6 people in your household each having an Amazon Prime account! If you needed the cost of living crisis to realise thats wasteful then please done give me any advice
Lol at 1:50. The girl who boils her kettle just once a day has bought an iPhone 13 Pro 🙄. I bet she can't even tell the difference between that and the 12 Pro or the 13 (excluding the third camera).
How about a properly managed country instead of being run by thief’s, I mean sure if Someone steals my bike I can use a “hack” and walk, but how about nobody steals my bike in the first place!! our attention should be focused on the cause and not the effect, no wonder people are going mad it’s akin to gaslighting!
Sorry your bike was stolen that sucks. One time my bike was stolen few days later saw someone riding it to gym waited til they went inside and stole it back.
I don't really see the point in avoiding boiling a kettle. Doesn't it cost about 1-2p to boil the minimum amount (500mls)? Also, you're already having to pay the standing charge for your electricity, so for a few extra pennies, why not make the most of it and have the luxury of a few cups of tea?
The asian lady's financial acumen gives me chills. I would rather leave the UK altogether if it comes boiling kettle once a day. These level of poverty is not even experienced in third world country other than when the media wants to make a point about third world poverty.
I am doing this whole my life, but it doesn’t help, because I have almost $3500 mortgage payment without including water, electrical and other bills, and don’t forget insurance for car and tax for home, $1000-1200 for food every month, $1000 every month medical insurance for family of four, it’s insane. I live in US.
Very good advice. I myself have stopped washing myself, and I only brush my teeth every Saturday. I hang my used socks and underpants out by the window - let the rain, wind and sun do the work.
I’ve been doing this for the last 15 years.. especially at the supermarket, I go to the clearance section first, then the bulk deals and then the few staples. I see everything else as overpriced junk.
Boils water and puts it into flasks then uses the most expensive branded plant based milk instead of cheap own-brand versions doh! If you don't do dairy in tea drink redbush tea no milk needed.
You can save even more money by shopping in Lidl. Everything in there is cheap. Also buying a bike from Argos will save you money rather than renting the santander bikes.
Switching Broadband every year, or at least threaten to and get a discount. Don't pay for an unnecessarily powerful phone and just do a sim only deal for £8 per month. Use my brothers Netflix and Amazon accounts. Stopped paying for TV services and now watch all my sports, series and films through piracy. Get the wife to wash the dishes instead of using the dishwasher. Share a Travel card with my wife and walk through the large barriers at the same time. Just a few from me.
Watching the video and reading the comments I am shocked. To me it seems extreme that people are drinking less tea to save on the water bill, or buying a smaller shower head. Or even buying nearly-expired groceries. I am living in a country where I choose the best for myself and my family, and things are not that expensive to go to these lengths. Just to paint a full picture a my salary is far below average in the country and in the city I live in. And, I am not living in Europe / the UK. I think it is very sad that the governments do not control things enough for the people to have the best.
I just drink and bathe in the dirty puddle water on my neighbours shed roof. I see birds bathing in there and drinking the water. So it must be safe. 🤷♂️
These tips are decent and I do some of these. It really just depends on what I'm doing that week. I personally work from home and use the bus to get to work when I need to get to the office. I think also making use of your freezer if you have one and bulk buying if you have the storage and money to do so (Going halves with someone could be an option). I'm also not based in London so some of these tips like bikes and off peak travel aren't particularly relevant or accessible to me.
all that time and energy to save a few pennies here and there. surely you could invest the same time into building more money instead? also these are not even decent money saving tips.
These people are not representative of those who are suffering a crisis.
@Anon
How would you know?
@@redemrys5342 people in crisis don't generally eat Salmon or use branded plant based milks.
They're idiot middle classers that are rather sheltered by their assets or their parents. Don't know struggles at all.
@@jonnythelegs2597 no they do. they’re rubbish with money hence they’re living in the developed world and in crisis.
These hacks are old. People having been doing them for years.
That you have to "hack" to be able to live is itself quite telling of life in the UK.

😂
Honestly, and here's me paying £20 a month for the bare minimum android phone

Don't leave an electric bike locked outside. Only do it if you can see it.

Take the kettle to the library and use the plug sockets to boil the water
@@CosmicVoid420 haha yeah I used to spend a lot of time in the library
This is a daft video. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who hasn't been doing these things for most of their life anyway
I guarantee most people watching are doing at least 3 out of 5 of these already. Insanely out of touch.
What a piece of bull... This is common sense most pressed familes know and teach their kids too...
Do you guys understand what's is hardship

I doubt the sincerity and motivation behind this particular video.
Now get some true working poor and ask them their saving tips. They know what it is to struggle.
Renting out clothes? Shudder.

Can we stop calling the cost of 'living' now?

You’re worth more than that J

Did you spot the large diamond ring on the lady… maybe that’s what she’s been saving for?
Born in UK but she is an Arab. Got daddy's money.
Really that is not even living...
"reduced section" yeah and the war that comes with trying to get the front
These people are clearly middle-class 🤔

I've tried plant based milk in tea and I can say; absolutely not the one
My mums been doing the flask thing for decades

Thanks John
I’m stealing stuff when I go food shopping, doing a lot of cash in hand work and selling weed. I’ve got a uni degree that I burn to keep warm too.
I started eating gras and drinking water from the sky. I am happy now 😂
Nihil Novi folks. I have been doing that for ages
