ST 1000 ST 2000 Ramarine Tillerpilot Endplate Rebuild

I have posted videos of the limiting switch and the endfloat repair.
In this one I deal with the endplate rebuild.
This is a crucial part that is not available, so I had to make it from scratch.

Excellent! That shot nearer the end, the closeup pan across the blobs of aluminum and process bits coming to the finely-turned gleaming part - says it all. How we (as humans) go from from a nearly-formlessness to such sublime precision and fit. Funny, how revelatory re-creation is.
