everybody saying he got dunk on..lol that nigga is a center and his a point guard....
But he still got dunked on
+Pak Yu Fuck your picture lmfao
+Pak Yu n its just a fast break
Like the attitude after the dunk he didn't get mad he just start balling everybody up
man.. if lin got that dunk at 1:20 to go the whole house would've went down
+matde100 all 100 people
People don't know that, by the numbers, Jeremy Lin is one of the most prolific and effective drivers in the NBA. He's top 20 in both drives per game and PPP (points per possession) on drives. The Rockets definitely knew what they were getting when they signed him.
They did. Morey got the lapdog he wanted.
It's been a while
when people try to cross Lin, please think about what kind of guard he had to defend in the nba, stop making a fool of yourself lol
agreeeeew
Working everyday.
@MUFC because soccer is quite easy to follow as a sport, it's quite a straight forward game in retrospect and audience's have an easier time to assimilate their abilities to the game.
Where as sports like basketball, rugby, American football, hockey, MMA etc have a smaller audience because the average viewer can't assimilate their skills in such sports as it has a higher learning curve, thus on a psychology level, there won't be as much interest to the audience.
@MUFC soccer is that popular? Remind me again why michael jordan is the richest athlete of all time? Ronaldo and messi's net worth didnt even reach half that of MJ. If you say soccer is so popular in more than 240 countries, why does jordan become more rich every year even though he is retired. Shouldnt ronaldo and messi be more richer since more people knows them in those 240 countries? More popularity means more brand endorsements right? But why MJ still richer? i'll tell you why, because basketball is more popular than soccer. 😂
@MUFC wtf was the point of all this? Just to piss people off? Sorry but soccer wont takeover the philippines or the usa, especially america having football and basketball
That guy was like 7 feet tall, it would be sad if he didn't dunk it..
looool that guy was a Center and Lin's a damnn point guard ahahaha like wtf but still Lin didnt get upset, just kept playing and won the game WOW love that JEREMY LIN
2:20 move is sick ,double direction changed
+劉赫 lol he s just running
+劉赫 Honestly bro, I was lookin at that shit so much, this guy is actually really fast.
Clutch7 are u sure? lol
Gustavo La Raglia Bro don't kid yourself, this is some D. Rose type speed. I'm not saying he is nearly as fast as him, but this is definitely next level.
Arden Cristopher Mendoza he just showed his quickness..i know its hard for tall guys do that moves, but not too rare. I ballin for many years, always saw guys doin those moves, pro or not pro players. if u dont know about basket , please shut up. if u cant play like that level, dont try to understand those plays. just watch us and shut up. sorry for my bad english, bye
The smile on Lin’s face at 4:03
Even to his opponents he can share a bit of a laugh for the fake. Love this guy man
he responded perfectly. That is some real bball. He din't try to andone mixtape him, or posterize him back. It was all within good team ball. He played good defence, passed the ball and of course scored when he needed to. Ultimately, you can say he got posterized but u cant call him a loser. And that is what ball is about.
Thank you for sharing this vid!
2:30 so fast and impressive on the turn!
Know ah
to be honest, id rather drop 45 points than dunk on someone. everyone and their moms in the NBA can dunk a basketball. but who can drop 45 points in an organized game?
V Phung i did 46 points one time
dutchblader123 I almost did 30 the other day. IM GETTING THERE :D
+ManOfHeroes i dropped 1 to... G.O.A.T
+dutchblader123 why you fking lyyyyyyying why you always lying
+dutchblader123 put up a 65 piece tonight
Its clear he's better than that guy whos guarding him.
Scott Machado, he's not in the league anymore.
***** I remember hearing NBA scouts were in love with Machado too.
Sweet Video! Thanks so much! Great to watch the defensive clips too...That was clutch against Machado!
thank you for this. JLin, looking good with those 3-pt shots!
center dunks on point guard big deal....
RIGHT!!! HE FLEXED LIKE HE DUNKED ON SHAQ!!!
It's still an amateur dunking on a pro..
@@jaymtl79 if a 7 footer tries to dunk on curry he'll make it 99 times out of 100. No matter how amateur he is.
@@tmac2368 His name is Drew Gordon and he's 6 foot 9. He's Aaron Gordon's older brother.
@@Angel-nz3uo Well since he's 6 foot 9 it would be something if he dunked on Shaq.
Any shit talkers here play in the NBA?
Fr
Peter C i do
Thanks for sharing.
No one pays attention to Lin anymore after Linsanity, how is he overrated? I think he has the potential to do it again though.
Lin's one of the smartest thinking players and has an intense skill set when he's healthy. Being Asian he's always been more likely to be overlooked/marginalized. One of the truly great nba stories and most unique stories for sure. Should be a hall of famer for that aspect. I can't figure your first sentence out :-)...
@@quicktoreason2722 fact...
3:am in France and watching this while i got to wake up early wtf am i doing with my life!!! lol
the guy dunking it is Drew Gordon, older brother of Aaron
Great VID
he was very composed. great showing!
The speed at 2:25 is crazy
wrong foot layup too
The flash... Seem like he just walk pass two ppl..
meh.....I don't think Jeremy should be risking injury playing with nobodies.....
i feel the same about Lebron...
ASAP Tim why r u bring lebron into this?
because hes the best at this shit..
zprodigalson And because LeBron along with all the other elites in the game do this type of thing all the time.
andre drummond was playing and i think kenneth farried was too
nice video, thanks!
This talent is like high school to Lin..... Its slow motion compared to the comp he's been playing against
If you are Asian and good enough you can break in. It doesn't have anything to do with being asian, YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD ENOUGH. Linn is not underated or overated he is just an average "NBA" vet. Do you know how good you have to be to be an average nba vet.
DALE GOLDSTON Well, he's surely underrated with the Lakers. The amount of playing time he has had didn't make sense. The guy was more valued in a packed Houston team.
DALE GOLDSTON That's not true, honestly lin got very lucky. He is good enough but remember he was still undrafted. He was also sent to the d-league many times, probably because he was asian. So don't give me any of that it's not because he's asian. He was never given the chance to play until injuries occurred. He was always good enough.
Bryan Trinh This argument is populated by people who know little about how the NBA works. Lin was undrafted for many reasons. Being Asian is NOT the main reason. If it was, then Yao Ming would have never been the first overall pick of 2002. Do you know how hard it is to be drafted? 60 picks out of the thousands of prospects in the US and then add the international talent to that! Lin plays the point guard position, the most populated position in the NBA. Every guy on an NBA roster was Mr somebody(the best player in their school or county or area). Even the last guy on the bench was a special player where ever he came from. You think getting into an elite school is hard? Scouts look for growth potential mainly - a player's possible ceiling. Looking back, there was no area that Lin was so much better than anybody else. Nothing that makes him special He has a below average NBA wing span and a below average vertical (which is why his defensive ability is limited when compared to the "average" NBA player). He has a quick first step, which is why he is able to drive through defenses most times. Looking closely, he is a smart basket ball player and is able to make plays -that is one of the later areas scouts look at when drafting, initially they look at physical attributes (JUDGED as an ATHLETE before basketball player) - height, athleticism(MAINLY, especially vertical ability), speed, strength. They don't care for shooting too much because that can be worked on and improved, unless the player is exceptional at shooting. Steph Curry was turned down by almost all the schools and major basketball schools. Everyone said he was too small. if you look at his story the main reason he was drafted was because he was hands down the BEST shooter in the draft - by FAR. NBA drafts look for special attributes they think will translate, what makes Lin a good player is not something that is so obvious among other things..
Bryan Trinh (continued), If Lin had a better handle (way less turnovers, especially since coaches know they can't get much from him defensively, he should at least be able to protect the ball better than most players who can defend as a trade off) and was a better shooter his chances of getting drafted would have been a lot better(not guaranteed). The NBA typically drafts 1st year to 2nd year college players. After that chances of getting drafted drop significantly for a reason I will not get into (Lin spent 4 years playing college ball). Also the NBA is a cut throat league. You get little chances to impress and be given minutes. Nervous or mess up once and that's it. If you look at a lot of the times Lin signed to short term contracts and got cut - he didn't play well. It was that simple. Coaches are trying to win games and the NBA is the most brutal form of contracting. Coach's don't have time to wait and develop players(unless they drafted them, hence believe they can be an impact player for the franchise), they go with what ever seems to work and as soon as you mess up, especially if you were undrafted, they cut you out of the rotation. Some guys just never get playing minutes and are forgotten. This happens to many undrafted guys on a daily basis. The D-League has a bunch of players that could play in the NBA but have not been given a chance. Luckily Lin was able to capitalize on his opportunity in New York.
Marlon Joseph That's true, but there are practices. Do you remember his Lin's first ever summer league with the dallas mavericks? He went undrafted that year, played against john wall, the number 1 pick in the draft, and got the better of him. He played tough defense on john wall, i think he shot like 3 for 18, and lin had 13 pts on 50% shooting. EVEN THEN he was released by mavs, and picked up by the warriors for jersey sales. These scouts are paid a lot of money, they see these players everyday in practice. And you have players like phil pressey getting some playing time even though he can't even shoot above 37%
That was Linsane!
Really quickly I love this
Great tracking on the part of the cameraman! what camera was this shot on?
I feel like Lin could lead a team to the playoffs. They need to give him more responsibility and make him carry his team more like in New York.
your buggin
+ahmed cameron he carried the knicks when melo was out. i guess you're uninformed.
+Two Cents * ..........
+Two Cents * with the help of lin, hornets are having one of their best record seasons in a loong time
***** My belief is true! I wrote this comment at the beginning of the NBA season.
Only thing missing is emperor eye.
lmao foreal
+Demo lmao one of my favorite animes kuroko no basuke
+Demo and the zone
Fellow anime lover
Lol becoz of this anime I got in to basketball😂
+Min Rae me too i guess. hahahaha
People don’t realize just how good these professional and NBA players are. Even the last guy on the bench that doesn’t even get into the game can dominate NBA hopefuls at a Pro-Am like this. I use to go to these games at Kezar when guys like Greg Anthony, Jason Kidd, Gary Payton, Lamond Murray and Antonio Davis would come and play.
Diamond Simpson PBA's one of the most iconic imports who ever played in our league
Wtf some guy gave Jeremy some kd5s to sign
JLin is the best underrated player ever!
2:28 was so amazing.. maintaining his speed while cross.. it looked so unreal..
That boy ballin out there in the Bay. I hope you working hard on that left hand mane. We gone need you to wreck this season my boi. You was coming off that injury last season. So you ought to be ready this year! H-Tine Texas baby!
Do those blue jerseys say gay pride?
😂😂😂 this dude..
Aaah a classic Freudian slip
+Baller4Lyfe7 no but your name sure does
Brutal Blaze Your name means gay porn
Bay Pride
Wow! He should try out for the NBA! He's really good!!!
he is in the NBA .......
L
Lmao he's joking lol
i see passion inside this guy
There really needs to be more positive people like you.
1:19 a steal and a dunk! Linsanity!
dipshit he missed the dunk.
Did he? or is it a goaltending or a blocking foul? there's a call after jeremy took it to the rim so what was it?
Dave Begins obviously a foul.
I was watching this game in person and I knew there would be a time that this guy would take NBA to storm.
but this was after insanity tho
Great note, bro!
Never thought of it that way
Jeremy is the best Asian guard.
+Wenxiao Cong he is like the only one in the nba lol but that might be your joke
+Shinobi Joseph Who's talking about nba?
For all those people who thought the jerseys said gay pride it's bay pride....but I thought it was gay pride too...
This dude had crazy first step. Hope he comes back to nba soon.
Down 57-72 and came back for the win. Nice. As for questions about why he's playing a ProAm game, how do you think pros stay in shape and hone their skills during the off-season? Gotta keep playing.
Jeremy Lin should of came to the Warriors they have a HUGE Asian following because of the diversity in the Bay Area.
he was on the warriors
LOL he left warriors cuz he was treated like a kid (and its because he's asian)
@@labiwen good chance he's coming back this season though
Are the people in the comments slow? This comment was 7 years ago. He wouldn't know where Jeremy Lin was gonna get drafted.
@@Lexel- he was on the warriors way before doe
thought i read gaypride....
hehe yeh I think that it was a play off that... the gay area has become what is a literal 's-hole'. People taking dumps in public places etc.
This is the Lin I hope to see next year!!
... a problem that will no doubt be fixed by staying healthy and working out this summer. You said "Jeremy can't defend". That's a pretty incredible statement because he is well above average in steals and blocks and has very smart defensive instincts. He's done a great job overall against opposing guards this year and it was fun watching him. How many Rockets games have you actually seen?
Don't care if he is overrated
NBA needs some overrated players to survive. Where do u think they get the money from?? Lin might be overrated, but that's doesn't mean anything since he is trying hard everyday like many other players
Why are people saying Lin is overrated?
***** lmaoo rlly? he has a whole nation behind him! if he wasn't asain no one would talk about him.
cause the hype about Linsanity
Kei Zhang he's not overrated he's a great player
Crazy how quick he was before his patella tear
JLin still killing it
how come he tried to dunk it on that one guy but then he laid it up twice when he was wide open?
cuz of the different situations. He tried to dunk on him because he had short distance between him and the rim which gives him more chance to get up higher rather than jump long distance and had no defender on his back and was a fast break after a turnover. But if you see the lay ups.... hes in the situation where defenders were closer and they had focus on lin's penetration, in this situation you want to jump early then your defender to get a better position to lay in or get a contact.
A dunk on someone is a notch on your belt, a reputation enhancer, and potential game momentum changer! A transition dunk, unless it's nasty (like a 360 or something) isn't always worth the energy or effort. You obviously a land lover...Lol...
Good point
Because he doesn't have hops
diesel828 he gets up there with ease, so he definitely has hops. He just doesn't dunk it all the time b/c that's not his style.
Dude had no idea what to do after that dunk to celebrate...lol...awkward
Watching this vid is iconic . Lin in his peak is so good man .he’s not in nba anymore nobody wants him 😭😭😭
jeremy n l r placing piston,detroit.thanks all fans n future fans
who cares he got dunked on :/ he's a little guy who got caught under the rim and a big man dunks him...so what. It's one thing if another guard throws down on him or if He dunks on a big man.
WELL SAID ZAC M
I don't wanna be that guy, but I know so many players who are better than Jeremy Lin who just decided to go to school instead of going pro.
But that makes no sense...he went to school AND he went pro
tomster831 I meant like stay in school, use the scholarship they got to graduate. Idk if Jeremy Lin graduated or not.
doritos003 He did and got a degree in economics.
not only that, but he went to an ivy league college. Very rare you see that in the NBA.
in specific: the first and only nba player who graduated from Harvard.
watching basketball is like looking at the waves crashing on the beach...they keep coming and receding...over and over again...back and forth back and forth and every now and then a huge splashing occurs like a slam dunk crashing down on the beach sand.
Not only that, but Lin also excels in using the pick and roll as both opportunities to score and get assists. If you watch Linsanity tapes from when he dominated in NY vs this season, the amount of pick and roll ran significantly decreased. That's why Lin and Tyson Chandler worked so well together. I feel that now DH12 is in Houston, play will revolve around pick and rolls giving Howard space to score, which will also give Lin more opportunities to get assists and score
Jeremy Lin is the most overrated player in the NBA.
lol, go get a better car
watch?v=4mmyC1H6Ldo
Thats my car....see me anytime
How? He had 2 weeks (Linsanity) of amazing play. The only reason he's talked about now is because he's on the Lakers. He's an average player with good potential.
When it comes to point guards, hes garbage. How do you go off for 5 games and then horrible since then. Him going to the Lakers wont do anything to help much. I dont remember a solid game from him since those 2 weeks and he gets praise because of that.
***** You can stop him going to the lakers or just go somewhere else, go watch some chris humphries Kardashian highlights. lol
2:27 is a real good example of how quick he can accelerate
Jeremy Lin is very underrated . He's talked about a lot more than a lot of NBA players and he is getting better . he's one of the better NBA players
+Blake Riley Overrated you mean. He has potential but he currently getting paid a lot more than he is worth as a player.
Oh man, it's been a while
I like how you put respond, I was waiting for words until I seen he was talking mad shit with the ball skills
Dayyum!!! That double cross-over at 2:28 is siiiiiiiiiiiiick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice analysis, did you read it off of some ESPN articles?
That boi took off
My man Diamon Simpson playing on J-lin's team number 11!!
Getting hype for Brooklyn Nets season? Time for Lin to step up and show his killer nature.
Can't wait
When you have to get hype about jeremy Lin you know your trash
how?
John Sullivan You're* at least we trash that's smart. Please explain how we're trash
Asian Iverson have you seen their starting lineup
My boy lin
Lin is beasting!!
This is why he is in the NBA.
I got pulled over on the highway the weekend after the Knicks/Raptors game. Officer smiled when he saw my driver's license and let me go.
Young lin has really has a good vision and high speed on the court.
Ty
Thank you Tyler for clarifying for the haters.
stat line wuda been nice
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
110% Agreed with you!
Well, I guessed that's just reality isn' it ?
And also reality is that you never stop proving what you're worth.
How many champions are doubted...
I know Jeremy Lin will keep proving himself for a long time.
You should see the last 3 months when he started playing much better. This season he started off slow but it was expected when now they know who you are and develop game plans for you. He was undrafted meaning he has flaws in his game but he came a long way and works hard on improving them. Think this is the year to see if he is worth the money not last year.
I hit the LIKE button 3 times for that move!
Lightening quick!
Who is number two on the white jersey team? And were there any other nba players besides lin playing?
Never dismiss any player! Game is not over yet!!
Lol @ the pissed off dude @4:00
It was his first season starting and he only played like 20 games last year... I agree right now he isn't as good as the point guards of today with their crazy athelticism, but Tony Parker and the point guard in memphis i don't remember his name they developed after time and became really good. Just give him like 2 more seasons and if he still sucks ill agree with you.
What team do you play for again..?
Finally someone who is smart that responds....
Gosh, Lin played that well even in school.
Does anyone know how Lin performed for the rest of the SF Summer League games?
Where can I find stats for this game?
the guy that jeremy was guarding and was being guarded by is scott machado. NBA player on the warriors
