Just turned 50 a few weeks ago. I checked this bike out today at the local BMX shop in El Salvador. I'm 5'11, weigh 220. I'll be purchasing this bike this week since I've been wanting to get back into riding bikes like i used to in the late 80s. I'm excited to get back into the sport. Right off the bat, I'll be changing the sprocket, tires, chain, and eventually the cranks, pedals. I'm looking forward to customizing the bike. Thanks for the great reviews Doug. This bike in El Salvador cost $765. Everything is more expensive here.
How has the bike been , I’m 5”11 and have been thinking about this bike , I’m 35 and haven’t rode for a few years , I rode a lot when I was younger like 10-20 years old so it’s been awhile and a lot has changed , so I’m looking to get back into it for fun , I don’t do anything crazy , maybe hop down a 6 stair or a little grinding but nothing crazy I’m old now , so just wanted your feedback to see how it’s been working out for you
Just picked up Demolition Momentum Tire - Black / 2.2" and Shadow Interlock Supreme Chain - Black and the pegs and hub guards. What are a few options for some nice light cranks? if it wasnt for me watching your videos i may not have a bike or a different brand. THANKS! 40yo rider
I give the 22 Kink Whip XL an 8.25 for MTB trails. At least flow trails. prob a 9 if you upgrade the rims, tires, and pedals, and switch to a spline drive front sprocket.
imaging not being in the bmx nerd discord 🤡

Great video. Why is the 21” tt only for 6’ or taller and how come on many websites it says shorter riders can ride a 21” tt?

If you were 5’11” would you recommend getting the Whip XL or just the regular 20.5” TT?
Or neither and find a 20.75” TT bike? Thanks!!
if you're 5' 11", the 21" option will fit you good!!
Thank you for the speedy reply good sir
@@Dougsterbob how about at 5’10 at 200lbs. 20.5 or 21”?
@@mmedia5727 What did you go with? I'm around that size and can't decide.
What chain and sprocket would u recommend for 200lb+ riders
Best video yet bro !!

Im 6' 4" and 300lbs trying to avoid going over $500. Is it possible?
i don’t this so man
I’m 5’11” and weigh 225lb
What is your opinion on the rant twin peaks forks
just ordered this one, definitely feel like it's a good fit (but I'm also an idiot(?) and ordered a 2022 Stolen Sinner FC)
I'm 5.8, is it to long for me?
Hay man has anything changed with the new 2025
S&M tall boy…22 inch TT and S&M ATF XL FRAME also 22 TT
this is the perfect size.
I’m 225 pounds 😢is it kool for me
Yes, but typically if you weigh over 200 pounds the components that come with this bike since they’re not aftermarket won’t last a really long time
@@Dougsterbob so what bike do u recommend me the 2023 or the 2022 and why?
Just buiit full aftermarket from ground up
Do tall order
Ew why orange? lol
I know I am probably going to get a different bike because of it
