I miss the very first pieces I designed in gorgeous black silk jersey. Bought on site by one client. Unfortunately the silk jersey company just closed.

@@susaneliascouture This dress is black silk jersey, you read about it in books all the time about dresses in the past but i have never seen a dress in the stores made from it even high end stores.

I find knits more difficult to sew. I like sewing with woven fabric. I have some double brushed poly I need to do something with. Looking forward to seeing the sloper video.

Yes, it take a bit more skill with jersey. Over time you will grow to like it I think. Give me a few weeks the Sloper should be available then. Thank you for watching

A Great video, Thank you. I love sewing with Ponti Roma and scuba, they make beautiful cardigan/jackets and trousers. They still fit well if I go up or down one size. The only downside I have to remember is to wash the fabric before sewing as I have noticed some colors shrink more than others.

Interesting which colors tend to shrink?

@@susaneliascouture I first used a plain navy in heavy Ponti, washed after wearing no problem. I used the same pattern on heavy ponti aqua it fit fine after making but once washed it shrunk by nearly 1.5” all around its now shorter, tighter in the biceps and chest. I have to heavily steam and stretch it to get it acceptable. It may not be the dyes but can’t think of anything else.

Thank you for your informative video. I look forward to trying these out with cotton jersey. I do have a pretty merino wool jersey in "daffodil" that I bought online through a store in New Zealand; perhaps this was wishful thinking with regard to my abilities, but I have only found on this platform a video of a man sewing a T-shirt out of some merino jersey. Do you have advice about the patterns for this? Would your dress pattern work?

Sure I didn't see why you couldn't make the t-shirt in a room as long as it's stretch. Be sure to check the amount if stretch first to determine the size you might cut out. Check out my #short video on that;).
