what's the best way to clean out the ear? have your ENT do it?

Last week the ent took wax out of my left ear and then saw some hair on my ear drum and plucked it out with a tool. It hurt. Now it's all inflamed and another ent looked in and said I have otitis externa and he prescribed neomycin/polymyxin B/Hydrocortisone drops. But I have very tiny canals and if I put these drops in my ear canal, it will clog up, making me very uncomfortable and possibly dizzy. I may just wait and see if it gets better on its own. He said it could, but it could also get worse. No puss. No fever. Not diabetic. I'm 71.

I think I get it from rearing earphones and washing my ears in the shower without drying it. I'm currently using otomize drops (that's probably the wrong name) because it's my 3rd case in the last year and a bit. I guess I'll have to find different types of headphones that let air in and wear plugs in the shower or while swimming

Ontzettend bedankt

Second month and my ear is infected for the third time, completely fed up of it. As i stop taking drugs, it comes again, Ear drum is raptured and black debris is inside which docs are afraid to wash out coz its not coming out by suction. Dont know what to do.

try using Christopher's lobelia extract and garlic oils in the ears to soften and kill the bacteria. Also, eat an anti-inflammatory diet---that pretty much kills all disease
