At my first tournament in October I lost every game got the wooden spoon but I also got the peoples champion award (most polite and nice award) so I’m happy
The wild Vince Venturella in the "waifu key chain" bit took me by surprise and "i like men now" (ralph voice). Anyway, wanted to spark conversation on the terrain rules topic: i tend to play at high competitive level (not bragging btw) and i can assure you that "mystical" is very good for monsters, especially mega-gargants because it is a nice little bump to the effective wounds and "damned" and "deadly" are good for slaanesh to farm a little bit more depravity. I do agree that, a part from these scenarios, terrain is basically just shit on the table you have to move around. Oh one last thing: this video is, of course, BIG.
@@HeyWoah yeah, but i was referring to the bigger picture (aka "all the armies"), as i assume you are too in this video... But of course, all these petty tactics do not apply if you are playing CHADhorns
@@MrTBass11 Memes aside, I actually had a line of dialogue amongst the many I cut to keep the time down that talked about Mystical and sometimes overgrown being useful.
The attitudes expressed around this game, even at a competitive level, esp on this channel are what ultimately drew me to it. Did you just......teach me how to make hamburgers? Cool. Seriously, great video. You have one of my favorite channels on RUclips right now, keep it up.
I probably won't ever go to a tournament - it's not really my thing - but you make the best aos content and are actually funny, so it's still worth watching.
Love the Mike Long-picture. Sad to say it, but he's the magic player who has inspired me the most. I fully agree with Maro that he should be in the Hall of Fame.
I love the Honest wargamer clear objective markers, we have tons of them at the local club (enough for 18 tables I belive). BUT.. God dam I dislike that they are YELLOW, I'd wish for some less obvious marking, make it less colorful, perhaps grey/white or greyish teal, while still better then most, it still ruins the boards estetic a bit.
I love the new content! Could you do a video on Sons Of Behemat as there are basically no good videos on them outside of battle reports. I wanna understand the ways of "Shove 'em in me bag!" and "chuck rocks at 'em!"
You are a small God amongst gamers except NOS is the superior energy drink AMONGST GENTLE FOLK and you should feel bad about suggesting anything else. Still love you.
it's condensed for the vid, but it's pretty close to a real recipe I've used before, nice and spicy. Paint them with butter on the grill, bison has a habit of going dry due to leaner than most red meat.
My Night Lords dice are awesome, screw anyone that says otherwise! My sisters of battle dice are meeeh, ok. The rubber squig dice the put out for my night gobbo army are abominations and useless
Seeing that HG Wells photo makes me wonder, where the hell are all the games where you knock down you opponents dudes firing wooden dowel rods or something similar? I know I know I know, you don't want to break an opponents models or scratch paint they spent 45 hours on but come on, tell me it wouldn't be cool!
It's an old photoshop of vince I made years ago, I wouldn't sell it without his permission though it's like literally his likeness in meme form, not sure if it'd be proper in any case.
They come in various starter GW boxes you may or may not be able to buy them separately. Ask in a GW store they might have a bunch laying around to chop up.
@@HeyWoah Oh those! yeah I got a red one in the Battle for Macragge years ago, which helpfully snapped in half. My friend who runs my local Warhammer store gave me another one but I lost it. At a few points in my life I had a bookshelf full, but I've moved too many times and had to sell most of my possessions too many times to have anything left save for four or five signed copies of old favorites.
This is mostly an older thing from when AoS was still young from the whfb transition. Nowadays I think everything comes with the right base in the box. The old document is here on GW's site: www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/59NHG8W0rPt92WyK.pdf

then don't, but it's a good idea to avoid convention flu. it was invaluable when I used to work cons or else you'd be sick every other week year round.
Try making shorts. You're competing against a smaller crowd, youtube is trying to push the feature hard and they funnel people to the proper channel. Just posting 15 second stream clips seems to be what's working based on the recommendations I'm getting
I love how you're carving out a niche as the dad-game's dad.
The Dad Chad if you will
Based of this video I either have an AoS tournament or a landscapper interview later this week and im no longer sure which.

Grand She-Magus Swoleflexia Dom'crushme had me laughing for 10 minutes.
He didn't even get to "George Washington in Plate Armor" and "Sigdowner"
Fuckin' Slaneesh Edging points in my case xD
I hope to meet this Swoleflexia on the glorious battlefield some day.
dare to dream

That's nice to hear! Sounds like you had fun and kept level even through hardship (and possibly bad dice luck in a few occasions?)
This is the best AoS channel on RUclips and it isn't close.

"Ah, a man of culture I see."
I want to go to the tournament for the first time after watching this.
“Waifu Keychain.” I mean, that was VV magical 💪
Did you just......teach me how to make hamburgers?
Cool.

This video deserves a sub. “Slaneshi edging point” almost peed myself 😂
It's also true.
This hit me right in the … reals… with my first tournament coming up in a couple months.
Impressive amounts of actual advice along with humor. Very nice

Shout-outs to not forcing the blight of eSports into AOS.

This has helped me a lot for being my shops new TO.
Cool video, love the increased frequency of youtube vids.
I now feel 67% more ready to go to a tournament
Yo that vince keychain is fire.
Hell yea, 2 heywoah videos in one month! Seriously though awesome content as usual, I hope it’s been enjoyable for you to dude
Never played a tournament, but this video was fun and made me think maybe I want to now.
They're fun! You should.

I'm building my very last unit to take to NOVA as you dropped this. I'll make sure I pack extra weed whacker string
Love this guys voice and demeanor
Killer content. I'm going to my first event next weekend and this was just in time.

monster zero ultra is actually gross it's just for the dad gamer meme. NOS is superior, of course.
This tourney guide helped me have a very nice time at my tournament.
Thanks for the glue advice
Need to add "Don't forget your crown, cuz we all dadgame Kings in here"
ok I want to see what the rest of that stormcast list was at 3:20
I saw the Pandemonica and that you posted it and a grin crossed my face
Another wonderful video, thank you for more getting started content!

Subbed. Hope you get to game the system XD
Brilliant work, king
Thank you so much
Can't believe you forgot the walkman playing the cruisin USA main menu theme on repeat in the gaming supplies checklist
includes breath mints, forgets deodarant.
some things are so basic I forget, and yet...
I go to tournaments to complain about it on Twitter later
how much fertilizer and topsoil do i need to bring for my sylvaneth? not sure what’s optimal for tournament
8-4-24 for sure

nice key chain dude
where can i find the clear objective markers? great vid btw :)
A bunch of places sell them, mine are from honest wargammer

my local game store does army prizes for tournaments both aos and warhammer 40k (I sweat it's because both are painting and conversion addicts)
…and finally, Git Gud. Good tips HeyWoah. Ironically, i’m listening at the library while printing 🤣
I really lost it when I saw the waifu keychain

Where can we find the keychain (the left one)? Asking for a friend

Can you clarify where is the base size relented rules?
Because i can show you gw - official text where it doesn't.
