Hi Shannon.good to know. Glad to see more videos. I have learned a lot. Thank you.
Shannon is the best!!!! Love watching you.
Hello Shannon - - - Looks like a very ingenious idea wish I had that years ago
putting door knobs on the cabinet's and drawers - like you I had made my own
jig also the holes became larger then the correct screw hole .
Happy to see you making videos again - keep them coming always enjoy watching them .
This video was very helpful. Who knows how long it would have taken me to figure out how to set up my jig for door handle drilling? I'm grateful for the time saved and anxiety I never experienced.💚💙💜
This video Just In Time!.....We are installing our new kitchen with 60 handles in 10 weeks - Thanks Shannon!
Great kit Shannon. Thanks.
For sure I 👍 up
Nice work. Thanks, Shannon!
Lovely video, thank you.
Thank you Shannon!! Great post as usual!!
Great video sir!
I'll have one. Thanks for the video.
THAT'S a great tool! Thank you for this video.
Very nice tool
Great video, brother.
👍👍👍Thank you.
I found a similar jig on Amazon for around $55 USD. It does take a bit of time to get the jig set up with lots of checking and confirmation before drilling. The instructions that came with mine will make you wish they contained more detail so thank you for putting this video up because it really helped to have a "real world" example to help clarify proper use. My recommendation is to tighten each knob periodically to ensure it didn't somehow work loose and throw off your work. I ended up using a punch to mark my holes and drilling without the jig in position rather than drill through the jig holes, as the bit it came is tight and I didn't want it to grab and pull the jig, thus scratching an expensive door. Like you said, once it's set up you can add handles to all the similar hardware handles and position and it makes a whole kitchen project much easier.
Great tool for what I’m seeing; I wish I had it six months ago. I built myself a very simple wooden jig with 1/5” pine I had in the garage and it worked great, but nothing like having a precision tool without the guess work.
Very naic woork 👍 👍 👷♂️
{Total non-expert} Centering the handle by eyeballing a marked tape seems at odds with the point of the jig. Obviously, the scale can be used to center the handle between screw holes. Do you find screw holes a poor reference to the visual center of handles?
Thank you for the product tip, and especially your honest opinions. Remember, you're still The Man!
You are absolutely correct.
Geezus man, you need to be a carpentry teacher at a technical college
I'm instructor in the largest class room now....You Tube! LOL
In-person instruction from this guy would be priceless. The trouble is how well he can keep a straight face. "Good job" could mean a number of things :D
Hey pal. Long time no hear. Good to see you.
You have to reset it for the adjacent door or can it be flipped?
It looks like the jig can be flipped to me. It has T style stops on this system, and the bushings seem to be the same thickness as the jig.
If not, I guess you can drill the holes from the inside the door. Just use a backer block for sure
You can just flip the jig for the opposite door.
Shannon that's an awesome jig. Question? Have you heard about the guy who got kicked out of Ikea? He asked the lady "How much for one-night stand". 🤣🤣🤣 Did you get it? - furniture jokes I know, I'll go sit in the corner for 15 min
We got this for our kitchen and was a fantastic tool to install 33 long format handles which the builder didn't want to install (12in c-c).. Not an expert and the most I've done is built ikea stuff and this jig made those 33 handles a breeze! Although now I have a $300 tool with no future use. They should create a rental program IMHO..
If your builder didn't want to install them then you need a new builder. My cabinet installer installs any hardware my clients want.
It looks like an awesome jig cool tool but a bit pricey for a home owner!
So for double doors, are you able to simply turn it over to get the the marks without having any parts of the jig interfering?
Absolutey, just flip the jig.
Does it work on shaker style drawer with inset
It does the bushings in the guilds help keep the drill bit perpendicular so that you are accurate even with the guilds being away form the center panel of shaker drawers.
I like your smile
Haha, Thanks John, you obviously watched my April Fools video . Thanks for the ego boost! LOL
I have a cheaper version of this jig but beware the middle hole for single knobs ! While doing a kitchen full of two screw handles I accidentally poked the drill bit into the middle hole and wrecked a door , I taped it off for the rest and then put a dowel into it to prevent me doing that again
For sure.
👍🏼👍🏼
i'm not sure but I don't know that you mentioned who it is made by...
Yup I did in the first minute and a half or so. There is a link in the video description as well.
not a bad tool Shannon, however, you still have to reset the jig for left turning doors, the jig is set for right turning doors right now
Flip it over
It just flips over for the opposite door.
Shannon! I thought you left RUclips ;)
RE watch that video to the end. It was an April Fools joke.
@@HouseImprovements I was just teasing!
@@tomekc1113 sure
April Fools...oh wait...wrong video!
400 $ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am still pissed off about your April fool's joke... Still watched. I can see using this.
😂
LOL, glad you're still watching bud!
Thanks. I did a kitchen last year and i remember struggling with the precision (and time lost) trying to get everything perfect. This tool will be a savior for my future projects.
I thought you shut down your channel ? No matter how good that jig system is its made the professional installing many cabinets per year . I don’t know about your other followers but have not interest in this tool period.
If you mistakenly mis drill or mark one door and have to replace it you have paid for the jig .
