You should mention Program A vs Program B switch. I went through this setup several times only to have my system kick on at the oddest times. THEN ... I noticed A & B. Overall a very instructive and helpful video for us idiots who never had an irrigation system that bought an existing home with one. Thanks!
This is probably the best instructional video in any category I've seen on RUclips. I installed a some SOD for a customer and watching this one's I was able to reprogram and set the control for my customer without any issues.

My 6TM controller show no signal. I changed the fuses(2) and the battery. I still have no view, is that mean the circuit board chip is dead? or is there anything else can I do to restore it, ?

Each time I press the A/B button it seems to just toggle between A and B. Shouldn't both A & B light up if both programs are on? I'm trying to run A every other day 1 time per day on 4 zones and B 3 times per day for 3 zones to establish new grass. Anyone experience this? If you can help thanks
So I just moved to a much drier climate in Colorado compared to SW Florida where we'd get inches of rain a day and never thought about sprinkler systems. My timer appears to be working properly after I had set it up as it starts the countdown of remaining time per each station, but all four stations aren't spraying. I may not have the program set properly or something, but the only other reason I can think the sprinklers aren't getting water is because there may be a valve closed off but I don't know where said shut off valve would be lol. It's got me stumped atm so any input would be helpful, if I can't get it working with a few extra tips I may have to consider having a local professional come out

Hello, the easiest way to that is to switch the wires around going to the valves in the field located under the removable cover at the base of the controller.
Hi, Our nonprofit has model ESP-4i. The 4 buttons at the top of the controller have no effect on the settings shown in the window. We have the dial on "Auto" and the schedule on "Custom." We can't even change the clock time. Is there a way to re-set the controller. Should we unplug it and remove the battery for a few minutes and then plug it back in? Will this clear things out and allow us to re-set everything? Thank you!
Hello, yeah you can try that, also remove the fuse from behind the cover. If that doesn't work the controller may need to be replaced as the button control can go bad over time.

Yeah, don't utilize a programmed start time, put time on the zones you would like to run, and push the manual start button with the controller in the auto position.
All zones can be on program A. Set the controller to program B and remove all the run times. After that is completed set the controller to program A and add run time to the two zones that previously had time on program B.
The advantage of having some zones on program A and some on program B is if part of the yard is existing lawn and part of the lawn is newly planted the second program would allow for different watering requirements with different start times and zone run times.

Hello, you may have a stuck valve, in most cases the valve needs to be located, cleaned out, and put back together or it may be a controller issue. You can try unplugging the controller and see if the valve turns off. Hope this helps

Hello, if all four stations are not working check to make sure the water is on, or the system has a master valve.

What if you want to run your system on an AM/PM session? Do I use "A" for AM and "B" for PM? Sometimes also my system repeats the cycle
No. A and B are the "programs". Simply use the UP and DOWN arrow to switch the time and watch for "AM" and "PM" to switch.

Can this system be set for Manuel control. Off, on; area 1, area 2 and so on.

Hello, in most cases you need to hire a professional irrigation contractor to perform a proper winterization.
I have this one and it was set up with 4 stations on A and 2 on B, why couldn't they all be on A and how would you change B to A.
All zones can be on program A. Set the controller to program B and remove all the run times. After that is completed set the controller to program A and add run time to the two zones that previously had time on program B.
