Its an Eligibility test for life science.we require minimum a year for preparation and we never get a permanent job . Since job opportunities for life science should become wide .apart from eligibility test research knowledge and publication plays essential role.
So the thing is the syllabus and question paper can be modified as it is soo vast .,
Or it can be segregated to each life science discipline like seperate syllabus for Biotechnology, Biochemistry , Microbiology etc..,

sir, what about the candidates who have already qualified in net lectureship 2017 and not started ph.d till now? because in lifesciences getting a ph.d guide itself is a big task

UGC can conduct all University exams. One India One Exam.
What about the Medium of Instruction ? UGC NET questions are in English & Hindi whereas State Universities conduct their Tests in English & State Official Languages so UGC NET from now on be conducted in 22 Official Languages ?
Satisfactory decision I think if there is no need for PhD entrance,,,, only NET score is sufficient. But if they are inclining candidates towards PhD,,,, should HIKE IN FELLOWSHIP to atleast 60-65K,,,, current stipend is not enough at all,,,,,, This should be necessarily done. Another one,,,, AGE RELAXATION of 1 yr for general candidates....

What about NE slet for appointment of assistant professor
If i applied in 1st category means i got eligible for both jrf and asst professor . In 2nd category, eligible for asst professor and admission to phd and in 3rd category eligible only for phd admission...what my doubt is ..if i applied in 1st category means there is certain cutoff marks to get eligible. If my marks wont get eligible for jrf means what they will do ? They made me not eligible for both jrf and asst professor or only jrf and eligible as asst professor...how they will give the result?

There will be no age limit for JRF after achieving high score...suppose candidates is of 30 years old and he or she has ace the exams with high score..that candidate is elligible for JRF...age limit doesn't matter ...
