- Our Classic Original Ghostbusters HISHE Remastered.
While prepping a short for this episode we thought why not give this whole thing a re-render. After all the original HISHE was 12 years old, It's 100% independently owned now, we can rebuild it in 4k... oh and it's Ghostbusters season. Why shouldn't we Remaster??? *Cue Winston Saying "we have to tools we have the talent!" So we did!

@@CrabtasticCrabs lol! Yeah, definitely too young, but my parents were good about explaining that it’s only a movie and that it’s pretend. I saw Temple of Doom in the theatre as well and that madness was scary. I knew it was fake, but that was definitely way scarier.

There's a fan theory saying that Ghostbuster 2 is set in Purgatory.
In the movie they shoot the beams into the gate and cross the streams in Gozur's reality, which is why that's the one that gets destroyed
They crossed the streams, like, every other episode in the cartoon. It's fine.

Possible answers the Thorazine question:
1. At the time it was used as an anti-psychosis medication.
2. In the novel, it stated it's something Dana already had due to trouble sleeping. This can be partial corroborated in the film as the camera makes a point to show how there are items scattered around, implying Venkman has been searching for something.
As for the amount(300CC), this was a mistake and should have been 300mg. But you could take it as him exaggerating for emphasis.
Unless in the novel (didn't even know it existed) it stated that or something - there's a chance 300 CC, or 300 mL, isn't a mistake and that given she was possessed by a supernatural demon dog of unknown power could be that it did actually take that insane amount to sedate her.
Why are you trying to make excuses for Venkman being a creep? It was established at the beginning of the movies that he’s a creep. Occam’s razor.
I guess I always assumed that he just ran back between scenes to get some equipment they keep on hand in case of spirit possessions.

Those jump suits are entirely explosion proof. I mean they do have to handle nuclear powered packs after all.

For some reason as a kid I always used to compare the ghost in the Ghostbusters logo to the Michelin Man and even got confused on who was who and I have no idea why
They were pretty similar to be fair

I loved the slightly very different theme and logo.
0:16 Interesting fact about this scene. When they were making the film, the special effects were not ready to show a preview audience what was inside Dana's fridge. So when she opened it, the film cut to a black screen with the words 'Scene FX incomplete' or something like that. Apparently, the audience went mental!
No matter what the filmmakers made up, it wouldn't have compared to the imagination of that audience who saw that card.

The thorazine thing drives me nuts. Nobody thought that people would be thinking 'wait a minute' on that one? There's even a possible explanation with the drug store that delivers either if Peter is licensed to prescribe in New York or he's a fast talker but even then we're doing the heavy lifting for the writers.
Could you imagine how the tighr pacing of the films ending would change if Egon calls him on that over the phone? Would give the film a very different vibe. Probably should have done something like establish sleeping pills in the appartment and those being what he gave her instead.

I always figured that Egon just didn't want to explain the full idea: That they'd cross the streams on the other side of the portal, exploding that universe, and hoping that the portal closed when that pocket dimension imploded.

I like how a decade ago these guys unintentionally predicted the joke in Ghostbusters Afterlife, with Ray finally telling Gozer that they are all gods.
