I’m from a little dark place in the north side of Pittsburgh pa I’m moved to the suburbs when I was 15 to help a family member n I skateboard too it gave me some type of freedom tho I had the city imbedded in me it saved me moving out that way I don’t know this young man but much love from where I’m from I listen too his interviews before smart young man
I was the only skater from my hood and I caught HELL for that. This was back in 02' when black skateboarders were rare. I didn't give a fuck though, that shit was mad fun and I think many others would have done it too if they werent afraid of being labeled white.

His Mom thought by working so hard and keeping them clean and decent she was doing the best thing, but really he needed her presence/more focus on them. You got to keep an eye on your kids in the hood, meaning they can't be standing on the block, they got to be in afterschool, sports, playing an instrument....you got to know _where_ they are. That's the only way to raise half way functional kids in the hood by keeping them so busy they have little time to run the streets with bad influences.
