The outboard spoilers coming up on approach is the 787 "Autodrag" function to help capture the glideslope while in landing configuration. The function will go away when you are at 500 feet above ground.

Another great video mate, I think the flight 101 videos would be awesome, to help newer players and even more experienced players to brush up on some skills.
I do have one request which is the short flight from Cardiff CDF to Ynys mon VLY in a jetstream 41 (flybe BE7614) if possible so I can see the route used before trying it, :)

@9:09, that was EWR and the "land mass" across of it is a city in New Jersey called Bayonne. To the northeast of that is Manhattan

Hey Matt super late here but thanks for flying into my home airport of BWI! Just a tip in case you fly there again in the future. ATC uses cross runway operations there. Depending on wind config they use 33L for arrivals and 28 for departures, or 10 for arrivals and 15R for departures. 33R/15L is a GA runway, so that is used for both arrivals and departures. Always have enjoyed your videos! Been out of the loop for a while so now I have some catching up to do.😁

The weight loss is life changing and you have stayed humble and shown good character throughout your trials. I consider myself and original Belynz watcher/supporter and still do. Put videos out as you have time and the passion to do so but feel no obligation to satisfy the masses!

That was Newark Airport. If you looked further ahead you could barely make out Manhattan in the foggy distance to the top right of that Island you were pointing at. The Island by the way was still part of Jersey.
Also I seen a lot of people have this problem. Don't use the WXR. It for someone reason causes crashes until QW updates that plane. Don't want you to be 6 hours in on a 7 hour flight and it crash like it did for me. Brought me back to FSX days of random crashes hours into a flight. Good times..

Just found your videos and I am very impressed. I used to work in ATC many moons ago in the RAF and I played with MS Sim for a few years. I consider myself a newbie and your suggestion of some instructional videos would help and refresh a lot of us I am sure! I was going with PD3 until I saw your X Plane video ... now I am sitting on the perimeter fence:-) Keep up the fantastic work if you have the time and inclination.

Hi Matt, another superb video of amazing quality. yes, perhaps some tutorial videos about the basics of jet flying are a good idea to assist us novice aviators out there. as you comment, a non- ILS approach landing is very scary stuff for newbies. Keep em coming mate. so glad you're back

Great Vid, and again great to have you back. Just a word of advice, I know your excited, just as we are, to have you back on youtube, but please pace yourself. Don't over do it! Wouldn't want you to burn yourself out, then we all loose. FYI, when you were looking at Newark, just across the river to the east was Jersey City and Bayonne. Then to the east of that (in the haze) was the Hudson River and then Manhattan. The island land mass, just south of Bayonne was Staten Island. I happen to know this because I grew up in Jersey City (A very, very, long time ago)

British Caledonion livery included, flying the old route from Gatwick(UK 2000) to Gran Canaria(Aerosoft) Keep up the good work
