fiction....i want the fiction. I want to see Cullen and Mei and I miss Fergus... and Eva....riding off into the sunset what an effing fabulous character she was, much more interesting than what we know of Olive Oatman. I even miss Swede, altho you can see Heyerdahl in just about everything made in Canada....one of the best shows ever produced with such excellent characters both drawn and portrayed... sorry about all the '...'
Not to give Hollywood any ideas on tv shows... but it would be a cool spin-off to do a connect the dots type show in how Raylan Givens (of Justified) could tie into Hell on Wheels and Anson Mount's character. (Similar to how Yellowstone is getting its "explainer" series spin-offs from Taylor Sheridan.) Not a prequel/origin and not a sequel (obviously)... a mid-quel? 🙃
@@Пата-р6ч I know I’m about a year late, but being American & loving this show, I was just curious if you got to watch it & if so, what did you think of it?
Aww, c’mon, this is the wrong music to play behind this TV show and this actor. The music for Hell on Wheels was original and very evocative for this period piece. Bad call.
This version of the song is crap. Trying to remake a classic song in modern ways. Check Patty Loveless‘ version. Way better and much more emotions in it
So many people confuse emotion with nostalgia, & I don’t mean the people who like this version of the song! This version is anything but trying to make it modern! You must’ve missed the amazing mandolin & banjo playing & that haunting thing with her voice is closer to good old bluegrass mountain music than Patty Loveless! Not saying Patty isn’t good, she’s amazing, but this version is the furthest thing from the picture you painted! This lady’s voice in this song is more in the style of Bill Monroe & has those same haunting tones! Just be honest & say you don’t like it because you don’t really know music all that well & are against anything that challenges your own beliefs & opinions. Your opinions of “more emotion” & “making it modern” tells a lot. Just being honest.
I miss Hell on Wheels
shirley mcdaniels and justified
I liked it until they killed her. Then it went down hill.

Hell on Wheels: Best Traditional Western.
Justified: Best Moden-Day Western.
Wow, never thought of it like that. I would agree. Hell on wheels. Great historical Western. Justified is a great contemporary western.

By far the best television show ever...spot on!!!
agree!
Best western show ever!
Great one, but better than Deadwood!?! I think not.
"Father we did horrible things during the War ."
"Ever visited a town in Mississippi called Meridian?"
This is by far the best version. Ruby makes it down an earthy!
Not better then the version on "Justified" sorry dude.
@@Nordraw they also use this version on justified
From being Bohannon in Hell on Wheels, to Captain Pike commanding the Starship Enterprise. Anson does both equally well.
Nukerat, "WOW" how great is this version Love it mate
Best series . Handsome Bohannan ❤️greeting from Norway . I shuld like to meet him .
Beautifully done! I miss hell on wheels.

Miss this show so much.
I looked up the original song... and I thank you for cutting out her cringe. Awesome Video my friend 🍻
Damn good series. Need the continuation

The Swede was one of the best portrayed villains ever
Love that Anson Mount is now Capt. Pike on Star Trek!

Perfect michael Miller special thanks to all
Harlan Kentucky, now I'm all "where's Raylon Givens? is this the right show for this song?"....
This is song is part of Justified soundtrack as I recall. Hell on Wheels theme was different as I remember.
ruclips.net/video/7fzFctvy6-8/видео.html. I think this is the official Hell on Wheels theme song.
The Justified theme song that opened the show was Long Hard Times to Come by Gangstagrass.
That mountain scene is NOT eastern KY, it’s the Western Rockies!
: Excellente série !...😀
I haven't once this but it looks like a good flick
Bro this is bad assed lol
