Immigration has been a political finger pointing exercise for decades and I can’t help wondering what might be if politicians worked across the aisle to fix the problem? We seem to be so caught up in who’s right and who’s wrong that nothing gets done for anybody! I hope we can find an answer and maybe politicians will remember that they serve the public and not themselves! This country was built by immigrants and that’s something to be proud of!
Explain to all of us why the House Republicans wouldn’t bring up a Bi-Partisan bill from the Senate, on 2 different occasions, that would address the border to both parties liking. What you’re saying gets ignore with the facts.
Because it was NOT what both sides wanted. Sets a floor of 2,500 ILLEGAL Aliens per day! Over 2,500/day for seven consecutive days before action would be taken???? Are you nuts?
There is no new legislation needed to close the border. As the gentleman clearly states in this video, biden shut down numerous policies trump put in place. All they have to do is put them back in place. To specifically answer uour question. Thise bills weren't going to close the border, still allowing 12k illegals in a week and had massive amounts of money going to ukraine and other countries. Maybe try to actually educate yourself instead of parroting talking points the legacy media ie propaganda are feeding you.
Because enforcement of current law from the executive branch is literally the ONLY thing needed to secure the border. That wouldn't require 1 dollar of printed money( more inflation) or bills. Current admin ran a campaign on open borders and did exactly that... opened the borders and ended all previous orders that were working.
Not to mention the amount of pork in that "border bill" would make a butcher jealous!! It was more of a "give more $$ to Ukraine" than securing the border which, as you stated, doesn't need a bill passed in the first place.
