    Just made the purchase of Riot+ using your link! The discount covered my shipping costs! Thank you BONT and Charles!
    Jessica of Bont Cycling staff was very helpful.
    Coming from flat pedals and sport shoes, as I progressed I felt an immediate need to get a proper cycling shoe, but I've had a history of improper shoe fitting because anyone hardly makes shoes for wide feet.
    All the cycling shoes I had seen almost made me swear I'd never make the switch.
    But then I came across brands like BONT cycling, Lake, Shimano and Sidi. Bont offered best bang for buck with Riot+ out of all those other brands. I also did happen to try out a pair.
    Decided to get them even though my initial budget was half the amount at what those shoes are retailing for.
    Got them anyway as these shoes are going to last a long time.
    And information in this video had given me enough confidence as well.

      Was unsure of size so purchased 2 pairs of Vaypor S, a 46 and 46.5. The 46 was tight but the 46.5 seemed a tad too big for my liking. Everyone would go with the 46.5. But coming from a ice hockey background were skates are worn with your toes “feathering the front” of the toe cap I wanted the 46 to fit.
      So I baked and baked and baked and worked the carbon with a screwdriver handle. I was able to get the 46 to fit amazing.
      For Width comparison I bought a pair of the cheaper priced Riot in wide width. The 46 in wide was probably what I should of gone with for the Vayor S.
      Now I have approx 40 thousand miles in my 46 VayporS and 2 pairs of never worn Bonts, the 46.5 Vaypor S and Riot.
      Money well spent

      I had a pair of fizik and they crushed my feet. Proper length, or too narrow. Didn't like the bonts I tried, spoke with a sales rep about sizing and still didn't fit right. Had to pay $20 for shipping and $20 for returns.

    Do they run big or small. I am wearing a size 40 wide shimano. But the sizing chart in Bont website says that I should be a 41. Feet length 249mm/247mm. Looking at getting a Vaypor S.

    Sorry if I missed it. Can you mess up the heat molding and ruin the shoes?

    • @CharlesOuimet
      @CharlesOuimet  3 года назад

      Not really if you follow the instructions ,you can always remold the shoes as many time as needed. Overheating for too long can damage the shoe. See my Bont video breakdown for how to mold it properly!

  • @fa1coner
    @fa1coner 3 года назад

    I really wanted the bont shoes to work for me, but when I got the the shoe was too tight across my left foot so I've had to send them back and since the 50 wide is the biggest they make its not like I can exchange them for something bigger. They did seem a quality shoes though. What I don't like at all is their shipping policy/costs. $25 to ship in the US, yet when shipping them back fedex would have been around $20 (courier bont used) and usps were $17, both less than what bont charged, and I dont even have a commercial account!! So I'm basically out over $40 just for trying on a shoe!!

    • @CharlesOuimet

      Hey man, sorry to hear this!! I guess the 25$ is a flat fee for most of the world. As Alex mention in the video, the shoes are not for everyone. I guess you are one of them :p

      Hi Victor!! I have ridden the Helix a couples times on the indoor trainer (cause it's still winter here) and I really think they have the potential to become my go-to shoes for this season! My Vaypor are extremely comfortable because of the milage they have, but the helix will get there. For the retention system, I also tight both boa pretty much evenly. I think the helix wrap around the foot does makes for a better and firm grip everywhere. My only concern is that they are not available in all white (yet) like the Vaypor S :P
      Either way, both shoes are amazing! Let me know which one you'll go for!
