How the hell can one guitar get the first sound and the last sound so right!? This is the best review I've seen of this guitar, and one of the best I've ever seen of any guitar!
The best review video I have seen so far showing the versatile nature of the instrument, no endless talking followed by a few bars of nothing, he just gets on with it.
I love all ...and especially the saturated sound on bridge pickup...not just the sound and tone, but what you were playing was a very dynamic expession...I could have listened to that for an entire song. Reminded me of the Crusaders from a while back. Bravo! Liked and subscribed.
Thank you for this vid! I am primarily a rock player and I am considering buying one of these guitars in my area. FINALLY, some gain on the bridge pickup! Sounds killer! благодарю вас!!!
Great playing. Really showed how versatile this guitar is. I was looking at getting it for jazz but good to know it’ll do a great job of blues and rock tones too. Sadly the Mesa is beyond my budget🙁
Informative and impressive...Ive got a 2006 korean epi J.P. and I hope after setup its almost as nice. Please keep reviewing guitars my friend! Dave in Arizona
That was a very good representation of the versatility and available tones for this guitar. Great playing. Guthrie Govan on an archtop, who would have guessed that it would sound so good. What were you using for the overdrive sound on that? Cheers!
There is proof here that a hollow body can handle rock distortion tones fine for fusion stuff. I even tried super intense sounding Jazz song I had to play in a school band with a hollow body and some light distortion which was cool. Tuning issues with bends can happen but that it ok since I hardly use bends on my hollow body guitars.
You get great sound out of that guitar. The new ones with the new pickups cost about $700 here, which is cheap for an archtop in the states. But don't you think you need a bigger amp? Ha ha.
I believe so, although not advertised on the Epi site, they are at some retailers. For the $ I would put the current JP Pro II at the top of the list. Fabulous instrument.
That is such a nice tone. Are you using any of the amp's distortion or is that just the 808? I'm sure a lot of it is your technique too. I just love the texture of that sound.
Okey, you might think so but the recifier is made for rock and metal. Mesa boogie them self are marketing this amp as a rock and metal icon. It has to much tone, and its not the right amp to use to review a jazzgitar, thats what I think. You should use a jazz chorus, or an old solid state amp.. Yes it is true that mesa boogie makes amps that can be used with many styles of music and guitars, but this isn't one of them..bro
Dödens Kaga Does the amps sound bad to you when he plays jazz? I think this was a great choice of an amp to review this guitar, because it is so flexible every genre he played sounded good (too my ears at least).
How the hell can one guitar get the first sound and the last sound so right!? This is the best review I've seen of this guitar, and one of the best I've ever seen of any guitar!
thank you
He would a elastic band sound good excellent video great sound i have one of these guitars hopefully I can make it sound like you do thanks
The best review video I have seen so far showing the versatile nature of the instrument, no endless talking followed by a few bars of nothing, he just gets on with it.
THANK YOU for playing not only the gorgeous clean tones, but I've been itching to hear it with distortion....

Finally, somebody who can play without shouting, tons of distortion and childish swearing and porno. Great vid.............

An exceptional demo. I liked your straight ahead jazz playing, but Loved the fusion style 'outside' stuff towards the end.
Awesome Demo! Thanks...love the playing and love the production...greetings from the US
thank you)
AW SHIT! Finally some jazz to test this type of guitars. I loved it ! Amazing video.

Very good playing, and also good demo of this epi various capabilities, showing alone and through the mix. Thank you 👍

"Bow ties are cool" (Dr Who)....enough said!!
Great playing. Really showed how versatile this guitar is. I was looking at getting it for jazz but good to know it’ll do a great job of blues and rock tones too. Sadly the Mesa is beyond my budget🙁
Considering buying this guitar and you're pushing me to it! Fantastic playing and demonstration of it's flexibility.
Outstanding demo, playing, guitar and feeling it facial expressions lol!!! Superb
Loved the fusiony thing at the end.
It"s Amazing Gutrie Govan)
Using a Mesa that is normally for metal. Surprised me how great a jazz tone you got. nice job
Great playing it must be said you use the most expensive amp around, which enables you to create the best sound.
thank you!
Informative and impressive...Ive got a 2006 korean epi J.P. and I hope after setup its almost as nice. Please keep reviewing guitars my friend! Dave in Arizona
Great playing. Can you please tell me is this model made in Korea or it's one of the newer ones made in Indonesia?
That was a very good representation of the versatility and available tones for this guitar. Great playing. Guthrie Govan on an archtop, who would have guessed that it would sound so good. What were you using for the overdrive sound on that? Cheers!
thank you) I used original Mesa Boogie drive(vintage chanel) with Ibanez TS 808)
Thank you for the response. Great playing! Keep up the good work.

The ability of the rectifier is amazing!!
Very nice, choosing between this and the Epiphone es 339 pro
Ouaouh! Belle démo ! ça sonne du feu de dieu . J"étais déja intéressé par cette guitare mais alors là ! j'ai plus qu'à apprendre à en jouer !
Beautiful playing with so much versatility. I wish you were my guitar teacher.
What year is your 🎸Joe Pass?
I have skype lessons) welcome)
Великолепная игра, Владимир. А от полууакустики, чес слово, не ожидал такого вкусного перегруза.
спасибо большое) Гитара крутая)
Sounds very good! What kind strings was on the guitar? 11 or 10 gauge?
nice how you play guthries solo towards the end :P
I’m considering this guitar to play rock’n’roll, looks and sounds awesome
Looks like he changed the pickups or maybe added coil splitting. I can see the pickup wiring in the f holes.
Great sound and licks.👍
Amazing sound and demo. One of the best I've seen.
Can you split coils in this guitar?
Face at 3:26 Ha ha! Have some o that then! Great, great display of this guitar's capabilities.
Very impressive demo.
Can you tell me about what year is your guitar?
I wonder if the new chinese made are as good as the korean made?
Very nice indeed! Is this a Korean Model? Are the pickups stock? Thanks
Mr Muck yes, Korean. Stock pickups)

Very nice demo!
Thank you!
Great Video!!Super! Can you Play the Name of your Chanel in English?👍👍
Nice guitar good performance happy new year
Beautiful demo!
A Joe Pass into a Mesa Dual Rectifier 🤘
Nice playing 👍👍👌
Man,,,this sounds great with distortion too???? LOL>..very very cool! I admit that the extremely good amplifier may have 'helped' somewhat!!
Friend, there are some difficulties using this distortion on the guitar. They appear mostly in feedback). But you can play, if desired)
hi, please tell me if you use some effect on first song or that is the real guitar sound.. thank you
It`s a very underrated guitar, with a very nice jazz tone. in my opinion better than the big "G"
+Wolf Gang it is good guitar) thank you bro)
+Владимир Павловский Elixir 11-52
Очень годный и адекватный обзор джазовой банки, старик Джо одобрил бы) Жаль правда, что гитарка не по корману.
Спасибо)

is it flat top?
this guy can make a 60us squier sound like a suhr!!
great
Amazing sound for 700 bucks.
Great playing
well done !
Damn good player
what strings gauge?
11-52 Elixir
That was a demo... not a review
Anybody know if they still make this model guitar?
I believe so, although not advertised on the Epi site, they are at some retailers. For the $ I would put the current JP Pro II at the top of the list. Fabulous instrument.
Владимир, какой калибр струн на гитаре?
11-52
so guage 11.. and just roundwound?
Not understand you)
sjirk they're probably using 11 gauge flat wound strings, those are very common in jazz.
@@mrDoublebooster what type of strings
Hello!
What kind of distortion does he use in the last song?
Mesa Boogie triple rectcy solo head vintage chanell + ibanez ts 808
Thank you!
That is such a nice tone. Are you using any of the amp's distortion or is that just the 808? I'm sure a lot of it is your technique too. I just love the texture of that sound.
It's Mesa original overdrive chanel sound(vintage chanel)+ Ibanez TS 808.
Thank you. I didn't think all that overdrive could come from the TS 808. Such a great sound. I really like your playing too. Cheers from Canada.
Jaw Drop!
Russian kick ass at every damn thing~
i am Ukrainian)
+Владимир Павловский Sorry my mistake! But still love u:)
YY is coming no Problem)
struggled with democracy and people's rights....lol
you are a player , make any guitar sound good !!!!!
Thats the weirdest amp to use on a jazz guitar.. Mesa boogie rectifiers are made for metal and rock, to much tone to get a jazz sound
I dont think so, bro)Mesa is very universal amp to get any sound )
Okey, you might think so but the recifier is made for rock and metal. Mesa boogie them self are marketing this amp as a rock and metal icon. It has to much tone, and its not the right amp to use to review a jazzgitar, thats what I think. You should use a jazz chorus, or an old solid state amp.. Yes it is true that mesa boogie makes amps that can be used with many styles of music and guitars, but this isn't one of them..bro
Let me just add this, you play really good :) But the amp is still wrong ;)
Dödens Kaga Does the amps sound bad to you when he plays jazz? I think this was a great choice of an amp to review this guitar, because it is so flexible every genre he played sounded good (too my ears at least).
It is your opinion)
