Thanks again for the shout out! If anyone see's my video of the Switch. Keep in mind it does come with pegs, I just didn't put them on. I changed the seat right away with a Cinema Waxed Black. I think I'll be switching to pivotal at some point. The stealth is nice and all, but from a mechanic standpoint the pivotal is just easier to work with. I also have since changed the stem to a black Shadow Matt Ray stem. I'll be getting either Kink Rex or Demolition Markit bars since the front load lowered my bars and they already felt a little low for my old body. All in all it's a really responsive bike. I'd like to point out that I have yet to run into a problem with the slack in the freecoaster. There is I think 10 or 11 catch points, which is a bit higher than some of the other cheaper freecoasters. And as you'll see from the video, the entire bike looks black until the sun catches it at the right spot, then you see the red. However, I will say the Subrosa Letum is a better deal for the money. I just didn't like the colorway. That's really the only reason I didn't get it over the Switch. I'm really happy with the bike and I think anyone else who gets it will too. Stay safe!
@@Dougsterbob Hey, I'm 220 pounds weight and want to do some freeriding on the bmx Can you tell me names of several models BMX I can buy and they won't die under me easily? I'm living in midle Asia and not all models are selling here, so if you can tell me some of them, maybe I can find it in my shops?
A younger shredder down at my local park has a 2022 Switch. I've ridden it a handful of times and was impressed with it overall. As Doug said, it's got a short backend but doesn't come with a half-link chain to dial it in perfectly. To match that missed opportunity, the Switch also doesn't come with hub guards to go along with the provided pegs. They're 2 quick upgrades I'd recommend when purchasing the bike, even asking for the half-link chain to be thrown in for free if you're to buy the hub guards as well as the bike in a single purchase. I was impressed with the amount of slack the Mission freecoaster is factory set at. It's about as minimal as you can get on a typical clutch system and engaged smoothly without a loud crack. The young bloke who owns the Switch blew out the bottom headset sealed bearings in less than a week but I assume that was from his headset being loose. IDK, but think that was probably the case.
Just ordered a 22 Switch for under $450 with Labor Day sale. Was going with a 23 Whip but figured the quality score at that price was too insanely good to not go with the Switch over the Whip.
that extra .25 on the whip is for XL riders, if you are a Large, I think the switch is perfect. I returned my whip for the switch. The only down part is having to wait for the bike to arrive at the bike mart since it's on backorder
Hey Douglas i bought the KINK WHIP XL 2022 and it is the best BMX i've owned so far. Very solid parts, and it is a beast on the dirt jump section. Was between the WHIP and the SWITCH but i am 6'2" so i went with the WHIP. Thanks again!
Good value in comparison to some others out there for park and street, however being near the weight limit you mention, will check out the two others. Thanks for the recommendations.
Hey Doug, I like the switch and I want to get it but your app says the weight limit is under 190lbs and I am 240 but when I see the bikes that say there is any weight they are all 21 inch top tubes and this is too big for me. I’m about 5’10. So could I buy this bike and not break it or should I get the wtp battleship which is my size?
I think it depends on how long want to ride.. if you're 100% sure you want to ride forever, get the battleship. If you just want to check the sport out, get the Kink switch..
Hey Douglas, I was considering the switch but im 6'2 and it only comes in 20.75" toptube, would you recommend getting the kink whip xl and buying a freecoaster wheel ?
The Revolver is certainly a nice ride but I feel the Indy's lack of chain tensioners pushes me away. The Indy's weight is insane, like at least 200g lighter than every other frame. 400g+ lighter than my Tall Order 315!
@@kirkwickham3336 I mainly cruise around with the revolver. Got some 10" tall bars and 33mm fork. Also I got a quick release clamp for quick adjustment. Tall post for chilling, and slammed post for riding. And as for the Hyper, yes it sucks that it doesn't come with chain tensioners. Makes no sense. I emailed them about that. Never got back to me, but maybe in the future. But I did fix that issue with Salt Pro chain tensioners. Works great.
Yes they do but shipping bill vary. The best thing to do is put the items in your cart and go to checkout and it will calculate the shipping cost for you
I would like to buy this for an 11-year-old child, I don't want to buy a beginner bike and then have to spend another 500 bucks on a "better" bike, do you recommend starting with this? this would be his second bike though.
I watch most of your videos, and I'm still struggling to find a bike for me b3cause you hardly recommend a bike. Because once you review you say you recommend another different bike I go to that video and you don't recommend it and recommend a different one than I got to that video and it's the same...you don't recommend it but you recommend looking at another bike video...

@@Dougsterbob Took a pretty decent fall last week. I figured I could just do the stuff I was doing 20 years ago. The ground disagreed lol.

Kink switch or wtp justice?
Very good I like Kink bikes, why when you talk about Sunday bikes, you don't mention the Sunday Street Sweeper, which is under $1,000!
I love my street sweeper
i got it on sale and got it as the same price as the whip😁
Its 15% off now on source bmx... just copped it

@@kirkwickham3336 as for it's weight. Yes, it's extremely light. I can do manuals and bunny hops with ease.
