My brother I am so proud of you, I would like to hear you no longer say MY Crohn's that makes it sound like you have ownership of the very thing you do not want to have. Thank you for sharing your journey most appreciate you you're awesome.
Ken, thank you for the encouragement, my friend. I truly appreciate it. You are 100% right I need to stop taking ownership over my Crohn’s the very thing I’m getting rid of. I will work on it, I had the same problem by using the word suffer when it came to my sight loss, which is not the reality. I appreciate all your insight and support
Wow, Jason, that's incredible transformation. It's also so sweet to hear you mentioned prom and chaperoning. I'm sure you had a blast. Now I can't wait to see their pictures.
Wow, you can really see the difference in your face between the before and now photos! I appreciate that you share the good and the not great yet details of your journey. I think there are ups and downs for everyone during the 90 day adjustment. I love the grading system because I would probably have given it a B+ around the same time. There were so many benefits but not perfect. I ran into a big problem with constipation right after the keto flu phase. That's the same thing my dad ran into that caused him to stop. I'd never been constipated a day in my life! It was so scary! At about 10 months in, I now have a strategy that works if my digestion slows too much. Very excited to report that we just added another item to the 'non-scale victories' column for my husband! He has lost his seasonal allergies! Every year when our cars turn yellow outside, he is absolutely miserable. Not a sniffle, not a sneeze, nor a watery eye yet this year! Thanks for the great video update!
Than you for your update Ellie! You always give great insight, and I love that you and your husband are finding Victories😎 This has been such a fun journey and especially when I get to hear everyone’s stories.
For three years,I've been trying to get my type 2 diabetic mother to at least cut out refined/processed carbs. She's in her 70's and I love her dearly, but she cannot unlearn all the bad diet info we've been getting for the past 40 years. She refuses to stop eating breakfast cereals in low fat milk and bread. Her doctor told her she has fatty liver disease. My mother may have a small glass of wine a year, if that. So she tells me she's going to cut the fats out of her diet. I got so mad she almost cried. I didn't yell at her but I told her straight up, whatever "studies" that show a low-fat diet does anyone any good is a lie, that's paid for by big food." I get it, she's carb addicted as hell, but it breaks my heart that she's too dim to see that her diet is making her sick, yet she continues to cling to bad information that has never worked for anyone...ever.
I feel for you....Unfortunately, there is not much you can do at this point my friend. Your relationship is now what is a priority as you move forward, Just know... everything is as it should be and make the most of the quality time you have left.
I struggle with the same issues, as it pertains to my family. I can position forward and try to be the best example I could be. I hope one day they see that this is not just a but a lifestyle that could heal your body. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and wish you the best for you and your mother. Keep me posted.
@@independentlyblind5816 and that's another thing. In the three years I mentioned, I myself have gone from a fasted glucose in the upper 120's to about 90 most days, and I've dropped over 50lbs. All through a sensible whole-foods diet (and intermittent fasting) I'm a walking advertisement for how to eat for good health. And I'm her own son 😭😔😭
Looking great brother! Love your channel since we started on the same day! I have this weird, parasocial relationship with you through this shared experience with carnivore! You’re looking great, my friend!
Wow! when you put the week one against now it's like looking at two different people. Congratulations on the progress you have made to date. Well I had my first 'cheat day' last Wednesday; I started the day with muesli to which I added chia seeds; hemp seeds and flax seeds and used kefir instead of milk. In the evening I went out to an Indian Restaurant with my son and some friends and although I had poppadoms and naan bread, I managed to order a tandori mixed grill which was totally in keeping with the carnivore diet (well, apart from some of the seasonings they used). I then did a 48hr fast to purge my body. I had a great day but slipped easily back into the carnivore routine straight after my fast and have had no cravings. I have tried salted pork rinds as a snack but find it plays havoc with water retention. As of this morning I have lost 20.5lbs out of my total goal of 70lbs. I certainly have more energy and am sleeping better although I still have problems getting to sleep. The doctor said a lot of my problems could be weight related so hopefully things will continue to improve. I just wish I had found this lifestyle years ago. You are an inspiration my friend, keep to the path and the goal will be reached.
Ian always look forward to your updates. Even though you had a cheat day you were able to bounce back. Everyone’s journey is different and mental health is key. I am so inspired that you were able to have that moment. Knowing myself I’m not ready but maybe one day. Thank you for the encouragement and the inspiration we got this!
I am so glad things are going well for you. I hope your Crohn’s disease will get under control. The pictures are awesome. Definitely can see the change. I went to a carnivore meat-up in Wisconsin. Kerry Mann, JT, and Adam were there. There were about 40-50 -people there. I am going to do a 2 day fast, my first one. I’ve been at a weight loss stall for a couple months. I also have this itching in my liver area. No one can tell me what is going on. It makes me tired. So, I thought if I fasted that might work its way out. It feels like if you have a bruise that is healing, only on the inside. Drives me crazy. Then there is the pain in my mid-back area that has been there for years. I tell my family “when I die have them autopsy that area and find out what that was” LOL. Also, in the community at Ken Berrys site, you can find people near you that are on carnivore. There might be a meat-up in your area. Or you could start one if there are enough people. Take care and see you in your next video.🥰 Jill One more thing, you might want to take some Lugals Iodine. Ken Berry did an interesting interview with Dr David Brownstein on iodine deficiency. Do a search on RUclips “Ken Berry and iodine” that was crazy. The majority of the population is iodine deficient. Our body needs iodine in every cell. Check it out you will be floored.
Jill your Amazing and such an inspiration. Keep me posted on your progress and as always thank you for all your insight. I will look into Iodine and would love to attend a meat up as well😎

@@williamcochrane8469 That's exactly what I've been telling myself. She's my mother and I don't want to be mad at her. I want us to be friends.
