I just started actually learning proper fashion illustration rather than just doing my own thing and your videos have been hands down the most helpful! I love how you get straight to the point and are so informative. 🧡
I'm not drawing for fashion but I've been trying to draw pseudo-surrealist and dark fantasy stories... this is definitely informative as the style I'm trying to do is somewhere between ugly and pretty... kinda rusty at drawing things that are pretty. Thank ya kindly, Natalia
Thankue so much Natalia that really helped to improve but, can you please tell that which kind of pencils you prefer most for drawing fashion figures???
TIME STAMPS: 0:29 drawing the face in real time 5:55 drawing exercises (drawing circles, pencil pressure + more) 7:50 how to draw each part of the face (larger scale) 11:22 how to clean up the drawing in photoshop
You're amazing I love your art and I'm going to tell my cousin about you because she wants to become a fashion designer someday!😊 BTW you got yourself a new subscriber and maybe another subscriber since I'm showing my cousin your channel!😊
I have a couple examples of what I had in my entrance portfolio in my FIT video :) but I don’t think I’ll do an application portfolio video- I applied so long ago that I’m not sure if any of the requirements have changed since then
yes I have a few! 1. starting out with a figure template can be very helpful, fashionary has some free printable templates! 2. printing out different design details (ex. a cool pocket, an interesting closure) as a reference can be helpful while you’re drawing 3. using a miniature mannequin to drape fabric on and take photos of can be helpful for the creative process 4. making collages (with paper or digitally) can be helpful for designing as well. I would check out the Schiaparelli ig account, there’s a lot of examples there of designing with collage

I have a couple examples of what I had in my entrance portfolio in my FIT video :) but I don’t think I’ll do an application portfolio video- I applied so long ago that I’m not sure if any of the requirements have changed since then
This maybe a stupid question but I have a hard time getting my ideas for clothes on to paper.. so do you have any tips that may help with that

Heyy Natalia. Where do you shop for art supplies online? Love this video
I added a link in the description box of where I buy my colored pencils! I like using PC 935 Noir
Is this how they teach u in FIT? I’m so nervous
don’t be nervous lol! freshman year they teach all the drawing fundamentals :)
natalia dedios yeah thanks I’m majoring in Meswear so idk if it’s really the same but helped a lot❗️
