"The Eye" is a reference to the eye of a storm and one theory is that "The Eye" storyline is connected to the story in their "Back" MV. Some think that in "The Eye" L is the only member who has survived the fight which you see happening in "Back" and it's about him battling the guilt and sorrow of being the only one alive. The other members are thought to be spirits or ghosts who are trying to prevent L from succumbing to his pain of being alone and they want to keep him alive. So you see them fighting with him to stop him from giving up and "going into the light," etc That is one thing about Infinite's MVs, they often are open ended and most of the time the end on a cliffhanger. Also, L is most often the lead in their story-based MVs because he is the actor of the group and he is one of the top Idol actors who has been in numerous K-dramas and movies. He is really good at showing emotion and really throwing himself into every role he plays to make you believe his every emotion is exactly how he really feels and everything that happens to him is real. That's why this MV is so believable. He is one of my favorite K-drama actors. L's personality on and off screen is very unique. He is very quiet, cute and shy -- he is one of those silent brooding types that you never know what he is thinking because he often keeps to himself, but he is also extremely manly and tough and you can tell that he would protect the people that matter to him with his life. Infinite debuted in 2010, 2 years after SHINee. They are originally a 7 member group but, Hoya, their main dancer (one of the best dancers in the industry), lead rapper and vocalist, left the group about 3 years ago; and L left the company last year, but he has alluded to the fact that he is still a member of the group, however we have not see him in any of the group's recent activities. SHINee and Infinite are the groups that started the trend of sharp synchronized choreography. Infinite is known for their sharp, knife-like synchronization. It wasn't until groups like SHINee and Infinite came along that people really started to up their game and pay attention to detail when it came to choreography. All the amazing dancers and dances of Kpop groups today, owe their impressive dance moves to groups like Infinite and SHINee. It was these groups that started it all and convinced people that if they wanted to compete for a top spot in the industry they really needed to put the time and effort into making their dances look flawless with a high degree of complexity and skill. Infinite is also known for their unique sound and style and how most of their songs include classical string instruments as part of their sound. It is said that you can tell it's an Infinite song just by the sound and style of the song within the first few seconds because Infinite songs are different than all other Kpop songs. @@tunamayhoe Yeah I couldn't remember what the show was just remember them visiting Sungyeol's home and yes I was so happy when Daeyeol finally debuted!
Ahh yes infinite!!! They aren’t as popular now because they are a bit of a older group but definitely have a loyal fanbase. I watched the dream concert from 2015 on Netflix today and boy the way the crowd freaked out when they went on was amazing
Infinite is my very first ultimate group!! The 'lead vocal' you're asking is actually the main vocal named Nam Woohyun. The one who's crying is L (Kim Myungsoo) and the feminine one is SungJong ❤
Sunggyu is actually my ult vocalist. There’s just SOMETHING about his voice that is so incredibly appealing to me. Any song with his voice in it automatically is a hit with me lol. It’s very rare for me to love EVERY single song on a full length album, but I still listen to every single song from his solo album very very often. I’m obsessed with his voice, it’s the greatest in Kpop in my opinion
THANK YOU for not only reacting to "popular" groups , really ,thats why i loved your channel !! You really do your research and not only care about views, i really really thank you so much!
@@misoona4688 you misunderstood this comment , when i meant """""popular"""" i mean he doesn't only react to nowadays popular groups or 4th gen. I love Infinite so please don't ever think i meant to say they not well known in general
Myungsoo's acting getting recognition: Me: *sobbing* tHAT'S MY B O Y Even tho Myungsoo and hoya aren't with woollim anymore infinite is forever💕💕 And it's been so amazing to see him develop as an actor :')
i clicked so quickly seeing that u were reacting to infinite. kings of synchronization! if u have time please check out their other songs! i personally liked the choreography to Back the most~ one fun fact is that the member that u were talking about with the nice falsetto is the main rapper- dongwoo, he's a triple threat. boy can sing, dance, and rap. u should definitely check out other 2nd generation boy groups as well! like b2st/highlight, 2pm, shinee if u have time!
Infinite- King of synchronization - King of Singing live - King of Variety Show You need to react more about them and of course dance practice also live performances. Because they're singing live while dancing hard choreography.
OMG YOU DON'T KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM WHEN I GOT THE NOTIF YOU REACTING TO INFINITE!!! Because they're my ult group in Kpop! Yeah, for those who new to Infinite, all the members can sing, even their rapper. Actually Hoya and Dongwoo (the one in cream-colored jacket in dance practice video) is the main rapper tho, but as you can see, this song has no rap part. And that one guy that good at acting is L or Kim Myungsoo. He's an actor too. Infinite has many members who's also an actor/musical actor, like Hoya, Sungyeol, and Woohyun. Their main vocal is Sunggyu (who sing the reff part and emphasize the 'i' vocal) and Woohyun (the one who you said has a certain heartache in his voice). And as an Inspirit (Infinite's fan), I recommend you to check their other title song like The Chaser, Destiny, Bad, Back, or Last Romeo (those are my fav). And watch their live performances because its sooooo satisfying. Actually all Woollim artists known as CD-eater XD Okay, sorry if my comment is too long. I'm just feel so excited! XD
Thank you so much for reacting to them !!!! A bit of context here. Back then, synchronisation was not that common, now a days it's almost a given to be perfectly in synch. they were one of the first to be known for their synchronisation. You actually picked the one song that is more focused on the imagery and flow of the song than the synchronisation. I hope you will continue to react to their songs! there are really good ones out there ^^
Hi Jeff, can you also do Infinite - Be Mine, The Chaser TVXQ - Mirotic, Keep Your Head Down *Dhshjsksjs* i am a lot more recommendations but this is it for tuh-day
Thank you so much for reacting to Infinite's song! 2nd gen Kpop groups don't get nearly as much attention and love as they deserve nowadays, and since Infinite is currently inactive as a group (due to Korea's mandatory military service), it's nice to see people mentioning them and appreciating their work every now and then. I would love to see you react to The Chaser (it's their most famous song), Be Mine, Back, Before The Dawn, and Tell Me. :) I'm also an Astro fan and have been so happy to see your reactions to their songs and choreography as well! Infinite and Astro are definitely underrated Kpop groups and they deserve so much more recognition for their talents and work!
OMG FINALLYYYY pls also react to their other stuff like Before The Dawn, Last Romeo, The Chaser, Bad, Be Mine pretty much their whole discography lol bc they are THAT amazing
There may be groups more synchronised nowadays, but Infinite will always hold the first title. They perfected synchronisation in kpop. They were the industry standard, the ones other groups were inspired by. Kings. 👑
The one who you kept praising for his incredible acting skills - its L (Myungsoo) and I think that he was supposed to be like the antagonist of the MV since all other members kept being with him in scenes
Infinite might not be as synchronized as for example Seventeen, but for the 2nd gen groups synchronization wasn't top priority (like it is now), so Infinite really stood out and set an example for the next generation ❤️ I think people really started to notice their unbelievable (especially at that time) synchronization, when they did the "scorpion dance" during the song "Before The Dawn (BTD) ", because then people were like "how can they do THAT in sync?!". That move was Hoya's idea, and after that many kpop groups started doing that to impress the audience. But let's not forget of the original 😁 I'm sure you've already seen that move somewhere, without even knowing that it's called "Infinite's move" by other kpop artists 😊 Just type "Infinite scorpion dance" to youtube to see what I'm talking about hah
They are actually the most synchronised group but decided later on to not put too much thought into it as they wanted their dance style to come through and distinguish each other. I still think it's unbelievable as a group with members of different heights are able to do the same move EXACTLY at the same time. They were easily competing with Shinee over best performance group when they got famous. Seventeen is a natural successor and very nice to see a group carry on the legacy.
The BTD dance practice video is hands down the most synchronized dance practice I've seen to this day. It doesn't matter where you pause it. It is just... Too much to handle. So amazing.
Yes infinite was like one of the idol grp with best dance sync in 2nd gen.. really missin' 2nd gen kpop times and yes scorpion dance is da boom that time
@@nelcymiraflor4567 obviously, that's why I said "they stood out and set an example for the next generation". But anyone can see in the dance practices, that in comparison with groups like Seventeen, TXT or VERIVERY, Infinite are not as sharp. That doesn't mean they are not synchronized, or that they are worse than all of the new groups, but some of their juniors are just almost robotic-like synchronized (that's a compliment), which is not Infinite style and that's perfectly okay. If someone is used to watching Seventeen dance practices and expects to see the same thing with Infinite, that will not happen. They have two different styles and executions, but both are "synchronization kings" in their generations.
Coming back to this vid after 3 years with a new account lol. Just wanted to say INFINITE has recently made a comeback with a song New Emotions. It is relatively different to their previous music but you can hear how their voices have matured to make more beautiful music. I hope you check it out.
I said it in a reply to another comment but Infinite, even thought they are recognised as being extremely synchronised and setting another standard in what a kpop group should be, they reached a point where they wanted their dance styles to shine and drifted a bit apart from the 99.9% synch. I never realised they were down so much in The Eye but it really looks a lot like something 2nd gen groups do a lot and even the camera work, the poses and gestures are very different from now. You should definitely check out their entire discography because they evolved quite a lot while still having their unique sound. The Chaser is easily one of the most unique songs in the entire kpop and still recognised as one by international music media. I had to go back and listen to all of their title tracks and damn, so GOOD.
Infinite were one of the first Kpop groups to really establish tight, clean synchronization that many kpop groups have today and set a new standard for kpop groups in 2nd generation In the MV you said that guys had great acting. That member is L or Myungsoo he is actually a really well established actor in recent years. He appears in many dramas.
MOST OF THEM ARE ACTORS HAHAHA BY THE WAY MYUNGSOO THE ONE YOU SAID IN GOOD IN CRYING IN ONE EYE HE'S ONE OF THE HIGHEST PAID ACTOR IN KOREA RIGHT NOW 💜
Among all the the 2nd generation KPop groups, INFINITE is one of the populars. Their name was listed on Billboard, one of their songs was also on Billboard and defeated Psy's song and dubbed as "South Korea's National Anthem" that time. During their reign, they were praised by other groups such as Block B, SNSD, Teen Top, etc. Their dances were also called as the "army dance" because their synchronization is unbelievable. Many artists and groups during the 2nd gen wanted to perform together with Infinite. Those were the glory days of KPop. INFINITE has many more achievements than one can imagine. Naming it in here would be too hard since it's too many. Right now, Infinite is inactive due to members military services, but their still on the game. Inspite of being inactive, their brand rankings are still ranked high.
Thank you so much for reading and responding to my requests! Infinite are criminally underrated internationally and deserve so much more praise. I knew you would like the dance breaks which is why I recommended you react to The Eye first. Next up The Chaser Bad Last Romeo
One of the things that made Infinite stand out and arguably they still stand out for it now even though 2 members have left and they haven't been active in a solid minute is the fact that Dongwoo and Hoya were not only the main rappers and lead dancers, they're both also very strong vocalists and have served as main vocals along side Woohyun and Sunggyu for a number of songs. Dongwoo even sung Sunggyu's song for a solo during one of their concerts. Just as Infinite is one of KPOP's underdog groups, Dongwoo is one of the group's underdog members imo. He just doesn't get the recognition he deserves for being an amazing dancer on top of a strong rapper and singer.
Infinite is unique group🥰, they are not like anyone else, they have amazing vocals and synchronization in dance🥰! And a lot of cool songs🥰! I'm glad you watched them, though I really didn't expect this song to be!
to those who are saying they are not popular now come and check the brand reputation ranking they are one of those 2nd gen group that was still on top. it doesn't mean no one is talking them that much means they are fading, take note too about most of them are in army duties.

I FORGOT TO ADD SONG RECOMMENDATION KFJSKFK since you said that their vocals appear more than their dance, i'd like to recommend you Bad or Tell Me, since those have highnotes meanwhile this one doesn't

I'm so glad you've started checking older generation groups! The one with the voice you liked the most is Woohyun, I think the cry he has resembles the way Donghun sings! Also you didn't hear rapping because their rapper was singing... Maybe the most impressive thing about Infinite is that no matter the type of song they've put out, the vocals are always STRONG and they move really well as a unit!
Should check out their song 'The Chaser' better example of their synchronization. Also while you're checking out older groups try Teen Top - Rocking, UKISS - Neverland. 2nd gen groups really set the bar and paved the way for kpop styles today

I miss Hoya especially in this era (which unfortunately was his last) he definitely stood out in The Eye. infinite was the first kpop group that captured my heart back in 2011! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE CHASER! definitely their best song and one of the greatest kpop songs of all time! but some history on infinite: they filmed their debut mv in the backyard of their ceo’s house! they come from a more smaller company and epik high’s tablo and mithra were mentors for infinite! the company wasn’t able to fund infinite for too long so disbandment was a soon to be option BUT they took home their first music show win in 2011 with “be mine” and their popularity surged after that! they’re an amazing group and i can’t wait to see you react to more of their content!

Yes Daeyeol is Sungyeol's little brother and has grown so much since we first saw him on an infinite variety show!
yeeess Daeyeol is Sungyeol's little brother, the one in INFINITE is Sungyeol and the one in Golden Child is Daeyeol!
@@danielahawkins6905 YES I believe it was Sesame Player? I was shocked knowing his brother was debuting
@@tunamayhoe Yeah I couldn't remember what the show was just remember them visiting Sungyeol's home and yes I was so happy when Daeyeol finally debuted!
This is the very first K-pop group I first got to know, they showed me what a K-pop group should be.
Mee too
My first group
My first love
My first impression
First group to take first place in my heart 💛💛💛💛💛💛
Infinite is just the best. Underrated kings
great acting cause he is actually acting rn. kim myung soo
Ahh yes infinite!!! They aren’t as popular now because they are a bit of a older group but definitely have a loyal fanbase. I watched the dream concert from 2015 on Netflix today and boy the way the crowd freaked out when they went on was amazing
There is a Dream Concert in Netflix??? That is news to me thanks hahaha
Exactly.. they made that into their concert🤩🤩
It's not because they're an older group but because they're doing military service right now actually
loyal fan i agree..i'm inspirit since 2012
Infinite is my very first ultimate group!!
Well they are popular group from 2nd generation :)
@@misoona4688 you misunderstood this comment , when i meant """""popular"""" i mean he doesn't only react to nowadays popular groups or 4th gen. I love Infinite so please don't ever think i meant to say they not well known in general
@@misoona4688 Chill out. I swear y'all be sensitive for no reason.
Myungsoo's acting getting recognition:
Me: *sobbing* tHAT'S MY B O Y
Even tho Myungsoo and hoya aren't with woollim anymore infinite is forever💕💕 And it's been so amazing to see him develop as an actor :')
I recommend you to watch all of their dance practice because they have a great choreo and the synchronized
Yes and you can see the practice rooms upgraded from time to time
i clicked so quickly seeing that u were reacting to infinite. kings of synchronization! if u have time please check out their other songs! i personally liked the choreography to Back the most~ one fun fact is that the member that u were talking about with the nice falsetto is the main rapper- dongwoo, he's a triple threat. boy can sing, dance, and rap. u should definitely check out other 2nd generation boy groups as well! like b2st/highlight, 2pm, shinee if u have time!
Damn, rappers can sing like that???
@@JeffAvenue I guess it's a Woollim thing..😆 all rappers are also incredible singers..💯🎤
@@JeffAvenue Yes. He is Main Rapper. Everyone in Infinite can sing. Sometime the rappers also have sing part in song.
@JeffAvenue fun fact, both Dongwoo & Hoya learnt how to rap from Epik High when they joined infinite XD
hoya is the main dancer but dont forget how so fluid dongwoo and woohyun dance
omg! i can’t believe you’re reacting to infinite! i genuinely think they’re the best when it comes to synchronised dancing in 2nd gen boy groups.
Infinite- King of synchronization
- King of Singing live
- King of Variety Show
You need to react more about them and of course dance practice also live performances.
Actually all Woollim artists known as CD-eater XD
Okay, sorry if my comment is too long. I'm just feel so excited! XD
I’m screaming because I got noti you’re finally reacting to my INFINITE !!!! AAAAA
I hope you will continue to react to their songs! there are really good ones out there ^^
FYI These guys are form the same agency Golden Child. One of the members(Sungyeol) is actually brothers with the leader of Golcha!
Hi Jeff, can you also do
Infinite - Be Mine, The Chaser
TVXQ - Mirotic, Keep Your Head Down
*Dhshjsksjs* i am a lot more recommendations but this is it for tuh-day
TVXQ!!!
And infinite - before the dawn too !
instead of Keep Your Head Down, i think Catch Me / Something should be checked out too oof
The chaser and destiny !!

Me right now realizing these videos were uploaded back-to-back.
Q: what’s the hardest thing for you as a singer?
Sunggyu: It’s hard for me to do lip sync. 😂
OMG FINALLYYYY
pls also react to their other stuff like
Before The Dawn, Last Romeo, The Chaser, Bad, Be Mine
pretty much their whole discography lol bc they are THAT amazing
There may be groups more synchronised nowadays, but Infinite will always hold the first title. They perfected synchronisation in kpop. They were the industry standard, the ones other groups were inspired by. Kings. 👑
The one who you kept praising for his incredible acting skills - its L (Myungsoo) and I think that he was supposed to be like the antagonist of the MV since all other members kept being with him in scenes
Oh my goshhh yes old groups! If you liked this i recommend infinites bad and if you want another old group I recommend B.A.P's Warrior and one shot
YES BAP!!
Remember what a vibe the dance intro to 1004 (Angel) was
@@heysoph.9 zelo and jongup duo🤩
I really wanted him to react BAP too so I'm happy someone recommended it
Omg yessssss
Infinite might not be as synchronized as for example Seventeen, but for the 2nd gen groups synchronization wasn't top priority (like it is now), so Infinite really stood out and set an example for the next generation ❤️
I think people really started to notice their unbelievable (especially at that time) synchronization, when they did the "scorpion dance" during the song "Before The Dawn (BTD) ", because then people were like "how can they do THAT in sync?!".
That move was Hoya's idea, and after that many kpop groups started doing that to impress the audience. But let's not forget of the original 😁
I'm sure you've already seen that move somewhere, without even knowing that it's called "Infinite's move" by other kpop artists 😊 Just type "Infinite scorpion dance" to youtube to see what I'm talking about hah
So amazing.
Yes infinite was like one of the idol grp with best dance sync in 2nd gen.. really missin' 2nd gen kpop times and yes scorpion dance is da boom that time
Wdym? Infinite invented synchronization. They are the main reason why other groups are trying their best to be in sync.
There definitely are many actors in this group
AHHHH FINALLY JEFF REACTION TO INFINITE!!! Thank you Jeff! INFINITE is my old group....
Thank you for reacting to infinite. I hope they'll come back again
Infinite were one of the first Kpop groups to really establish tight, clean synchronization that many kpop groups have today and set a new standard for kpop groups in 2nd generation
In the MV you said that guys had great acting. That member is L or Myungsoo he is actually a really well established actor in recent years. He appears in many dramas.
MOST OF THEM ARE ACTORS HAHAHA BY THE WAY MYUNGSOO THE ONE YOU SAID IN GOOD IN CRYING IN ONE EYE HE'S ONE OF THE HIGHEST PAID ACTOR IN KOREA RIGHT NOW 💜
Its midnight but I saw infinite and couldn't wait till morning to watch! Love their music and been a fan for years so glad you checked them out!
omg you should check out other infinite dances/songs they slap all their songs were very popular in korea!!
The actor in this MV is one of member “L” or Kim myung soo who is the main actor in Korean drama now! I proud of him ㅠㅠ
Infinite is the best!!! Second Gen amazing-ness
Thank you so much for reading and responding to my requests! Infinite are criminally underrated internationally and deserve so much more praise. I knew you would like the dance breaks which is why I recommended you react to The Eye first.
Next up
The Chaser
Bad
Last Romeo
I agree! Dongwoo's voice is amazing ^^ btw only 1 member (hoya) has left the group :D
JEEEEEFFFFF OMGOMGOMG I WAS SO SHOCKED AND EXCITED I PRACTICALLY ROLL OFF MY BED LJSKFJSK THANK YOU SO MUUUCCHHHH I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS OMG ILYILYILY😭💞💞💞💞💞
edit : the lead vocal that sings the chorus is Sunggyu! he and Woohyun (the main vocal) have acted in pretty lots of drama musicals too. meanwhile the main actor of the MV is L, he's also an actor that's why his acting is really good.
as for the meaning of the MV, actually i remember there is a theory about it but it was released a pretty long time ago that i can't quite remember it😭 what i remember is that the other members are trying to save L from his death, because if i wasn't mistaken, the theory said that probably all of the other members are dead already and L was left behind so he tried to suicide and 'join' them. they managed to save L, which represented by Sunggyu turning on the lamp at the end of the MV and L waking up abruptly.
I FORGOT TO ADD SONG RECOMMENDATION KFJSKFK since you said that their vocals appear more than their dance, i'd like to recommend you Bad or Tell Me, since those have highnotes meanwhile this one doesn't
This is the first time i heard about this, omg i've always confused and don't get what the meaning of the mv, omg thankyou sooo much, after 4 years j can sleep in peace now 😂😂😂
Sory for my broken english
Ohh that’s a pretty deep meaning! But like the lyrics are different I feel like 😂😂
@@ullimme7480 nooo that's okay, i don't quite remember it too, i feel like i'm missing some pieces as well kfjskjd
@@JeffAvenue yepp it told about a breakup but somehow i feel like it could also tell about their death?? i mean a breakup because they're dead already, not so sure about it too though😔
They are the legendary group for me to be honest, their music and their vocal are god tier level, their performances are chef kiss. No group could’ve been more perfect. Not a single bad song in their discography.
JEEEEFFFFFFFFFFFF FINALLY YOU ARE REACTING TO INFINITE. I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE ㅠㅠ
Btw yes the are from the 2nd gen of kpop, they are know for 1 of the group with full packaged members amazing vocals-dances-personalities-variety shows talents.
The one with high pitched voice is their maknae, Sungjong. The one who responsible infinite's girlgroup dance cover (I recomend you to watch their ggs dance cover compilation cuz ITS AS SYNCRONIZED AS THEIR OWN SONGS)
Please do some serial reaction to their songs since their debut ( Comeback Again, She's Back, BTD, Nothing's Over, Be Mine, Paradise, The Chaser, Man In Love, Destiny, Last Romeo, Back, Bad, Tell Me). The Chaser known for one of the best kpop songs in decade based on billboard list. And BTD & Paradise is known for songs with hardest choreography. Back and Bad choreography is the unique one.
AH their Lead Vocal is L (Kim Myungsoo also known as their visual).
Their songs is always reflecting obsessive love.
I'll be waiting for your another reaction video of Infinite.

This is what we called "synchronize"
Should check out their song 'The Chaser' better example of their synchronization. Also while you're checking out older groups try Teen Top - Rocking, UKISS - Neverland. 2nd gen groups really set the bar and paved the way for kpop styles today

I miss Hoya especially in this era (which unfortunately was his last) he definitely stood out in The Eye. He doesn't have much parts in the song though the ones he has are memorable due to his unique tone which worked for him. infinite was the first kpop group that captured my heart back in 2011!
