- This is a quick video tutorial on programming the Rain Bird ESP-LX Plus irrigation controllers. The controllers was manufactured in 8,16,20, and 24 station models. The controller is used in residential and commercial applications.

My good friend recommended that I use this device to irrigate my cannabis farm, and since I use the cannabis to make an adult Mac and cheese I need my plants to be irrigated very well. So far the controller has been very good although sometimes my irrigation system randomly turns on.

love this thank you. i have my whole system watering every other day on pgm a. in addition to that i want to run zones 3 and 4 3 more times per day to water new seed. how do i do that? do i use a new pgm or do i stay in pgm a and use the 1-6 options?
Hello, you would utilize a second program with additional start times and time on just those zones.
What is the difference between cycle and custom in the program settings? Also what is the point of having more than program A when there are different start times? I have this programmer and we have sections that we do not want to water anymore. We have only programmed A to our watering schedule and have both those water stations set on 0 minutes for that program. We have had an issue with the sprinklers automatically turning on and those zones we didn’t want watered, automatically watered.

Can you stack programs to run at same time when I have two different water sources?

My system worked last year, but doesn't seem to work now. I know my front left lawn is #8 and front right is #1. Won't turn on manually. The raster test didn't show any issues - just letting me know some of the stations are open. Could there be something else I'm missing? Thanks!
Hello, the first thing to check is that the water is turned on. If the water is on check if the system has a master valve that is potentially not working. The final thing to check is that the controller is operating. Hope this helps!

What if you have all stations working during the week but only want certain stations to turn on on other days without having all stations turning on?

Do you know how to fix a dial that doesn't always stay on Auto for scheduled watering? Even if it is on Auto, it doesn't always happen. I think its auto part is partially broken.
Hello, those controllers are known for that issue. Unfortunately, I would recommend having a new controller installed.

These controllers are known for that, typically it is best to budget for a replacement.

How do I move time clock from am to pm?

Yeah, it is a time based irrigation controller.
Not that I can see. You have to program in a bunch of random garbage to do ANYTHING with this thing.
