- First I must apologise for sharing some footage for a second time.
Three years ago I filmed footage of mostly class 153 & 156 that used to work along this line, which I was keeping for the next time I came to this area to mix with the class 755 units..
But last year my computer completely seized up and I lost a lot of severed stuff.
Nice images with trains and lovely scenery! Excellent rail movie! Thumbs Up
All the best from Romania
Andrew
Glad you enjoyed this video.
Progress for many reasons, but the heart and sounds are gone. Good contrast all the same, take me back 3 years please 👏
Yeah every time Graham, thanks for taking a look.
Nice to see the 37s again Mike, cheers .
You bet Stephen, just wish we still had them on passenger trains. Mike.
incredible acceleration of those 37s great to see, thanks Mike.
They were such great days Steve, It was worth doing all the miles to get these great locos on film along that line. Mike.
I think I am living the old school gates, the old school diesels and pretty much anything old school!! 😄 John
I am in the same school as you John, Cheers for watching what we had which most of us miss. Mike.
Interesting video of the mixture of trains.
Thank you very much Ian for watching and making a comment. Mike.
That's ok, I enjoy watching your video.
What a fantastic sound the 37s are you can't beat that thank you 👍
You bet, I just love them sounds myself Paul.
Great video.
Bloody great days these were mate.
Excellent video 👍
Thanks for visiting my channel again TE, always good to see your YT name appear. Cheers Mike.
@@antman09ful1 thanks for the reply
I always make a point of putting a mention in the comments if I have enjoyed watching a YT video
You make a lot of us very happy dude this yet again is epic!🎥👌👍🥇👏😋👀
Glad you enjoy another one of my videos Ronnie. Regards Mike.
Great comparison video Mike. Excellent, well done 💙 stay safe 💙
Thank you Tony, I had a nice breakfast in Brundall yesterday dinnertime Tony.
Got to say the 4 x Deutz V8 engines in the centre power car do sound meaty! Probably the best units on rails. Nothing compared to a 37 though, and I miss driving them.
Hi there Mr Gallagher, good to see you back, yes I agree them new breed of units are the best on the UK network I think, for sound as you mentioned and comfort.
No nothing will beat the good old class 37s, and yes I know what you mean about driving them as I did a few years back.
Very nice Mike , loving the 37s
I could film class 37s all day once a week Jamie. Cheers Mike.
Awesome Mike brilliant 👍
Glad you enjoyed it this new and old footage Kev.
Great video Mike :)
Thanks Simon.
That was a good one Mike. I’m afraid the old railway has gone from here now and so are the 37s on passenger work, although it’s still a great little line to visit. Go at the right time like now and you can still hear that lovely English Electric sound.
I was over there yesterday Bryan and filmed the 37s in that area five times, but the weather was so dull and depressing, but yes you are right its a great area if there is something good to film.
Nice work Mike, those 37's sounding good. Shame to see the old crossing gates no longer there.👍
Yes all them men and women maybe out of a job David.
Fckn Awesome shots there my Maan! - 1.15 and 7.03 - 7.44 ✨👌🏻👍🏻🙏🏻✨
Yes I agree with you100 % Donni.
Nice one Mike, crazy on how things has moved on. Can remember the top and tail 37's on local hauled services. If only they carried on through to today. Has to be said, the class 755's are amazing to ride on especially by the diesel generator :-)
Ricky I have to say them class 755 are a ok unit when it comes to most of the new stuff on the railways of the UK, but yes when we had class 37s in three different areas of the network on passenger trains I have to us the words "fantastic times".
Think you Ricky for watching and your comment. Mike.
Well done Mike on this fantastic comparison....was it really 3 years?!. Sad, but an interesting video, great work
Yes it was mate, cheers
Very nice touch of ancient and new, thank you Sir for bringing to us! Did I see right, gateman opens for train but train still stopped?
All I can say is at some stations the train stops, then the barriers go up, that is the new way. Thanks for taking a look. Mr Doolittle.
Brilliant video Mike. Gutted I couldn't come out to see them but there seems to be always 37s out and about anywhere now so that's good
I did get some good shots yesterday Ben, but the day was so dull and depressing but it was the only day I could go.
enjoyed this thank you
That is good Keith, I was over that way again yesterday but the weather was so depressing.
@@antman09ful1 Weather not bothering me anymore. I'm past the stage of chasing trains and sitting on cold platforms. On the odd occasion I will go with David . I'm still converting my stock of past videos, over 200 now so I'm not sitting around with nothing to do. My walking is quite slow now but I still try to go for a short walk most days. If we do get a 'fab' day I will get a taxi to go to a station and travel somewhere. Glad I've stopped driving thats for sure. Keep going as long as you can....your time will come...ta be sure,,,,lol
Keith I know you have stopped driving from your videos, and if I can continue doing my hobby up to your age I will be more than happy.
So you kept your mind busy editing your old videos in the warmth of your home, and oh yes I would like to get to one of your favourite stations, Ealing Broadway before the end of the year.
excellent shots 👍shame the crossing gates have gone sign of the times at wye and chartham in Kent we have the old style crossing gates they want to replace them with automatic barriers the villagers put up a protest to save them they should have gone at chartham 7 years ago and they are still there, there was some old style one near chilham station in Kent but sadly they were replaced 😟
Interesting stuff Barry, and thanks for telling us about them gates which us enthusiast love.
Zur Sicherung seiner Filme macht man ja eigentlich Backups.
Thank you.
Great video .
Glad you enjoyed it Dave. Great day which we can look back on.
