How to Add Or Overlay Tooltips To Any Area Within A Power BI Report

One of the techniques I used to create a one-page report for the Power BI Challenge is adding or overlaying tooltips to an image or element so a table can pop-out when you hover on it. It is a very useful technique. When used creatively, you can definitely build phenomenal reports.

We're not sure that's achievable right now, since tooltips shows the details for each line item level and not at a headers level. Rather you can create a note inside the text box and apply bookmarks to it.

i have a table where there are ratings for each name, the rating column named as monthly, quaterly and yearly each column has a separate comments column named as month_rating_comments, quarterly_rating_comments and so on , i want to create a table visual where if i hover on the specific rating it will show me only its particular comment using a tooltip

What I need though, is to have a page tooltip over a button. Is there a way we can have both the tooltip and the action (navigation) functionality?

As of now, Power BI doesn't have the functionality of showing Report Page as a tooltip under the buttons. Tooltips based on text or measure can only be used but not the entire report page for now.

when i try and do this my tooltip page is set to auto and i cant change it to product or brokers like you have. edit: figured it out you need tooltips on, on that report page you want to show
