How do you tag or notify the bike rental folks that a bike has bad brakes or other problems. Seems like some possible liability problems for them if there is no way to tag problems. Bad brakes, downhills, and dozens of people and pets that are positive they are the only ones out there. Common sense and wisdom over the years has taught me to have my head on a swivel in crowded areas.
When I’ve rented, there’s a message from the app asking about the rental. And if you rate it below 5 stars, it prompts for a reason you didn’t rate 5 stars. But you can also report the issue on the app and if it’s a serious problem like brakes, it will usually take the vehicle out of rotation.
After the end of the rental, I can submit a trouble report. I end up doing that often as these bikes are pretty beat up. On this one, when I parked, I also hit a special 'lock' on the bike rack that flagged the bike as broken (so no one else would use it)
