We have almost the same set up only I have a 2024 F350 SRW 6.7 HO Platinum Tremor, towing a Brinkley Z3610 42’ long fully loaded trip ready 18K. It could be the gearing, it could be speed, but I’m getting 9.1 MPG over about 3,000 miles of towing.
We are just about maxing out the GAWR, GVWR and Payload I added some airbags to the truck. I have a suggestion if you end up putting on a gooseneck and get chuck or you’re getting chuck with your kingpin. Once we added the airbags at 20 psi we saw chuck on (certain concrete) roads when I aired 50 psi that Chuck 100% went away and a mind blowing. The airbag system that I got wasn’t anything super special it’s made by Airlift called the Load Leveler 7500XL. There is a bit of a difference whenever you get the airbags and you’re driving around without a load, but it’s not terrible and only noticeable on larger whoops or sharp transitions.
I moved away from the RV maps and went back to my Apple map. The reason why is it often added hours to the trip without any legitimate reason, in my opinion. If I travel through certain smaller towns or feel like there’s a need I’ll check them but rarely use them.
Lastly, I added sumo Springs to the RV before this trip from Dallas to Florida. I have no idea the difference but on the GenY website, there’s a video with one of the Brinkly owners who highly recommend them. They were cheap and easy to install.
