Thanks for watching everyone! I hope you enjoyed the process of turning this rough agate into a beautiful polished specimen!
These agates and many other items are available here: www.etsy.com/shop/agatedad
I'm curious to how much your current cutting, grinding and polishing set up costs?
The quartz is beautiful as well as the lines in the rock. The tiny rock is also beautiful. Cute dog.
Very nice!
Barely see the fractures ❤
☺️
Thanks Taylor, they turned out beautiful ⭐ Love my digital wallpaper from your Etsy shop 💜 Hi Bentley 🐶💕
Im so glad you like it!!
They both turned out so beautiful! Cracks and pits are just part of the personality of the stone, so it's all good. Crazy lace is one of my absolute favorites! Just missed ya live, dang it all! Bentley is precious!
He’s a good boy 🐶
Stunning polish! And that little cab is pretty darned nice, too! Not to mention Bentley! Next time get him to say "ruff"!
Next time!
Nice rocks! I actually like the fractures. It gives the agate character.
Lovely LSA and mini Mexican lace....great shine....
It looked pretty rough at the beginning but it turned out so pretty! I loved seeing how it looked at each step so I could see the differences, so cool.
I’m glad you noticed the differences!
What a beautiful Lake Superior agate! The shine was so gorgeous! Loved the crazy lace cab as well!
It's hard to believe you haven't been fixing and polishing rocks for a long time! You are soooo good at it! Absolutely beautiful job!!! 😊
Thanks! It’s so fun so I spend a lot of evenings working on polishing. Continuing to get better!
Beautiful! We love to pick the back roads and gravel pits in central Minnesota 🎉
Lake Superior agates are the best fractures and all! Love it ❤ Great job and thanks for sharing...
Yes they are!
I love the quartz in agates and that one is amazing!!! You can even see the rainbow in the quartz!!! Just stunning!
One of these days agate dad, you might see me on the north shore! Nice job on your agate! They are beautiful!
Say hey if you see me! I usually keep to myself but always happy to chat and go hunting!
Small tip from a stone mason, apply some oil to stones to hide cracks and keeps stones wet if you like... Also agets been made with mineral soup of some sort, so, as it's dryer, it'll cracks, hence the oil. Good work, what you doing is my retirement plan, enjoy watching your videos,
All the best
The stick formation in the lace agate is cool, turned out awesome.
Thank you!
I really enjoy watching you work. I do beading jewelry and mostly use glass beads (like Preciosa, etc) I have some stones that I encase in tiny beads to make pendants. Careful with your fingers , I get nervous watching you . Blessings 🙏👋👋👋👍👍❤️
Working any agate is slways challenging. Thet ed will always be pits and cracks that have healed. I think you did a great job. Keep having fun! 😷⚒
Thanks!!
I just watched the video where you picked this stone up
It's beautiful. Love how it looks . Thanks for sharing.
Wow, they both came out just beautiful!
That looks great and beautiful. Love those bands. Love the shine. It's great looking. Thanks so much for sharing. Liked. One of your best videos. From Jordan
Appreciate that!
Nice work on that beautiful agate.
Thanks!
@@AgateDad Thank you for making such enjoyable videos. Good luck on your next hunt. Maybe you'll find that uncracked agate. :)
Beautiful work, Taylor! ❤️🎸🏏
Thanks!
That is very beautiful 👍🥰 👏
Absolutely beautiful!! I am a rock collector. I love, love agates.
Your doggie is a sweetheart.

Awesome video
Thanks!
Soooooo cool!
It's just amazing 👏
Loved the lace agate! Hi Bentley!
very pretty
Nice work Taylor, there's even some color play in the quartz. Bentley's pretty cool too. Pyrenees?
English cream golden retriever
@@AgateDad Wow, first time I've ever heard of one. He is a beautiful big boy. His size and fluffiness made me think Pyrenees. I used to raise them and Maremmas, and crosses thereof for LGD's.
Stunning!
Love the little cab. And I found your store, will keep an eye on what comes up!
Awesome! Thank you!
Another beauty!
Thanks!
Well done👏
Beautiful agate, great job
Beautiful shine you put on it!😍
Thank you! 😊
You do great work!
It turned out beautifully!
Thanks!
Very pretty!
Cute dog lol. I love a good dog hug❤
Right??
good polishing ❤
Nice work very patient.
Always
Esse cabochão é simplesmente sensacional !
Необыкновенно!
Beautiful❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Why is it always the tiniest ones that have the most amazing features?
Right?
Very good
I'm interesting and congratulations to you from Cambodia
Gyönyörű!
I'm a huge agate finder I would love to go agate hunting with you sometime
“Ok I think I think I got all the dog hair off of me.”
There is no such thing 😂
True that 🤣
I love watching your videos! I've had the pleasure of using the rock saw you use and have found myself getting as excited as you do when I see what's inside these rocks!
I'm trying to find the right way to polish them though. I have a polishing wheel but being new to this I don't think I'm doing something right. Do you just the cab king to do this process or do you use the polishing bricks too to create the shine. I would love to have the cab king but we live the full time Rv life traveling all over so space is limited 😢
With that said my rock collecting is starting to look like the scene from I Love Lucy!
I love watching you do your thing. What do you do with the quartz
Kis szépség.
How do you recognize the agate when is rough?
Heya love your channel,
I have a question what is the difference between diamond and res wheels?
When cutting, I c use use an up and down movement as well as pushing. Does that help with saw marks ?
I just try to keep moving it around until all the marks are gone from each stage prior
I’ve been thinking about face polishing some of my agates. What set-up do you use?
8”cabking
Do you ever cut agates or polish them for viewers?
All the time ☺️
Can you share what music your playing? I like the music as well
Music is from Artlist. I download it and put it into the video.
Hi, I was curious as to the total polish time invested in the larger agate (which came out super!)? When using your cab machine, do spray particles become airborne as to lay on items nearby? I was considering purchasing a 8 inch King Cab machine. Many thanks.
This took me over an hour, a little but not not bad. I usually get water on my apron. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks for the info. Good job on the agate.
As a beginner my fingers are getting chewed up pretty good. Also I have a tendency to hit the edge and going a cut. Is it just practice
Yeah and I hit mine all the time too, nature of the beast
Awesome video. I have a quick question. I am in the process of starting to set up my shop. I'm going to have a couple thousand to spend on tools of the trade. There is a Cab King that falls into that price range and I would love to have it but would it be wiser to get the Hi-Tech 8" flat lap and use the extra money to get some other tools like a slab saw or a wet belt sander. I have a tile saw I use for trimming and cutting thinner slabs I purchase and if I get a large rock I have the store slab it for me so I can work with it at home. Thanks.
My advice would be to get either a 6” or 8” cabking and get the saw attachment for the unit. The you have it all in one. Besides a vibrating lap, you’d have pretty much everything you need to get started in those pieces. Send me a email or message if you have any questions!
How do we send you stuff? Could you cut and return agates? Do you charge for that? Ive collected so many lake superior agates but dont have any tools for them lol
How often do you need to replace wheels?
The wheels grit…
I’ve had these rez wheels for a long time, looking at changing the 280/600 soonish. It’s been over 6 month I think
Gorgeous! But why don't you wear eye protection? 😔
I usually wear glasses but I lost my glasses
I sent you a message in messenger. I was wondering if I can send you a couple pictures that I found while on the north shore . I have had 2 that two different people have said look like thompsonite. I would love you opinion
Dog!
love your content, but sometimes I have difficulties watching with volume, your background music (for me anyway) leaves something to be desired.
Well I make my videos with my style and will continue to do that since that’s what makes my videos unique to me and my creativity. I also watch the volume control bar on my editing software so it’s not all over the place.
