One thing to note about Ruby falling behind the others: she isn’t the only one slowing down. As Ruby slows, so does everyone else. Yes they’re picking up the pace, but they aren’t actually going any faster despite that. They’re going at Ruby’s pace.
Which implies to me that no matter how eager the others are, they can’t progress without Ruby, or they just simply won’t leave her behind.
Some people theorized that the missing "11" on the clocks refers to the saying 'the eleventh hour' i.e the last possible moment be it's too late. For Jaune, I'd wager his eleventh hour refers to the time before Pyrrha's fight (not the time exactly, but the general situation) with Cinder, where he was powerless to do anything to help. I'd imagine that moment would still be eating at him inside despite the time that past since then, as a result he hasn't move on internally, and still believes himself to be incapable of helping when it counts.
There's also the possibility that failing to stop Cinder and sacrificing Penny was a breaking point. It's possible that he'd come to terms with not saving Pyrrha in his own way, but having it happen again by failing to save Penny brought everything back to the surface, but now 10x worse. It's also very possible he's never gotten over it, and has just completely given up on himself ever being the hero he has always wanted to be due to failing twice. It was clear in volume 4 he was at least determined to make sure what happened to Pyrrha never happened again, or at least he was still determined to try. The Jaune we see in the credits seems like he's lost that.
@phoenix/night 9:30 I believe the missing 11th hour represent the times Jaune was too late to save anyone.
He didn’t pay attention while guarding during the aura transfer, wasn’t there to protect Pyrrha from Cinder, his message to atlas was cutoff and he end up having to kill Penny in a losing battle.
He failed at being protecter he want to be.
Excellent note with his message being cut off. That is probably also an enormous source of regret on his mind. They still followed the course even when it was clear there was a disruption.
I wonder if Blake being at the front means she's taking up being the 'interim' leader. She has the qualities of one, and that's no surprise given who raised her/the positions she's been in most of her life. Second to Adam. Helping her dad. An example of a leader that fails when losing his direction (a good example of what NOT to do), and an example of a leader that inspired.
Honestly, Blake becoming leader would be fitting since Blake and Ruby have become the other V1 selves. Ruby has now become disillusioned with the world with her bright eyes idealism slowly diminishing while Blake have regained the idealism and optimism which she lost.
It’s also really ironic how out of team RWBY, Blake so far has been the calmest and most relax with not as much pressure and stress compared to the rest, especially Ruby. On top of that, she’s the first to suggest they’re in a fairy tale despite her in volume 1 saying to Ruby that life isn’t like the fairytales in stories.
Whoever this Alice character seems to be the leader now and Neo is either controlling her or is her and using the heroes. Maybe leading them to the doom. Maybe Blake on the lead means she figures it out first.
I could see that happening (she has read the fairy tale that they're in)
That as well as ruby even though she shows that she wants to get out but in reality she’s tired and wants to escape reality
I loved how we got a Great little Look at older Outfits of team RWBY
Yeah, it’s pretty great to see
9:21 I think the clocks are referential to the White Rabbit, who first seen by Alice to be in a hurry because he feared he would be late.
Or is it a reference to being stuck just before tea time?
Considering how the conception of V9 was something planned from the very start, it makes him being a fan of pumpkin Pete’s all the more hilarious
My opinion is that Jaune is the March Hare, but previously to that, he was indeed the White Rabbit, but Penny's death broke him, so he went mad, like the March Hare, and is trapped in memories, same as the Hare is trapped before the Tea time.
my thoughts would be maybe timee stopped in the real world like alice in the wonderland
I commented this elsewhere but I think the phrase “the eleventh hour” meaning the last possible moment has weight for Juane. Either that he missed his or that it’s coming for him soon, whatever it may be.
So much symbolism in the intro alone has got my head spinning. If this world is of Neo's creation it makes me wonder how team RWBY escapes. I was personally hoping that this Alex character or maybe someone else in there would be a human magic user from Salem/Ozma's original time. That seems unlikely now. A few more things, in the picture of Alex, there is another person in the background, also the rabbit seems to have been associated with Jaune since Pumpkin Pete
It's curious and pretty cool that Blake seems to be taking charge and becoming leader if only for a little while.
I really hope that we learn more about the Arc family history with how Jaune was being shown in the trailer and theories. I hope he finds some truth about his lineage. A theory very little talked that i think it should be more, is that his ancestors, until his great great grandfather, would have served Salem for generations and stuff. Until something had happened, he changed sides or something else.
I think the pre-chorus of the 2nd verse is actually referring to Neo. Family estranged: referencing the parents she no longer has contact with. Hatred won: she was more concerned about hurting Ruby while they were falling. And the last two lines? Neo wants what she had back in V2. She wants to go back to crimes with Roman, happily ruling the streets with someone she could fully trusts. When she didn’t have to constantly watch her own back and vengeance didn’t rule her life. I think this song might be talking to Neo and Ruby at the same time. I can’t wait to see where this volume goes
Hope that's neo
you mean the parents she got killed?
@@TheMhalpern yep
Judging how Ruby is slowly falling behind her friends it looks like she’s slipping more into despair.
Another way to interpret it is that her team is following the shadow/Alex and she feels she’s being left behind/replaced.
I pray that Ruby gain back her will to move forward and never giving up.
❤️🌹🥀❤️
@@josephsuh5204 You’re right she needs to let go of the past and move forward to stop Salem and save Remnant.
@@josephsuh5204 You’re right she needs to let go of the past and move forward to stop Salem and save Remnant.
Well this arc BETTER not end with despair
But rather new found hope for her
It’s about time there was something like that’
When Ruby cried sat against the tree, it started to rain. What if wonderland is made from the psyche of people stranded there. Neo now being the mad matter, what if the world we see is made up from her psyche and emotions. This would nicely close Neos story in the show as she's been an awkward side character ever since they killed off Roman. I think Neo will remain in Wonderland.
Rwby and Jaune are going to get emotionally exhausted in this volume
...... I hope my two favorite dorks make it out of this situation together.
Definitely
They both need to hug at the end of this volume :(
I have a LOT of thoughts on V9 opening but the thing I've been focusing on the most is how the mysterious girl (most likely Alyx from "The Girl who Fell Through the World") is paralleling Ruby and Neo. I have two main theories as to why this is.
1. Alyx may be serving as a cautionary tale for the person Ruby and Neo themselves may become if they don't end up confronting the emotional distress that's consuming them. After all, Alyx seems to have the playfulness that both Ruby and Neo themselves have.
2. If you keep in mind Oz description of the story ("A young girl flees the consequences of a choice, to a magical place. But, having never learned from her initial failure, she only succeeds in spreading it")
I think Neo represents Alyx in the sense that both of them will alter the Everafter for the worse.
After all, while Ruby will be going through her own trials, I don't see her taking out her frustrations on this new world. Neo on the other has no such remorse. And given how Neo is standing in front of pink flames at the bottom of the Everafter portrait before transitioning into Alyx, it further illustrates how Neo's actions will spread across the Everafter like wildfire.
I think you're onto something! I always applied Oz's statement to refer to Ruby in particular, but if Ruby and Neo are both in this dark shadow of Alyx, then it makes sense that these "initial failures" could refer to both of them. Ruby in not recognizing her actions, as well intentioned as they were, created a potentially worse situation, and if she fails to learn from the lessons of Atlas, she would be no better than Ironwood (I have only done what's best for Remnant!), or Cinder (Just to fail again...). Neo, in her lust for revenge and assisting Cinder, only succeeded in spreading that hate and mistrust.
Ruby facing upward and the tear drop falling from her face makes it looks like the HARDEST ALBUM cover ever!
Damn, I didn't even notice that the two comets were Jinn and Ambro's color. What if Ever After is where the spirits go when they're not in use?
An incredible detail I found in the opening is that the white rabbit that accompanies Jaune and the Jabberwalker look suspiciously similar to the gods of light and darkness respectively, and curiously, they also share characteristics with the god of animals.
I'm starting to think this could be the setting for a battle between the white rabbit and the nameless knight vs the Jabberwalker (and I might add Neo, though I think she'll be the mad hatter).
10:00 ->The 11th hour is more of a narrative plot device, rather than being a reference to Alice in Wonderland. In a typical hero's journey, the moment *seems* darkest, but this is where the hero saves the world, defeats the bad guy and gets the girl.
You can see on the clock that it's 2:00. For Jaune, that moment where he could have saved the day came by and he failed to grasp it (or perhaps it never existed at all)
Having no 11th hour means no there is no heroic save at the last moment. For Jaune, the world (Beacon/Remnant) is doomed, the bad guy (Cinder) won and the girl (Pyrrha/Penny) died.
I wonder if Neo will return to her roots as Trivia.
Ruby might be at a point where she gives up and team will have to get her back into the fight.
I'm gonna call it now: The Girl Who Fell Through the World is actually going to be evil. And I think she'll probably try to possess Ruby or become her via doppelganger shenanigans.
I did see on Twitter someone pointed out that the clock frame woth Jaune is a callback to when Jaune killed Penny in v8ep14 10m 12s. While Penny's arm was pointing at a 2 like a clock arm does
I’ve seen people also point out how between the clock motif and him being a fill in for the White Rabbit, it signifies how he’s always to late to save someone.
*HOLY SH*T*
@@pedanticat9479 tbf he's managed to save Weiss twice...kinda. That's gotta count for something.
@@NRG-REC except he didn't in the end, she fell before him.
Great breakdown! It's amazing how much meaning you can unlock going through these intro sequences frame by frame and lyric by lyric. It all just goes by so fast when you watch it normally.
I feel as though it's very much foreshadowing the potential for the person in Ruby's body to not be Ruby. Some new personality might take over by the time she leaves. I can't say if it'll actually happen or not, but I expect it to be a possibility on the table.
I mean we're in fairy tale land, I assumed it was someone shapeshifting and stealing her identity.
Maybe alluding to the movies where Alice has to find her "muchness"
I hope to god I pray It’s not.
Perhaps the scene with Alex and crescent rose could be like what happens in the Narnia story where even though they entered the world before the other characters they end up there either during or after them. I feel that Ruby is definitely gonna suffer either a breakdown or a severe identity crises from either thing she has been through. The Jaune and Neo could show the opposite ends from suffering trauma where one is able to “rebuild” themself where the other loses themself to it. Course 1 thing to be possibly concerned about is what could be Jaune surrounded by fire is the JNPR death theory.
This truly was quite a Opening and might be my favorite now too, I hope it will be accurate to what we can expect from the Volume.
Theory: the new girl is Penny/Penny's body given new life, looks, and identity. Whatever change/effect the EverAfter is going to have on our Heroes didn't encounter any resistance with Penny's body and thus changed it as it fell and or those glowing spheres Ruby saw while falling are souls awaiting new lives and Penny's body absorbed one of them on the way down.
I feel so so bad for Ruby, this poor girl
having to see the opening for Volume 9 was interesting and all, but seeing Ruby in that state, makes me quite concerned, but I have faith that she will pull through this depression of hers, this trial will help her get her light back, cause we need her to get her fighting spirit back, so she can't let this stress, anxiety and depression stop her from getting back home with everyone else, as we've gotta have faith that she will pull through this trail, along with the others.
I think the girl is crescent rose given a humanoid form because Ruby used to love her weapon so much when she was still an innocent girl and Alix might be trying to reach out to Ruby to remind her what made her the person she used to be.
It’s amazingly well done and the hints of what is to come is very eye opening
If all these lyrics are Neo focused. Then why would Neo be mad that a world rejected her when she steal and kills people all over Remnant? What choice do people have if you do stuff like that?
@@kokayinewsome9308
Which came first? The world hating her? Or her life of crime? I'm not excusing her actions, but something drove her to it.
@@rebekahstockwell8706 the world didn't know her. In the book she was a seen and not heard child. So much so she was literally mute. Roman Holiday paints the picture that she got tired of being pushed around by her father and neglected and her mother was complacent. She turned to crime to act out. Thrills. Giving in to her inner hedonist. Roman encouraged it and they went all Clockwork Orange gangs on the towns. Got mixed up with mobsters and ultimately became murders and robbers.
@@kokayinewsome9308
As a child, you see the world through your parents' eyes because it's all you know. Since her parents were so terrible to her, especially her father, I can see why she would feel this way about the world. Even in the book, the first night when she went out on her own while her parents were hosting a party the girls that she ran into bullied her. She wasn't commiting a crime at that time, she was just trying to get away from them and they harassed her.
@@rebekahstockwell8706 I understand that but Neo knows the only reason team RWBY even knows her is because of the crimes she's done. She can't pretend Torchwick, cool tho he may have been, didn't deserve to die for all that havoc he did before in the airships and all he did in his life. Karma. It's the same for her. She will likely die at the end of this arc and she will have no one to blame but herself.
The number 11 is sometimes seen as a spiritual number. It can mean "you are going to do great things", "you are going to find enlightenment/your purpose in life" and "you are going to help others find their destiny".
I think all those things can relate to Jaune! :D
6:42 just for this, the Cheshire Cat is only on his own side. I think this image is just a reference from the book where the Cheshire Cat appears behind the Queen of Hearts and makes fun of her
19:25 yeah & if Something happens to Yang ruby is gonna do the same thing she did in vol 3 finale When cinder killed Pyrrha in front of Ruby she let out Silver wave so big god tier big she turned a full wyvern into stone before knowing about her eyes with Cinder caught in it & from the aftermath she lost her arm & eye to whatever ruby did to her & ruby almost did it again in vol 5 so if they get back to Remnant they face Cinder, salem, & the grimm & some a hole reason Cinder kills yang in front of ruby (needing a reminder of vol 3) she'll send the same wave so big it consumes her again, Salem, & the Grimm they have even Salem will by feared by this.
Neopolitian is the madhatter of RWBY. Pretty interesting implications
"The eleventh hour" is related typically to the savior or addition to the cast right before the climax, which could relate to Juane not feeling like he is even a hero who can defeat the Jabberwok /Cinder and thus he might purposefully not reconnect with the cast until; the end
I can easily say this is one of my favorites. The music, the visuals, everything about it was just so fascinating and amazingly well done. Really happy someone pointed out the two other blue "clouds?" also falling down. I completely forgot to mention it in my own reaction lol Can't wait to watch more of this volume!!
16:00 maybe they back in their world but only they body and their mind in a other world makes by neon for to make hes feel safe
Don’t forget too Ruby had her younger self in the trailer asking her “who are you going to be?” Also i think you’re right that time doesn’t make sense here. And I think the clocks almost remind me of the white rabbit who was running late but it always appeared like his watch was never working (or working properly? ) a maybe a bit of a cross between the nameless knight and the white rabbit
I have a feel that if Ruby does end up losing/shedding her identity i have a feeling that the ribbon girl is gonna try to take her place
please hope not
I hope not, because Ruby is still main character. ❤🌹🥀❤️
Maybe the ribbon girl went crazy because she could never leave and now is trying to steal Ruby's friends because she has nothing left. She wants to use them to get out. And Neo will try to kill Ruby while she's isolated.
@@kokayinewsome9308 that might be a good theory right there.
maybe they back in their world but only they body and their mind in a other world makes by neon for to make hes feel safe
Watching that opening was like seeing modern art thrown at me along with an interesting plot mixed with a cliffhanger. It's a very different and amazing op
There was a comment that there are 9 shadows behind Neo. Something to keep in mind with Wonderland is card games. There are 9 number cards per suit if you are not counting Aces.
one thing i noticed is that as team rwby is walking across the pop-up picture book Ruby gets further and further away since her pace has considerably slowed down quite a bit and I do believe the new girl will be accompanying team rwby while ruby is looking like she will be going off on her own
cause she has a heavy burden
I've always said a perfect or flawless character is boring and has no worth. They can't grow or improve like a flawed character. Ruby finally changing from always perky and confident to "this" actually makes me interested in her trial here. It's been a treat to see her finally brought low since Salem put her in her place
The thing is that this darker side of her character has been visible since V4 (the letter at the end of the volume, hearing Pyrrha in her head, not helping Jaune in his time of need), expressed again in V6 (Notice how quickly her mind strayed to the dark in trying to use her Silver Eyes), and her carelessness in the Atlas Arc showed a fraying psyche, in effect she and Ironwood both failed for similar reasons. They both thought they knew what was best for Atlas and could find no room to compromise.
Now we come to Volume 9 where Ruby's failures, starting with Penny's death are eating away at her. Forcing her to re-evaluate herself and her self-worth. To me this is exactly what I've been waiting for in regards to Ruby's character and I am overjoyed to see it happening.
Great video. The 'eleventh hour' is usually the point of no going back, the last moment. Might be of some significance, but I can't put it together just yet.
Family estrange well if we think about the Xiao Long- Brawen- Rose family there are 6 of them. Summer is dead, Ruby think her Uncle Qrow died in Atlas cause remember team RWBY doesn't know he's alive and Qrow doesn't know Team RWBY is alive. Ruby hasn't seen her Dad Tai in like a year or two and Raven well Ruby never knew Raven. So that just leaves Yang so yeah if you don't count Ruby she has 5 family members but only has one with her and despite their love for each remember Yang called out Ruby last volume on her leadership. Her last real family with her the women who raised her basically told her I don't believe and trust in you as much as I used too which would hurt.
Oof,I forgot about that…
@@wolfstarconvoy7756 Forgot what my guy?

Yang calling out Ruby leader ship, that probably going to come up at some point in the volume
@@wolfstarconvoy7756 Maybe who knows but I'm sure Ruby will go back to that moment and question herself more.
I hope ruby gets back her hope she shed her ideal self and be her real self.
"This way I'm sure"
"Okay I'm almost certain that last time we went to the left"
"I've been down this way a million times, it always takes me to the same place"
"No, that's not the right way"
"So, no way, we should not turn back, we need to go in that direction"
"You're just gonna get yourself hurt, you're gonna get yourself killed"
"You have to turn back"
"I'm not lost!"
"Don't give up"
-> Those seem to be the phrases said in the tangled mess of words after the guitar solo in the extended version of the opening song. My theory is that the Ever After reflects the strongest state of mind of the people here; so as long as Ruby feels lost, she cannot find her way. She cannot "lead" both figuratively and metaphorically, she has to be guided, whether by Little or someone else.
I pretty much agree with you on the fact these lyrics could apply to Neo. In fact, to me, these lyrics are mirroring Ruby and Neo: "estranged family" could reference WBY, cause as we've seen Ruby is more and more apart from them. At some point she might stop seeing them as her "found family". For the part about revenge, maybe Ruby will actually understand what Neo fell like? Wanting revenge. On who... probably on Jaune.
What if neo used the staff of creation at some point to make a world that she could use to enact her vengeance? She can’t speak… but maybe her wish to do so was so absolute… that Ambrosius made it happen.
highly doubt that she has the staff her semblance maybe evolved.
If you remember in Volume 8, when Ruby & Yang broke off into teams, they didn't agree with their decisions, but decided to act accordingly. When they reunited, Ruby & Yang happily greeted each other, even after disagreeing. Yang & Ruby still have each other, as Yang pointed out that Ruby was her hero.
God I love neo just so much
Well if this world is the Alice world
What if Crescent rose ( Ruby weapon ) fall in a different time ( like in the past )
Also what if the clocks that behind Jaune have something related to time travel
Edit
I was right
John really travel throw time in never land
The 11th hour is usually told as the last possible time before it is too late.
also the dont give up line.
Why is no one talking about the foot steps on the left side of Alex when she wakes up I am the only person that noticed that..
I didn’t realize that till someone pointed it out on Tumblr earlier today 😅
@@pedanticat9479I'm pretty sure you can find them in the teaser or the trailer as well and since they didn't remove it from the opening it isnt a mistake that its there. I can only guess that what their trying to tell us is that someone's on the island with Alex but the question is who..
@@curtistheuniverse6322 There is a reflection in the mirror behind Alyx of what looks like a young person with glasses and similar complexion. Some people are thinking that she might be looking for her brother.
Saw someone point out the cat is following little in some scenes
Possibly only this volume? Given it’s 10 episodes I doubt it. Ruby losing hope is my fear. But the volume better not end with that, instead it better end with renewable hope
i hopes so too
You know... I don't think it's a coincidence that Alyx's name was mentioned first in Roman Holiday... Sure, we might have heard the tale of the girl who fell through the world in volume 8 but her name was not mentioned.
I've been saying since volume 8 ended, this world is at the very least the next step in finding the relic of choice. I was confused by the those blue streams in the intro, I almost thought it might be Winter and Weiss, but it being the beings inside the relics make more sense. I'll say it again... Ozpin said that he made the relic of choice harder to find and that's the only reason Cinder didn't have it. All of the trailers and clues leading up to this volume have been about choices. The question "What are you?" leads to someone having to decide what they are. We know they're each going to have to face a trial by the tree.
Oh, this too... It's always worried me that Jaune had such a focus on Cinder because how did Joan of Arc die?... She was burned at the stake. If Jaune is the knight that we've been seeing (and he more than likely is), it really worries me that they're covered in flames...
I Definitely think most of this Volume is about Neo's story
"Alex" is a new Identity that Neo will have
Nahhhhh, Alyx is a completely separated character
This is probably my favorite OP song since V3, one of the best so far!
I also notice footprints next to cresant rose and alice
I honestly think your theory is spot on Except I think it's possible that this world was created by both Neo and Ruby. Considering Ruby crying caused it to rain. I mean there's still so much we don't know about silver eyed people and what all they are capable of doing considering they are widely connected to the Brother of Light. Perhaps their powers merge together. I'm saying this because Neo having the power to create an entire world and able to maintain it Is confusing without there being some other force in play.
Did you know in the intro Alex has silver eyes 🤨 suspicious
New favourite op!! Outstanding foreshadowing visuals and addicting song. already got me belting iinSIIIIIDE
One detail everyone seems to look over about this ,,queen of hearts" there is no hearts symbolism there is ,, Karo " symbol all over even in the character's eyes and soldiers chests .
I really think part of RWBYs quest will be to free Jaune from whatever trauma he's going through.
I'm very curious on Jaune story this arc
It's been a while since I saw any RWBY content then I was like, "Oh yeah, the hot guy from that RWBY channel" finally found it
judging by the patterns I think it's gonna be the queen of diamonds in RWBY, ofc still the equivelant of queen of hearts, but still different suit.
Is it just me who thinks the wild expression on Ruby's face when she turns from Alex looks like Cinder when she looks at Rhodes after killing her wicked stepmother?
Huh, how very interesting, honestly I am excited, way more excited than I ever have been for RWBY in awhile, i wonder what will happen next?
Here we go! Analyze time! Also yes, becoming my new favorite song ngl.

@phoenix/night: eleven hour is also a lowest point, so as I see this: Jaun isn't ready accept his failure, he stopped in to a moment when he is still not kill Penny.
God I’m so sad that the extended lyrics weren’t included cuz “How much I’d give to be happy without trying” is an incredible line that hits waaayyy too hard
One thing to note is that the gravity defying labyrinth, you can see doors/portals very similar to those present in the crossroads at the end of each of the paths. Maybe that’s some sort of world nexus, and how they’ll get back to remnant?
I think the volume 9 opening is hinting at is it will take Weiss, Blake, and Yang to save Ruby. Also Ruby mostly lost her way through all the despair she collected since the Vital Festival Tournament.
Volume 9 should be the redeeming season that after 3 RWBY was falling and Wonderland is so great and Neo is the best character
Lucky for the protagonists that this wonderland isn't more like the Wonderland from American Mcgee's Alice.
There’s another possibility regarding the knight in the flames. It’s not a very pleasant one but it definitely could apply. A lot of us believe the knight is Jaune. Assuming that: he’s based on Joan of Arc. Does anyone remember what her fate was?
Let me refresh your memory: she was burned alive at the stake as a heretic despite all she had done for her people. Soooo…. could this be foreshadowing a similar entrapment for Jaune?
Just because a fairy tail character or historical figure died the way they did doesn't mean that's actually how they'll die or even die at all. Pyrrha for example wasn't shot through the Achilles tendon she was shot through the leg but not the tendon, and even if Pyrrha was it did not kill her, what killed Pyrrha was Cinder shooting her through the head, so Pyrrha wasn't killed like her mythological counterpart.
@@Vandalieu Just because things don’t happen EXACTLY the way they did in history doesn’t mean they can be discounted. Pyrrha getting shot through the ankle is a direct reference to her origin, even it’s not exactly the same circumstances - and in the end, she still ended up dying, partially due to the fact she’d been immobilized by that injury.
I never said “this scenario MUST happen,” regarding Jaune, I was merely pointing out given his character’s origins, it’s definitely in the realm of plausibility they could go that direction.
@@StarcraftSquall that's not the only reason. The characters in the show are often very different or have completely different fates from the ones they are inspired by. Leo went from a brave and courageous man to a sniveling coward that eventually got killed, Ironwood went from a well meaning if flawed individual to a despicable tyrant who threw his heart away and eventually died because of it, Ozpin has actual magical powers, Pyrrha is honest and humble the complete opposite of Achilles, there are many ways that characters have completely different fates from their counterparts. Yes her getting shot in the leg is a reference but it's not what killed her, nor was it ever located where Achilles got shot. The writers will often times add little nods to the source materials, but that's it.
I very much doubt anyone will ever die the way that they did outside of rwby because outside of namesake little nods not a single person is in anyway similar to the ones they are inspired by.
You do also realize that Yang and Ruby will most likely die as well, Yang be mauled to death by three Ursa because that's how she ended up in the original story, and Ruby eaten by a beowulf because some of the original versions of hers ended up with no one rescuing her. So unless you believe that Ruby is going to be eaten by a beowulf or Yang mauled and killed by three Ursa, the death theory is trash.
I just thought about Raven still having a portal tied to Yang and my head exploded. 🤯
If you watch closely where ruby is falling though the rabbit hole, Alice goes through, pause the video. when you see the painting of Alex, look closely, and she’s not alone. the shadow in the back of the mirror looks like professor ozpin as a young boy.
I am so looking forward to Jaune's arc lol see what I did there
I think the clock could represent two things 1 time may have Frozen and he is the only one who is able to walk. 2 the clock could be some sort of porter that lead someone to his past so if Jaune is hanging with neo he might have found another to understand who neo was just like how Alice saw the hatter family.
I think the lyrics are about Neo only and ruby would still have hope
Oh most of these lyrics are almost certainly for Ruby. The sense of (Trusted love) (Hatred won) in Ruby's mind is why she failed. (Granted she didn't actually "trust love" she was immediately suspicious of Ironwood's intentions.) Also "what I would give in exchange to be happy without trying." Sounds like textbook Ruby, she puts on a mask of happiness, forcing herself, because it doesn't come naturally to her, those she loses doesn't make her stronger, they only bind her deeper as she fails to grieve and recognize her failures.
This is why I am so looking forward to this volume as we are reaching that breaking point.
@@HighPriestFuneral I still think Ruby will still win I just know it
2:52 waaaaaaay waaaay long ago when ozpin got incarnated into Oscar. Someone asked oz about whether his staff was a relic and he mentioned that he “Hid it VERY WELL”. So it may not be in beacon for all we know. It could be in the ever after
6:23 Jayne killing the jabberwockey may be the push he needs to get out of the slump that he’s in. Teach him that time is neither on his side nor against him. He’s gotta learn that sometimes things happen and be shouldn’t dwell on his mistakes negatively but instead think of what he would do differently the next time
6:25, don't know if that's the Queen of Hearts per say. In the second Wonderland book we are introduced to The Red Queen, who is the queen chess piece. Though the two have been treated as the same character in some adaptations despite being completely unrelated in the source material.
One thing I noticed is that during the sequence when Ruby is falling it starts with the nameless knight who is most likely Jaune before ending with Neo at the bottom, just like how in the opening scenes we first see Jaune and then we see Neo.
at 9:23 two of the clockhands look like spears, kind of like Phyrras spear. (Not sure if I got the name right.)
we see NEo while ruby is Falling.......
I have the addition with the information you gave, that if it is Trivia, fractured from Neo, she may be lost or forgetful and in that state and Neo’s anger and focus on Ruby, Trivia will be taking on the characteristics of Ruby. She has Crescent Rose, she is at the lead of the group, its an echo of Ruby on the bridge. Just a thought that came to me while watching this.
Let's look at it this way.
I don't think Alyx is Neo, and Neo is Alyx.
I feel like, if we remember the story, The mad hatter's house burned down with his family in it, and who resembles the mad hatter the most? Neo, who helped the mad hatter through it all once she met him? Alice, or in this case, Alyx.
I think, the reason why Neo and Alyx have so much correlation into each other is because of the characters they allude to.
Now, about the world being relevant to Neo, let's recall one thing. Neo's imagination is one of the most "overactive" out of the cast, whatever she thinks can happen. And since her semblance works like magic, maybe the world amplified it. Maybe Neo's favorite book as Trivia was Alice in the wonderland, and this world, gave her the opportunity to exacerbate it.
Maybe the world saw Neo, as a catalyst of sorts to bring the fairy tale world into fruition, without changing itself too much. As she is the most creative and imaginative of all
Now, that could be a stretch. Maybe this wonderland has been around for a while. Which is why there's a system of a queen, lowly rats, raccoon pedlars. But, I still feel like Neo is going to play a tremendous role in this volume, and maybe be the key home
You know, when team rwby re arrive in Remnant. I kind of want it to play out like Endgame where Winter and remaining Huntsman are trying to defend against a swarm of Grim at Vacuo and team RWBY come back
You are good, entertaining, "educational" and interesting, I will research the topic.
Is this animie Gaming comics, or just waiting for him to grow a beard
i had the same kinda conclusions about Neo in this world, that she is the one running it or its a world of her creation
I would love to see a episode of RWBY Volume 9 where possibly maybe the Mad hatter or the Clock turns Wiess, Yang, and or also possibly Blake are turned back into either toddler's, and or also Babies again and it up to Ruby Rose has to become more confident and also responsible throughout thier Quest in this new Magically Challenging New World!
14:46 who is the person behind Alex in the photo they are covered in shadows
The missing 11 could be hinting that jaune won't be in vol 11 but will come back in 12. Possibly stays in wonderland to tie up loose ends or hold back some threat of sorts, and comes back in 12 stronger and or different from vol 9/10
CRWBY has pulled stunts like that before... "There was no sadness, no anger, no anything... then there was no one left." (Maria throws a book with VIII on it.) You might be onto something.
RWBY Volume 10 2024 hopefully it will get released for us!
In Alice in Wonderland, it is mentioned by the Mad Hatter that Time was offended by him, and stopped time in place a couple of minutes to tea time. Don't know if that ties into Jaune and the clock motifs, but perhaps he will request to pause his progress or be frozen in a moment, or can't progress further. Jaune struggled to overcome his lack of actions in saving Pyrrha, and now carries an even deeper burden for Penny's death. If he is the armoured knight, perhaps he is rewritten to be a figure who can protect others.
