could bad valve stem seals be the cause of wet carbon spurting out of the exhaust when warming up an older vehicle? [looks like wet black splatter marks on the ground.] have seen this from @stevenofpa 1991 Jeep Wrangler
This is same symptoms with the rings
True that bit you could verify if rings are bad through a hot combustion chamber compression and or Blowby test.
